John McCain is a piece of shit. For him to say just a few years ago that if the military leaders approached him and told him it’s time to repeal Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell, he would gladly work to do it. Fast forward to today and we see John McCain in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing with the military leaders who tell him it’s time to repeal this awful piece of crap, and what does he do? He doesn’t listen to them! He decides instead to spew the right wing fringe rhetoric that gay soldiers put our nation at risk.
My father was a tank Sargent in the U.S. Army in the late 50’s, early 60’s. To this day he speaks lovingly (seriously! He does!) of his soldiers and likes to compare them to the characters on Welcome Back Kotter, meaning, they came from all different walks of life and there were a couple of “Horseshacks”, you know, a few soldiers who might have been gay or not, but it didn’t matter to anyone, because as soldiers they’re there for each other and worrying about something as stupid as that is not what makes a good soldier! He’s been friends with some of these soldiers for over 50 years now!
Dad grew up extremely poor in Portland, Maine (the house he lived in as a child is now a big parking lot on the corner of Congress & Franklin Streets!) and besides his sister Nellie (my Aunt Nell whom I’ve talked about before on my blog! Love her!) being 10 years older than him and making sure my father got what he needed throughout his childhood, his Uncle Wayne was also the person who made the biggest impact in his life! Uncle Wayne was gay. He was openly gay too and no one in the family cared one iota. Wayne was the male figure in my Dad’s life for years, because my Nana and Grampy were alcoholics who weren’t always there for him, and when Uncle Wayne died a few years ago all my father could talk about is how wonderful this man was to him.
My Dad was and is a great soldier and man while John McCain is a horrible soldier and person. He’s self-centered, unappreciative, a sucky soldier, and downright wrong about the gays and lesbians who have always been in our military doing a fine job and who still are! McCain is a piece of shit. The End. I would say that maybe it’s time for him to listen to his daughter and wife about being a better person, but now that he’s aligned himself with the right wing religious fringe in our country and being fed by them, he most likely hates women too and won’t listen. What an ass!

Geeeeeee, now this is a little interesting isn’t it? So far, George Bush’s people haven’t responded to this yet. Wonder why they haven’t? My first thought was the Nazis gave the Rothschild artwork they stole to Preston Bush who brought it back to America after he had his fun funding the Nazis. Once home, he gave the artworks before he died to his son George H.W. Bush who in turn donated the stolen artwork to SMU (endowed by oilman Algur Hurtle Meadows) with the hopes someday his son George W. Bush would be president and could have his presidential library there!

No wonder George W. didn’t call for an investigation into the September 2008 run on the banks where a half trillion dollars was taken out of the money markets in an hour and a half. Why didn’t he? Well, if we all remember correctly Lynn de Forrester Rothschild was bullshit that Hillary Clinton was out of the presidential race and Barack Obama was in. She then took her anger to the airwaves and said out loud that she would be voting for John McCain in retaliation. Yep, and then just like the Rothschild’s involvement in the first Great Depression the next thing we know there is almost a trillion dollars stolen in less than 2 hours which causes George Bush to come out and say, “We’re gonna bailout the banks now! How bout that Federal Reserve that the Rothschilds invest in? We love them all! Thank you and good night!’.

I thought they hated the idea of single payer, the public option, or doing anything nice to help those individuals who need it? Huh. Oh wait! George is a white republican. Nevermind. The End.
I’m taking a little mini-vacation this weekend as you can tell. I had a paid day off on Friday (thank you Friday customer!) and have been in vacation mode ever since. My son and I were going to go tent camping for the weekend, but decided not to. Instead, we used the good weather to get some much needed work done around the house. Got a ton done! The garage is now organized (huge project that I wanted to get done before school started)! Went to the Norway Arts Festival yesterday and helped with our county Democrats booth. Our focus was on Obama’s health care plan and the public option. It was a great day and lots of people who came to our booth pointed out how the right wingers of America are lying profusely about Obama because they have nothing to use against him. If you’re confused over health care you can thank a neocon! So, if you think Americans are not paying attention and you think the right wingers are gaining traction in the polls, think again. They’re not. Americans smartened their asses up under the 8 years of George Bush and they still don’t trust what the wingers have to say. Good times.

The Teabaggers are the same people who supported John McCain & Sarah Palin in the last election and who are the dividers, the haters, the liars, and who are just plain racist to their core. I knew it. I’ve said for years that if American troops were to leave Iraq, the Iraqis would step aside and let them go without interfering. Of course, the right wing neocons of America said that would never happen! They told us that Iraq would crumble into a heap of dung and would be lost without us, because the Iraqis loved having Americans in their country occupying it!

If you ask a republican if they think President Obama is doing a good job dealing with the uprising in Iran (which appears to be over today according to Richard Engel this morning on the Morning Joe), they’ll say, “No way! He’s not talked about it, he’s not using an iron fist, and he obviously doesn’t care about anyone but himself!”.

Those of us who listen to President Obama without our fingers in our ears knows that none of what the republicans are saying is true and what is true is….HE’S BEEN USING DIPLOMACY RIGHT FROM THE START! Yeah, yeah, and has acknowledged that the Iranians are expressing their freedoms and he has condemned the Mullah’s crackdown right from the start! Rachel Maddow explains further…
By the way, John McCain was asked which side he thought President Obama was on and McCain didn’t know the answer to the question. Oh wait! Johnny McCrazy also bangs rocks together and screams at trees in the park! Nevermind. John McCain (and the rest of the right wing knuckle draggers I may add!) wants President Obama to start threatening Iran, so he (and they!) can say, “See? Obama is dangerous for our country and the world! Look at how many people are dying in Iran because of him and his big bad meanie cowboy stance!!! He’s overseeing his own personal genocide for crying out loud while thousands are dying!!!!! Gawd help us!”.
By the way…have you noticed how the right wingers think that if they use what us liberals said about George Bush towards President Obama it will work, stick, and people will believe that the republicans have the power now? I cringe at the thought of these two in the White House right now. Can you imagine what they would be saying to the Iranian people or the Mullahs? Again, cringe-worthy! Instead of remaining neutral, I can see Sarah Palin telling her supporters that if the Iranian “monkeys” (how she would describe them because their skin is darker than a lightbuld) don’t get back to work she is going to fire them all or she’ll send Johnny in there with his big bad guns! And John McCain would be standing next to her stating that the US was ready to launch nukes at Iran within the next 20 minutes if the Mullahs made one false move. Oh gawd.

President Obama is handling the situation perfectly by…not….getting involved and remaining neutral. Even McCain supporter Henry Kissinger is now saying President Obama is handling this well and if President Obama was to say the wrong thing, Ahmedinejad and the Mullahs could use it against him and our country. We all know Sarah Palin and John McCain would have said the wrong thing by now! I’m so glad Obama is in the White House. Aren’t you?
It’s Memorial Day 2009 and we have a new President in the White House. We still have soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, but at least President Obama has stated his goal of getting our soldiers home by the end of 2011. Had our country elected McCain & Palin to the White House last year, these two never would have set up some type of time-line to get our soldiers home and they would have by now duped our nation into another unjust war.

By the way, John McCain will be hosting AMC war movies during the day today. Wha? No scheduled parades to attend as Senator of Arizona? Huh. No word yet on what Sarah Palin will be doing for Memorial Day, but she does have a book to write….er I mean….she has to find time to oversee the person who is writing her memoirs for her. I suppose when you need to lie about and spruce up your life for a book to make yourself feel better and because you’ve got your eyes set on the presidential 2012 election…you truly need outside sources to do it for ya, otherwise, you could let many cats out of the bag that you don’t want to!
What are your plans today? Going to a parade? Putting flowers on the gravestones of loved ones? I’m working, of course. I usually do, because as a single Mom….I have to. On Friday I was listening to the Howie Carr show out of Boston and quite a few of his listeners had to work Saturday, Sunday, and Memorial Day, so really, I’m not the only one having to work today.
