QUOTE OF THE DAY:

GLENN BECK AT CPAC 2010: ‘Hello, my name is the Republican Party, and I’ve got a problem. I’m addicted to spending and big government…I’m addicted to spending and I just don’t want to spend today.’ (CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO QUOTE)

"If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” ~ John F. Kennedy, 1960

Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei asks, “How one can rig 11 million votes?”

Geeeeeee, how can one rig 11 million votes in favor of the guy who the Iranian people don’t want? Well Ayatollah, all that needs to be done is one person in charge of announcing the winner after looking at the vote counts, seeing that Ahmadinejad lost by 11 million votes, is not the actual winner, and then this person deciding to announce to the people, “Ahmadinejad is the winner!”. See? It’s very simple. This election reminds me of Ned Lamont & Joe Lieberman’s 2006 race where at one point in the voting Ned Lamont received the EXACT same amount of votes that one of Joe’s former opponents did in a previous race Joe was in! Yeah, yeah, it’s good to have friends in high places if you wanted to win your race when you clearly didn’t win it. It was as if Connecticut’s Secretary of State wanted Joe Lieberman to keep his seat for Israel so he said, “Screw it! I’m just going to announce that you won Joe even though you clearly didn’t, because the people of Connecticut wanted change and we don’t want that, right Joe?!”. Spit.

So Ayatollah, it’s very easy to “steal” or “rig” 11 million votes when you have people in power who decide the winner before the votes have been tallied, and even after they’re tallied and they see that Ahmadinejad clearly was the loser in the race…..they’ll just announce him as the winner anyway!

I have a feeling if the Ayatollah’s decision to announce Ahmadinejad as the winner today will result in the Iranian youth continuing their quest for change. It’s going to be a wild ride. We, as Americans, must stop demonizing the Iranians. It’s not them that is the problem…..it’s their leaders.

The Iranian soccer team in Seoul, Korea shows their support for Mir Hossein Mousavi in their own special way

Some of the Iranian soccer team wore green wrist bands during their game against Seoul at the Seoul World Cup Stadium knowing full well that the game was going to be televised….

(you can see more pictures of the Iranian soccer team and other young supporters of Mousavi at the Associated Press by CLICKING HERE)

Young Iranians have witnessed a whole generation die due to war and other travesties, so it’s so amazing me to see them standing up against their current government knowing they could be putting their own life in jeopardy. Pretty damn brave if you ask me! I mean, really, is there a threat against their life now once they get back home after wearing these wrist bands? I don’t know, but if they think there is, this just shows you how they’re willing to die to change their country for the better.

Gives me goosebumps.

When I look at this picture of the Iranian soccer team, I immediately think this could be an American soccer team based solely on how they look. We’re not different really. There are those who have made us think we’re different to keep the decades of fear going. But today is a new day! President Obama’s campaign last year and his presidency has opened a lot of hearts and minds  in our country and throughout the world, and nothing would make me happier than to find out that his speech in Cairo, Egypt a few weeks back was absorbed to the core of the youth of the Middle East and they’re taking action. We, ourselves, understand their excitement!

Mousavi may not be perfect but he’s more forward thinking and open to new ideas which will be great for Iran. The Iranian youth sees him as a catalyst for change and as a glimmer of hope in their own destiny. Wonderful. Again, gives me goosebumps for these Iranian “kids”. Of course….

Rush Limbaugh thinks that President Obama isn’t meddling enough in the Iranian election (he said this today on his radio show). Not meddling enough? For crying out loud, right now is not the time to be interferring! We are seeing a rebirth of a people at the moment in Iran and that means we must all sit out in the waiting room until the doctor lets us know if we’ve had a boy or a girl! We can’t rush this, Dumbass, and the worst thing President Obama could do right now is to grab the foreceps, push the doctor out of the way, and then pull the baby out, because it could hurt the baby or the mother for crying out loud! Jees. Idiot.

I’m waiting patiently for the announcement. Until then, isn’t it nice to know that the Iranian youth has a voice at the moment? Must feel good to them after all these years. ;-)
