 Vernon Hunter was working his job at the IRS in Austin, Texas on the day Joseph Stack decided to burn his house down, then drove to the airport to start up his plane, and then proceeded to slam his plane into the IRS building where Hunter stood. Vernon, who was a two tour of duty Vietnam veteran, was working and paying his taxes like the rest of us on that fateful day and is the true hero here….not Joe Stack like Stack’s daughter has said (she has retracted this statement, but it was her first reaction)! We must remember…
Vernon’s life was snuffed out by another American on American soil by an American suicide bomber, you know, a domestic terrorist. Horrific! This is not heroism!
We all define heroism differently, but I believe it’s not heroic to kill innocent people to make a statement like Joe Stack did. That’s what al-Qaeda does. It’s not heroic to drop atomic bombs far above the city onto innocent people like Paul Tibbets did in World War II (hell, after he died he told his family to not say where he’s buried because he didn’t want anyone spitting on his grave. See? A coward!). And….it’s never heroic to go to your workplace to shoot and kill your colleagues all because you didn’t get tenure. These people are not heroes. They’re barbarians who do not deserve any kind of positive recognition at all!

Rest in peace, Vernon. You were a war veteran, a Daddy, a neighbor, a hard worker, a grandfather, a husband, and a good man who was kind. We thank you for your service to our country and for making a good life for yourself and those around you! Vernon was living the American dream. What more can we say? Oh wait….he’s a hero! 
Think Progress has THE DETAILS. Does Scott Brownshirt understand that federal employees were targeted in Stack’s attack? Or does he hate the federal government he’s now serving in that much that he doesn’t care if they’re targeted within our nation’s borders? Not sure, but as Think Progress points out Brown’s reaction is yawn worthy. He appears to not care about domestic terrorism at all. His heart did go out to Stack’s family though. Wow! Speaking of domestic terrorism, CPAC 2010 is underway! The Brownshirts gave Dick Cheney the war criminal a standing ovation, lots of fist pumping, and whistles when he entered the room…
Applauding war criminals at CPAC wasn’t their only mantra of the evening, but it is their movement’s common theme. At a tea party protest in Washington state, the Brownshirts also loved the idea of LYNCHING DEMOCRATIC SENATOR PATTY MURRAY! (one person wanted to castrate President Obama also!) Yes, that’s right. Rachel Maddow went to CPAC last night to see what the hell the conservatives were up to. She found that they were spewing the typical lies and was taken aback at how the conservatives are putting forth their own “Constitutions” complete with Ron Paul writing his own preamble to the real U.S. Constitution, because that’s right….REWRITING, REBRANDING, AND REDEFINING THE CONSTITUTION TO FIT THE CONSERVATIVE’S WARPED AGENDA AND IDEOLOGY IS THE HEARTBEAT OF THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT RIGHT NOW! They don’t respect the laws of our nation, though they say they do. They want a lawless society where Dick Cheney gets away with war crimes by ignoring the Geneva Convention and where hanging women, men, and children in the town square is the law, because they don’t want health care reform or because their ideology is different from the conservatives. See?

Pastor Wiley Drake kicked off this Presidents’ Day Weekend with an email blast to his supporters saying “Imprecatory Prayer is now our DUTY” and announcing a daily teleconference call to advance the cause. Drake has been an enthusiastic advocate of imprecatory prayer since he announced that God answered his call with the murder of Kansas abortion clinic doctor George Tiller in church last May. “George Tiller was far greater in his atrocities than Adolf Hitler,” Drake said at the time, “so I am happy. I am glad that he is dead.” This emboldened him to add “the usurper that is in the White House … B. Hussein Obama” to the list said in his church on Sundays.
In Pastor Drake’s own vicious vile ungodly words: “I’m known as a birther, you know. I don’t believe Obama was born in this country. He’s an illegal alien and so forth,” Wiley told me, matter-of-factly. “And so I began to pray what the Bible teaches us to pray and that is imprecatory prayer. An imprecatory prayer is very strong. Imprecatory prayer in Psalms 109, for example, says if you have an evil leader above you, you pray that Satan will stand by his side and you ask God to make his children fatherless and his wife a widow and that his time in office be short… Other Psalms say when they speak evil, God will break out their teeth and when they run to do destruction God will break their legs.”

I don’t have a link to the audio of this caller’s statement, but he called into the Howie Carr radio show on Friday, January 8, 2010 between 4:25-4:35pm and said in part, “If he wasn’t in the White House today he would be on the no-fly list”. In other words, “President Obama is a right wing terrorist like al-Qaida is and if he hadn’t been voted in the U.S. government would be keeping their eye on him because he’s dangerous”! Of course, right wing neck drooler Howie Carr agreed with the caller as he usually does but when a liberal caller is able to get through to talk to him on his show to question him, Howie acts like a 4 year old whiny child and hangs up on the person. See? Howie is a true jackboot licking Bushitler worshiper to the end! War is terror Howie and for George Bush’s 8 years you worshiped that kind of terrorism!

There will certainly be eye-popping deficits and spending, which will give Beck (and Republicans) plenty to talk about next year.
Unfortunately, cable news stations are becoming more involved in promoting events [emit] and this will exacerbate that disturbing trend. This is probably good news for ratings at both Fox News and MSNBC, which can both rely more than ever on Beck’s craziness to attract viewers.

Have you heard Howie Carr, Glenn Beck and other right wingers saying that there has never been a Muslim backlash in our country by Americans? I have and it’s pissing me off, because there has ALWAYS been a backlash to the Muslim community.
After the Oklahoma City Bombing, the Muslims were blamed for the attack or some thought they were behind it:

~Four bricks were thrown through the windows of a Muslim bookstore in Alexandria, VA. Also in Virginia, two mosques reported vandalism.
~On the afternoon of Saturday, 2001-SEP-15, a gunman killed the 49 year old owner of a gas station in Mesa, AZ. He was a Sikh. His family believes that he was killed because he “looked Middle Eastern.” Additional shots were fired at a Lebanese clerk and at the home of an Afghan family.
~The British Broadcasting Commission (BBC) reported that there had been many death threats and assaults against Muslims.
~Two mosques were firebombed with Molotov cocktails during the weekend of OCT-20-21. They are located in Burlington and Mississauga, near Toronto ON Canada. Kendrich House, 35, from Oakville ON has allegedly been charged.

To say that there has never been a backlash is so laughable. What is going on is the right wing of this country hates anyone who is darker than pasty white, but after the Fort Hood massacre (everyone agrees Hasan is a criminal and should go to jail for the rest of his life!), they want us to believe that there isn’t one person in America right now who calls themselves a conservative is not planning something. Oh yes, these are the same people who turned their back when a white conservative walked into a church and killed two liberals. These are the same people who rallied, applauded, and was orgasmic at the killing of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan after Bush lied to our nation! Seriously, for the conservatives to go on record saying there has never been a backlash against Muslims by Americans ever is just hysterical and their way of removing themselves from their hatred!
Oh please. Fox News right now is drumming up their own hatred towards MUSLIMS in response to the Fort Hood massacre and we all know what will happen in response?
