QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” ~ John F. Jon Stewart of the Daily Show gives his own “Rick Santelli” rant but with facts!

(hat tip to Attaturk of FireDogLake for providing this video today!)

Tea Party anyone? Bah hahahahahaha! And let’s not forget, George Bush was the president of the United States until January 20, 2009 at noontime. Bah hahahahahahahaha!

Awwww, poor Rick Santelli of CNBC. He’s terrified of President Obama’s press secretary, Robert Gibbs!

Could Rick Santelli, Mr. Hedgefund Manager/Stock Broker, be any more pathetic than the rant he showed us the other day on CNBC calling Americans ‘losers’ for not paying their mortgages? Why yes! Yes he can!

He’s now saying President Obama’s press secretary, Robert Gibbs, has threatened his life and his children’s. Here’s the exchange between Santelli and that ‘pure as the driven snow’, G. Gordon Liddy on Liddy’s show:

SANTELLI: He started that press conference saying, “I don’t know where he lives, I don’t know where his house is.” This is the Press Secretary of the White House. Is that the kind of thing we want? Is that —

LIDDY: It’s a veiled threat.

SANTELLI: It really is. […] I don’t really want to be a spokesman, but I really am very proud of a) the response I’m getting, which is overwhelmingly positive, and b) discourse, that is debate. That if the pressure and the heat I’m taking from the White House – the fact my kids are nervous to go to school – I can take that, okay.

(THINK PROGRESS has the audio of the exchange between these two morons) As noted in Think Progress’ post, Santelli also went on Mike Gallagher’s show to promote the same fear…..that Robert Gibbs wants he and his children dead!

Here’s what Robert Gibbs actually said:

Q – there really does appear to be some anger out there from people who just don’t believe the President when he said that only people who acted responsibly are going to be helped here. How can you assure people that you’re going to reward only people, only homeowners who acted responsibly?

MR. GIBBS: Well, let’s go through this, because I do think this is very important. And I’ve watched Mr. Santelli on cable the past 24 hours or so. I’m not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives, or in what house he lives, but the American people are struggling every day to meet their mortgage, stay in their job, pay their bills, to send their kids to school, and to hope that they don’t get sick or that somebody they care for gets sick and sends them into bankruptcy.

[]

And Mr. Santelli might also know that if you live in a home that’s near one that’s been foreclosed, your home value has likely dropped about 9 percent, which for the average home is about $20,000.

Now, every day when I come out here, I spend a little time reading, studying on the issues, asking people who are smarter than I am questions about those issues. I would encourage him to read the President’s plan and understand that it will help millions of people, many of whom he knows. I’d be more than happy to have him come here and read it. I’d be happy to buy him a cup of coffee — decaf. (Laughter.)

Tell me where in there Gibbs is threatening the life of Santelli please! You can’t, because what Gibbs is saying to Santelli is for him to put himself in the shoes (or the house!) of these Americans to feel what it’s like for them.

We are witnessing the slow death of the American Taliban (the GOP/Corporate America/the Thieves). It’s beautiful how far they’re reaching to make themselves feel better about what they’ve done to our country in 8 short years!

Rick Santelli the hedgefund manager, stock broker thinks Americans are losers for not paying their mortgages

What a fucking asshole Rick Santelli is! Here’s the lovely little rant Mr. Hedgefund Manager/Stock Broker Santelli did today for CNBC viewers:

Where the hell was Rick Santelli when the housing market started crashing in 2005 (though some analysts are now saying the housing bubble started crashing as early as 2002)? Huh? Where the fuck was he! And what about all the Americans who had great paying jobs, were stable, and then they lost their job and could no longer pay their mortgage, nor could they come up with the money to pay their winter heating bills which caused more financial hardship, and weren’t able to sell their home, but then had to go into foreclosure, huh? Where the hell was the Hedgefund Fucker then!!!!

Oh that’s right! Ole Mr. Hedgefund Asshole was fine with the Shadow Economy that rewarded guys like Santelli when they were making bets that Americans weren’t going to pay their mortgages or loans! Yeah, yeah, I give you Exhibit A for your pleasure (click to enlarge) which was the beginning of the end of a normal economy….

WALL STREET BANKED ON A FAILED ECONOMY BECAUSE FAILURE WAS REWARDED TIME AND AGAIN! DO WE SEE SANTELLI SCREECHING ABOUT THE BILLIONS GOING TO THE CEO’S OF THESE FAILED BANKS/COMPANIES? Nope!

As I watch the video of Rick Santelli, I see a man who represents the uber wealthy/greedy in this country who would rather spend money bailing out the banks (who caused the problem in the first place, because even without regulation, they decided to not self-regulate and honestly could have stopped the madness had they wanted to!) rather than the Americans infected by these assholes! Had the banks said, “Ummmmm, sorry, but we can’t loan you money right now because your credit sucks, you don’t have a down payment, and your income is not enough for you to afford the home you want”, our nation wouldn’t be in the position it is! Oh, but that didn’t happen because we had George Bush saying, “Get your house any way you can! We are an ownership society!”. That said…

There are some Americans who should have known that they were too poor to own a home, but I bet if we were to put a microscope on the mortgages taken out from 2001 to 2008, we would find out that most of the mortgages were given to the middle class and the rich! Yep, we had couples going to a mortgage company with shoddy credit (credit cards maxed out I’m sure!), but because they had a combined income of $80,000/year, they got any mortgage they wanted, even though they couldn’t afford it.

And don’t even get me started on the home appraisers of this country who decided to put a price tag of $500,000 for a 2 bedroom/1 bath shack either! We now have a housing market that is worth half of what it was a year ago and none of those homeowners are able to sell their home to get out from under it without taking a huge loss.

There is lots of blame to go around, of course, but what pisses me off is Santelli is one of those assholes who keeps blaming the poor in this country for the downturn of our economy, when it’s guys like him who have made MILLIONS BY SUCKING OFF THE SHADOW ECONOMY TIT and can’t understand why our nation has spun out of control! They’re the ones who are to blame and who are the losers.

Assholes. I’m so sick of them. Could someone please round up the greedy fuckers of our nation and shove some tea bags up their asses so they can have a party as Santelli suggests in his little rant? Thank you!

What is happening today in the stock market and in our economy was already underway under George Bush, you know, the president who didn’t do a damn thing to plug the hole in the ship. Had his neocons in the House & Senate in 2005 passed laws to regulate the banking industry, our economy may very well be a ton better today. Instead, we have President Obama who is being blamed by the greedy wingers like Santelli for trying to make right with the American people, which tells me that Wall Street and the companies associated with it don’t give a flying rats ass about this country. At all.

Santelli is the loser. And a maggot. The End.
