The S&P is a right wing anti-America fringe group!

S&Pteabaggerssuckling___whitenoiseinsanitydotcomphotoWe knew it would be a matter of time before the America-haters reared their ugly heads! The S&P on behalf of the tea party hate group has downgraded America’s credit rating before even doing the same for Italy, Spain, or France. See? They hate America!!!! This American company has downgraded America’s debt rating for the first time in our nation’s history, but they don’t want us to believe that this move has nothing to do with the skin color of our current president or politics!

“The U.S. immediately lashed out at S&P, with a Treasury Department spokesman saying the firm’s analysis contains a $2 trillion error. The spokesman, who asked not to be identified by name, didn’t elaborate, saying the mistake speaks for itself.”

A $2 trillion error in S&P’s calculations, but that hasn’t stopped these asswipes at all!

How much more can our nation take with these right wing fringers in charge????

  1. Kay, I think you are kinda overreacting here. Standard & Poor has come out to say that the reason they downgraded to AA+ was because of the brinkmanship that Congress displayed in order to simply raise the ability to borrow to pay off debt already incurred. They noted (and I am paraphrasing here)that at no time in the history of raising the debt ceiling has one Party been willing to toss the entire economy under the bus just to gain political points over another Party.

Basically, the Standard & Poor downgrading was a rebuke to the Tea Party terrorists for holding the full faith and credit of the US hostage in order to get something that they could have waited another month to deal with in the 2012-2013 budget.

    • Hi DJ!!! Wow, haven’t seen your name in awhile! Yes, I was flipping out last night and then this morning I did this post because I was pissed that the S&P (who thought CDS were a wonderful idea!) would go after America the way they did. I know very well that this was a political move by them and one that is aimed at the teabaggers who won’t budge on raising taxes on the wealthy and how they do not like the fact that Boner chose his budget/debt ceiling bill over President Obama’s.

We all know the teabaggers on right wing radio (this is the other thing that pisses me off about what the S&P did!) come Monday will be saying things like, “See? We have an African American president who is a Dem leading the nation which causes the stock market to plunge and the S&P to lower the credit rating of the U.S. for the first time in our history!” or something like that. Pisses me off that they will spread lies and get away without taking the blame!

      • Bachmann, Romney, and Huntsman wasted no time in blaming it all on Obama. S&P wanted the $4 TRILLION debt reduction that Obama had originally promoted that was shot down by Boehner, McConnell and their ilk, NOT the $2 TRILLION Republican plan that passed. But then Obama’s plan would have involved raising taxes on the very rich and Big Oil. We cannot have the CORPfascists sacrificing a little bit now, can we?

        • OMG about your son, DJ!!!! What a heartbreaking thing to have to go through. My heart goes out to you and your family. :( Your son’s death is an abomination!

I’m not saying Democrats are without fault, but as you noted in your comment, Obama and most of the Dems wanted tax increases on the wealthy to be part of the deal. At least they tried! With the republicans in control, revenues will never be an option. We were all pissed that the republicans couldn’t budge just a little and in the end, there were as many Dems as republicans voting against raising the debt ceiling, so they all should be ashamed of themselves. Putting the debt ceiling in the budget is what gave us this “all or nothing” bullshit we had to watch for weeks.

Anyway, none of this matters really, because your family has been through a horrible tragedy. I wish I could change things in a way where there was no discrimination at all, DJ.

  2. I’ll bet that the big S&P boys are republicans solely bent on getting their boy or girl elected in 2012.

They can’t stand having a black president and anything he does is wrong, socialist or “out of touch”. The republicans long for the Bush days when they could become fat and rich, with no opposition from the White House.

As far as I’m concerned, the S&P are worse than the terrorists, as they seem to care little about the U.S. economy. After all, if it costs more to borrow money now with a downgraded rating, the economy will just get worse, not better. The S&P just want to line their pockets, and don’t give a damn about the average american who is struggling to survive economically.

  3. Maybe this whole mess would have been avoided if the 111th Congress had passed a budget for fiscal 2011. If there had been a budget in place we would not have run into the debt ceiling as soon as we did.

Debt ceiling is kind of stupid anyhow as every government in the world seems to find more and more ways to spend money.

  4. Currently in Quebec for 3 days and listening to Canadian TV, hearing folks up here BLAMING the Republicans in the USA. Many are upset that Canada, which isn’t doing too badly economically, might be dragged down by the USA.

    • The Brits blame the American REICH, also!

Sadly, others around the World can see the truth all too clearly. We are a nation probably as divided as at any time since the Civil War. I have lived under 13 presidents and have never seen such acrimony in Washington:

Compounding this collision of ideologies is a populace so indifferent to the workings of their own government that they are unable to choose which model they prefer.

  5. Hmmm … Both Germany, always well organized, and France, generally despised by the right, have AAA credit ratings. And here we are, the greatest, most wonderful, and most scary powerful nation on earth has a puny AA+ rating. So much for US exceptionalism.

Maybe if Obama kicks Grover Norquest in the shins hard enough they might drop it a few more steps. Then we can hang around the EU and make obnoxious noises until they drop a few trillions into the tin cup.

I think ‘unwashed, nuclear-armed, obnoxious, derelict, panhandler’ is the role the US was meant to play. Grover has the look.

    • Can you imagine if President Obama kicked Grover in the shins? The right wing would cry their eyeballs out and react the same way whenever Obama goes after Wall Street Corporate Welfare Whores: “He’s so mean!!!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”.
