QUOTE OF THE DAY:
GLENN BECK AT CPAC 2010:
‘Hello, my name is the Republican Party, and I’ve got a problem. I’m addicted to spending and big government…I’m addicted to spending and I just don’t want to spend today.’

"If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” ~ John F. Kennedy, 1960

It appears that THIS POST is the one that has caused the boner in my blog hits! Funny. You’d think it would have been caused by the post I did on the 3,000 Todd Palin emails that were recently released to the public through MSNBC! Nope. *shaking head at the fickleness of the Internet(s)*
Gawd, am I sick of these two ‘wars’. We cannot win either ‘war’ and people like Sarah Palin need to shut up about it (troop surge to ‘win’). If we truly can ‘win’ these two ‘wars’ then would someone please lay out what winning in either country looks like! If you can’t, then support a withdrawal from both.
I don’t want to hear, “But Kay! If we leave Afghanistan, al-Qaeda will attack us in America again!”. Bullshit. If we are attacked again, it will be done by the likes of Dick Cheney and his ilk, okay? Seriously, if we are attacked again, it won’t be because of the al-Qaeda bogeymen! We were told by Eric Holder yesterday that the recent Brooklyn arrest: “This alleged plot was one of the most serious terrorist threats to our country since September 11, 2001…There was certainly an Al Qaeda connection.” Doesn’t it make sense to get these assholes on our soil rather than continue to piss off this group overseas by occupying their countries? How many more American soldiers will have to die to keep everyone’s egos in check? Seriously, it’s time to get the fuck out to concentrate on the security of our own country!
Ronald Reagan loved the Taliban back in the 1980’s…

George Bush made it perfectly clear 8 years ago that going after Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan was never the strategy. He said it was but did he send in hundreds of thousands of troops to get the job done? Nope! Wasn’t honestly important to him. Keeping the Taliban from being in power in Afghanistan was never the strategy either. Making sure al-Qaeda didn’t go into Pakistan to spread itself out wasn’t on the list of things not to allow also!
There’s an oil pipeline in Afghanistan that needs to be completed though. Check. Hamid Karzai’s connection to Union Oil Company of California & Chevron and putting him in charge of Afghanistan. Check.
We’ve been duped.
It’s time to leave Afghanistan and Iraq to stop the bullshit. The next time we are attacked (and I fully expect we will be after 8 years of the Bush Regime’s warmongering & bullying! Besides, Dick Cheney says he knows for sure that it will be nuclear the next time around!), WE SHOULD NOT ATTACK A COUNTRY IN RETALIATION. We should just bury our dead, mourn our dead, and then rebuild. That’s what civilized countries do. Bombing and killing innocent people in other countries under the guise of “we’re working for peace!” is just fueling more rage against us. We look like a bunch of hypocrites. TIME TO LEAVE BOTH COUNTRIES NOW!
Let’s be clear about something….the right wingers of America want a troop surge in Afghanistan, because they hope this surge will create another Vietnam war. They want to be able to say, “See? Under George Bush, the Afghan war was fine. Everything was smooth, and then President Obama is the one who made it horrible!”. THIS IS WHY THEY ARE WANTING MORE TROOPS IN THERE. They want America to lose for political reasons. They don’t give a shit about our troops at all. We need to get our troops home now to save them from this kind of catastrophe!
So, what do you think? Should we stay or should we go now?
Nice try Condi Rice in putting out that fake strawman scenario on behalf of the Military Industrial Complex and Your Base. Leaving Afghanistan or being in Afghanistan has nothing to do with our country’s safety, because if it truly did, George Bush would have originally sent in a gazillion US troops to Afghanistan back in 2001 after the 9/11/01 attack (you know, the biggest attack on our nation that you and Georgie joked about coming a month before it happened). But he didn’t. He didn’t care about Osama bin Laden either, though, he did use ‘al-Qaida’ (The Base) in every sentence to keep the fear going that The Base lived in our basements and would attack us at a moment’s notice if we weren’t careful.
If Afghanistan was truly the one thing keeping our country safe, then why did George Bush stop the FBI/CIA from further looking for Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan years ago? I thought you ninnies said we were attacked on 9/11/01 because Clinton didn’t get Osama so it was Clinton’s fault our nation was attacked! Well, by your own rhetoric, George Bush and The Base will be blamed for the next one!
I still to this day believe that The Base (al-Qaida) is a death squad created in the 1980’s by American Republicans, because after 8 years of the ‘waronterra’ you’d think we know more about The Base. Nope! We don’t know nothing about them, because to delve too deeply would bring us right back to Condi Rice, George Bush, Dick Cheney, our government, and the rest of the warmongering thieves over the last 3 decades!
Here’s Ronald Reagan having a brunch at the White House with Afghan Taliban leaders back in the 1980’s….

If we are attacked again on American soil, it will be the fault of our government again and not one person is going to say, “This is the war in Afghanistan’s fault!”. Just because President Obama is in the White House does not mean Dick Cheney and The Base are not conspiring another false flag attack on our soil via Cheney’s Shadow Government to go to war with Iran to feed the Military Industrial Complex! No way will I blame our current President for the next attack. What better way for Israel to attack Iran than if The Base in America gives them the fuel they need to have a reason to launch missiles into Iran at the end of this year! Seriously, The Base and Israel….united in infamy! Big huge false attacks are all they have at this point to keep their New World Order going!
The nineteen 9/11 hijackers lived in America. They were allowed to attack our nation on the morning of 9/11/01 without interruption. The End.
Dick Cheney told us recently that the next attack will be a nuclear attack. He’s sure of it. Nice to know he’s giving us a forewarning this time around! The Base is busy right now. Luckily for them, they have Glenn Beck to shake up the dialogue to keep everyone looking in the other direction. See? The Base needs cover and they will speak to us soon! You can be sure. Who the hell is going to blame the war in Afghanistan when it happens? I won’t be!!!!
Awwwwwwwwwwww, isn’t that nice. Sarah ‘The Quitter’ Palin is on her last week of work as Governor of Alaska before she starts collecting money from her poor supporters by faking them out she’s running for the presidency in 2012, has now taken the time (as a Momma Bear Warrior Princess would!) to let us know on her Twitter account that she is ferociously (*growl*/*hiss*) monitoring the Alaskan-based U.S. soldier who was captured in Afghanistan by the Taliban….

Momma Bear Warrior Princess to the rescue! No Taliban member will ever outsmart her…..evahh! She’s on the case people! Someone’s face is going to be ripped off after the Momma Bear Warrior Princess has spoken! Uh oh. Wait a minute. Here’s what the captured soldier said on the video released recently…
“To my fellow Americans who have loved ones over here, who know what it’s like to miss them, you have the power to make our government bring them home,” he said. “Please, please bring us home so that we can be back where we belong and not over here, wasting our time and our lives and our precious life that we could be using back in our own country. Please bring us home. It is America and American people who have that power.”
Ummmm, Sarah? He wants to come home, so have you told this soldier yet that you are the Great War/Warrior Princess and how you supported George Bush’s occupation of Iraq and his other war in Afghanistan? Since you’re monitoring the situation, you might want to contact the Taliban (or invite the Taliban to your house in Wasilla to talk just like Ronald Reagan did back in the 1980’s when he brought them to the White House!) and let them know that it doesn’t matter what the U.S. soldier says, he’s staying there for as long as you can use these two wars to win a presidential election!!!! Sarah, he needs your Momma Bear Warrior Princess power to bring him home!
Sarah, you believe our soldiers are in Iraq and Afghanistan because they’ve been sent there as a task of God’s…
“Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God,” she exhorted the congregants. “That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.”
So, does God hate this Alaskan-based soldier, Sarah? I’m sure if the Warrior Princess gets word that our soldier has been tortured (including waterboarded!), she being the good right wing nutcase & member of today’s GOP (the American Taliban), she will be fine with it and will say it’s God’s punishment and well deserved! Right Sarah? You wouldn’t want to look all wimpy weeping at the thought of torture being done on one of our soldiers at God’s hands after your party has spent many years beating their chests like a bunch of cavemen on the subject by letting us know how useful a tool it is!
All of our soldiers need to come home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Some of us have been saying this since 2003, but then again, there are some like Sarah who need these two wars to beat their chests with to prove to us how manly they are (right Momma Bear Warrior Princess)! Spit.
“In August of 2001, at a time that Bush administration officials were negotiating about a possible oil pipeline deal with Afghanistan’s Taliban government, and talking about providing funds for a program to get farmers to shift away from opium cultivation to more useful cash crops—a time, that is, when the Taliban were not considered America’s enemy—Lindh crossed the border and started training to be a fighter.”
When America has two oil men in the White House, you would expect them to love our enemies all in the name of oil! Well, that’s what happened. George Bush was fine with the Taliban in 2001, even though, it was Osama bin Laden whom the Clinton Administration had said should be the Bush Regime’s number one focus, but as we now know, George Bush talked about Saddam Hussein from January 2001 to September 10, 2001 instead. Why? Because Saddam Hussein sat above the 2nd largest oil reserve on the planet. For nine months prior to 9/11, the Bush Regime considered terrorism as ’smerrorism’, because their main focus coming into office early on was ALL ABOUT OIL CONTRACTS & PIPELINES! And nothing else.
A month after the Bush Regime was trying to hammer out an oil pipeline deal with the Afghan Taliban government, 9/11/01 happened and it all changed (well, sort of….putting in Unocal’s big boy Hamid Karzai was a key move for Bush Oil Cartel’s pipeline deal!).
Remember this guy?….

This person is strapped to a board in U.S. Custody. He was the Bush Regime’s first torture victim! Nice huh? He looks comfortable doesn’t he? He’s been in U.S. custody for over 7 years now and I’m sure Sean Hannity would not have been able to endure the torture this person did over all these years! In fact, did I tell you the nationality of this person who is strapped to a board in U.S. custody? No? Well….
HE’S AN AMERICAN!
Yes, that’s right. He’s an American. His name is John Walker Lindh and he joined the Taliban (the same Taliban George Bush had no problem in dealing with remember!) after spending some time in Pakistan to nourish his curiosity about Islam. He sympathized with the Taliban, because just like Ronald Reagan said years ago about the Taliban, the Taliban are the ‘freedom fighters’ no different than our Founding Fathers were!
Lindh is the example of how the Bush Regime was torturing ANYONE to make their case to invade Iraq at some point, because by being in Iraq, the Bush Regime’s Oil Cartel could use the war in Iraq as a way to deflect attention away from what they were doing in Afghanistan. See? It all makes sense now.
From OpEd (emphasis mine):
At that point, when the Americans discovered they had an American amongst their captives, Lindh’s situation worsened dramatically. Stripped naked and duct-taped, blindfolded, to a gurney, he was then placed inside an unheated metal shipping container. Left there for days in the cold and dark, Lindh was removed once daily and interrogated. His interrogators allegedly tortured him, as well as threatening him repeatedly with death. His pleas to see an attorney were mocked, and word that his parents had already arranged for representation was withheld from him (a situation that led a government lawyer involved in his case to protest and ultimately resign).
At some point during this abuse, Lindh caved in to his fears of death at the hands of his captors and signed a “confession” to being a traitor to America. At that point he was flown back to the US, where Attorney General Ashcroft touted him as the “American Taliban,” initially vowing to try him for treason (which carries a death sentence).
He signed a confession that he’s a traitor to America after being tortured by Americans to get him to confess to this? This is kind of hypocritical don’t ya think!
From Salon.com back in 2002 (emphasis mine):
Jul 16, 2002 | After more than seven months of legal maneuvering, John Walker Lindh, the young man from suburban Marin County, Calif., who decided to join the Taliban last August, has been convicted for the crime of failing to keep up with the Federal Register. Had he read that journal of U.S. legal notices as he was huddled in a trench facing Northern Alliance forces, he would have learned that, following the al-Qaida attack on the World Trade Center, he was suddenly in violation of law against “supplying services to” an enemy of the United States.
[snip]
Lindh had been facing life in prison for his involvement with the ousted Taliban regime in Afghanistan. But the plea agreement appeared to be a tacit acknowledgement by the federal government that its case was at best uncertain against the 21-year-old Islamic convert. Dropped were all charges of terrorism, consorting with al-Qaida, and attempting to kill Americans. Nor did the agreement mention the government’s earlier claim that Walker had been guilty of participation in a plot to murder CIA agent Johnny Spann, who died in an uprising of captured Taliban and al-Qaida fighters shortly after he had been interrogating Walker at the Mazar-i-Sharif prison.
Isn’t it time to let John Walker Lindh go free? I think so. Oh wait! Is it possible Lindh has been tortured so badly the Bush Regime would block the release of him even today because they don’t want Americans to see what Americans have done to this American? Hey, could be.
How come George Bush & Dick Cheney weren’t captured, detained, and tortured for their role in supporting the Taliban before 9/11/01? Oh wait! That’s because they are worse THAN THE TALIBAN! Nevermind.
It’s time to free John Walker Lindh, because if George & Dickey are free to roam the planet after all the raping, torturing, and killing they’ve done, then Lindh should be free because he didn’t kill anyone!
No? Here’s a picture of the meeting between Reagan and the ‘freedom fighters’ (which is what Reagan referred to the Taliban as back in the 80’s and also considered them to be no different than America’s Founding Fathers)…

(picture)
Nice huh? The American Taliban (today’s republic party) is going batshit crazy with the idea President Obama shook hands (and received a book! The nerve of that ‘dictator’!!!) with Hugo Chavez, you know, the guy George Bush labeled an enemy of America without any proof as to why. Anyway, Newt Gingrich is now claiming that republicans never meet with dictators (especially the Russian ones!) or the bad guys (nor do they shake hands, kiss, bow, or look them in the eye to see their soul!). Uh huh.
Here’s what Newt Who Needs Gingko Biloba said (quotes copied from Think Progress):
Q: But do you think he should not be trying to mend relationships with other world leaders?
GINGRICH: How do you mend relationships with somebody who hates your country, who actively calls for the destruction of your country and who wants to undermine you?
Q: But we certainly have mended relationships with countries that have hated us in the past. Russia comes to mind, China comes to mind.
GINGRICH: But we didn’t rush over, smile, and greet Russian dictators. We understood who they were.
Interesting Newty, because George Bush said he could see Vladamir Putin’s soul upon meeting him for the first time…

(picture)
Bush & Putin were basically in love with each other, but according to Newty, republicans never reach out to the Russians or dictators in general.
Here’s Newt Gingrich meeting with Russia’s former Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin…

Ooooopsie. And they’re smiling and carrying on too! Oh boy. HYPOCRITE/LIAR.
Then there was the time George Bush met with Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan….you know….the brutal dictator who likes to BOIL PEOPLE ALIVE for shits and giggles (and the country where George Bush sent some of the prisoners to be tortured at the secret CIA prisons there!)….

Of course, everyone remembers the time Donald Rumsfeld under Ronald Reagan couldn’t wait to meet their new buddy, Saddam Hussein….

Every time I see this photo of Rummy shaking hands with Saddam, all I can hear is him saying to Saddam, “Man, am I glad to meet you! I can’t wait to start selling you arms and helping you any way I can! So nice to meet ya Saddam!”.
Republican leaders most definitely smile at Russian dictators…

(picture)
…so don’t let Newt fool ya. In fact, every picture I’ve come across online of the right wingers with dictators(HERE and HERE especially!), I see lots of smiling!!! Tons of it!!!!
The funniest part about the right wing’s made up controversy over President Obama shaking hands with Hugo Chavez? Chavez isn’t a dictator. He was duly elected overwhelmingly by the people of Venezuala. Dictators don’t allow free elections!
A sampling of the American Taliban…

(picture)
The Taliban of Afghanistan (I don’t see much of a difference really)…

(picture)
President Obama has way too many Talibans to have to deal with. I don’t think any American president before him had this many on one plate, so it wasn’t surprising when I read that President Obama was going to try to talk to the more moderate Taliban in Afghanistan rather than trying to deal with the American Taliban here in our country, you know, the American Taliban consisting of the Rush Limbaughs, the David Vitters, the John Boners, the Pete Sessions and others. I mean, really, when the American Taliban keeps telling you that they want you to fail, but want you to win in Iraq and Afghanistan, I guess it does make sense to try finding some common ground with the Taliban in Afghanistan! Dealing with the American Taliban can be very exhausting and can make one feel like they’re paddling against the tide in a chicken wire canoe!
From the New York Times (emphasis mine):
Asked if the United States was winning in Afghanistan, a war he effectively adopted as his own last month by ordering an additional 17,000 troops sent there, Mr. Obama replied flatly, “No.”
Mr. Obama said on the campaign trail last year that the possibility of breaking away some elements of the Taliban “should be explored,” an idea also considered by some military leaders. But now he has started a review of policy toward Afghanistan and Pakistan intended to find a new strategy, and he signaled that reconciliation could emerge as an important initiative, mirroring the strategy used by Gen. David H. Petraeus in Iraq.
Once President Obama is done breaking away some elements of the Taliban in Afghanistan, I hope he can do the same thing back here in America with the American Taliban. It appears Sen. Arlen Specter, a republican and a member of the American Taliban, is thinking about breaking away because he wants to win his re-election in 2010. If more American Taliban members did this, the quicker we could find some peace in our nation! See? It’s all good.
Some are wondering why President Obama didn’t use his diplomatic approach when England’s Prime Minister Gordon Brown came to DC recently and why he only got Brown aDVD set as a gift. This is easy to explain. After 8 years of George Bush, all that’s left in the budget after all the bills have been paid…is not a whole hell of a lot! Yeah, yeah, and it doesn’t help your energy level when you’ve got the American Taliban at the back of your neck all day every day, because they are in constant need of attention. I’m telling you….I remember the days when my son was a little boy and would constantly say to me, “Mom, Mommy, Momma, Momma, Mommy, Momma, Ma”. It wears on ya man! I can see why President Obama only had enough energy to pull up to a Wal-Mart and get a DVD set as a gift as his Hello Prime Minister Gift!
We know damn well had President Obama bought Brown an uber expensive gift the American Taliban would have formed an armed militia to take back the country, shouting, “We’re in the Great Depression II and you’re spending money on expensive gifts for a man we know is already our friend! For gawd’s sake! Let’s stop the spending madness once and for all! And don’t you dare use Air Force One again like you’re the president of America or something!”.
See?
Tooooooooooooo many Talibans to have to deal with, but something tells me President Obama will have a much better time dealing with the Taliban in Afghanistan than he ever would trying to get through the cannonball heads of the American Taliban members.

Spits of rage…
