Well, isn’t that just great. We go from Sen. Ted Kennedy (Camelot) to Scott Brown the Messiah (CamelScott)! If you hadn’t heard, CamelScott was sworn in as the next Senator from Massachusetts tonight after arriving in a Cadillac Escalade after flying to Washington, DC from Boston. The truck has now been ditched! I knew the Messiah would change once he was sworn in. CamelScott did tell right winger Howie Carr of WRKO Radio in Boston recently that he will most likely fly back to Boston many times a week to be with his family. Wha? Not gonna move the family into the C Street House so they can all be together to pray while Daddy cheats on Mommy? Hey, it’s where the ‘cool’ republicans live!
He’s right and before you go making fun of Joe’s “illogical” statement, let’s not forget it’s Sarah Palin and other republicans who are saying we need to stop paying the government to increase revenue! Yeah, yeah…receiving less money means it’ll be easier to pay the bills! Spit.

So which statement is right? Does it make sense for our government to continue to receive less tax revenue to fund it or does it make sense to spend more of the stimulus money on the streets to create jobs, which in turn, will create more tax revenue to our government? You decide. I’m going with Joe Biden’s way of thinking because the old business adage of ‘we have to spend money to make money’ is the only way to get our nation out of debt. Creating jobs, reducing the cost of healthcare/insurance, reducing spending (such as NASA!), and taxing the higher tier has always worked!

Ronald Reagan spent, taxed, and never reduced spending. Same with George H.W. Bush when he was president…and he even tried starting a war in Iraq at the end too in the hopes to jump start the economy (we were in recession under him and Reagan) and to help himself get reelected. During these two presidencies, our nation did not fail. We were already trillions in debt thanks to the Reagan years. Then came Bill Clinton who raised taxes, spent, reduced spending in some areas, but the key to turning the economy around under him was in creating jobs which he did to the tune of 22 million. Our nation had a surplus after the Clinton years and then George Bush came along. George Bush didn’t tax the rich, he spent like a drunken sailor on two wars and for the uber wealthy, he didn’t reduce spending, he increased the size of government, he ignored the signs the banking/housing industry was collapsing, and after 8 years of doing this, our economy is failing. We now have President Obama in office who wants to do what Clinton, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush did which is tax those who can afford it, spend money wisely to create jobs, reduce spending over time, and regulate the banking industry where needed to close the loopholes that are damaging progress.
The next time you hear someone say, “The only way to increase the size of my bank account is to reduce my pay!”, you tell them they’re stupid.
There is good spending and bad spending. Good spending would be in creating jobs. Bad spending would be borrowing trillions from China for two wars and to help America’s wealthy not pay their fair share of the taxes and then telling the rest of America to screw off. The End.
Glenn Beck this morning started his radio show out with making fun of Vice President Joe Biden for “revealing” the secret “undisclosed” location of Dick Cheney’s bunker to run to in case of a nuclear attack. Well, doofus….many of us have known for quite some time that the VP’s NEW BUNKER was under the VP’s residence!
Here’s what was reported back in 2002 by the neighbors, the Secret Service, the Navy etc….

Dick Cheney is getting a nuclear bunker. Or a spy tunnel. Or a helicopter landing pad. Or maybe nothing at all.
Rumours are rife in Washington about the nature of building work being carried out at the Naval Observatory, which includes the official residence of the vice-president of the United States.
But though regular blasts and construction traffic show that something is going on at 1 Observatory Circle, no-one will say what it is.
Neighbours upset by the noise were sent a letter from the observatory’s superintendent which said: “Due to its sensitive nature in support of national security and homeland defence, project specific information is classified and cannot be released.”
The letter went on to say that the work was urgent and needed to be done “on a highly accelerated schedule”.
A spokeswoman for the US Navy told BBC News Online that the work was “an infrastructure and utility upgrade”.
The neighbors knew what was going on and even the Secret Service told the neighbors back then (Glenn Beck reiterated this point on his show this morning) that the construction at the VP’s home was for “national security purposes”! Geee….loud construction can be heard by the neighbors. And…
To top it all off, we’ve also known for years that Dick Cheney’s VP home was not ALLOWED TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED FOR GOOGLE EARTH…

Okay, onto Joe Biden’s remark about the swine flu. Here’s what he said yesterday being the honest man he is:
“I would tell members of my family — and I have — I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now. It’s not that it’s going to Mexico in a confined aircraft where one person sneezes, that goes all the way through the aircraft…That’s me…I would not be, at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway…From my perspective, this relates to mitigation. If you’re out in the middle of the field and someone sneezes, that’s one thing. If you’re in a closed aircraft, a closed container, a closed car, a closed classroom, that’s another thing.”
Gee, isn’t this the kind of thing you’d say to your family if you thought the flu was an international killer? I mean, really, who right now is saying, “Say Little Johnnie, how about going to Mexico City for the weekend? A cramped plane is exactly where you need to be!” or who is saying, “Don’t wash your hands, don’t sneeze into your elbow, and by all means, please please please…..if you’re sick and throwing up, please don’t feel like you can’t take the subway into work! You’ll never spread the flu that way at all! I say go to work!”?

Remember in the summer of 2001 when John Ashcroft stopped flying on commercial airlines and when this got out and he was asked by the MSM why he did this, he refused to say why? And then a few months later….four hijacked planes started doing circles in the sky and were used as missiles (their plan went uninterrupted too, but that’s another post!) and 3,000 Americans died?
Don’t you think it would have been nice for Ashcroft back then to have said to the American people, “I’m glad you asked that. We have been getting warnings through our intelligence community that commercial airplanes could be used in a terror attack against America, so I am taking precautions….BUT!….if you have to fly commercially due to your job or whatnot, I would ask the American people to be aware of their surroundings in an airport or on an airplane. If you see anyone acting suspicious or you encounter a situation on an airplane, I would say to the American people…..do what you have to do to protect yourself”. Or something close to that? I mean, really, Ashcroft refused to tell the truth to the American people and the next thing we know….3,000 Americans were dead!
At least Biden is talking like the rest of the country that cares about itself. Jees.

The CIA briefs Attorney General Ashcroft on the al-Qaeda threat. Several senior CIA Counterterrorist Center officials warn him that a significant attack is imminent, preparations for multiple attacks are in the late stages or already complete, and that little additional warning can be expected. He is told the attack is more likely to occur overseas than in the US. He was also briefed by the CIA on the al-Qaeda threat on May 15, 2001. [9/11 Commission, 7/24/2004, pp. 258-259, 534; Tenet, 2007, pp. 150] CIA Director Tenet will later claim in a book that at the end of the briefing, Ashcroft turned to some FBI personnel and asked them, “Why are they telling me this? Why am I not hearing this from you?” [Tenet, 2007, pp. 150] One week later, the FBI will brief him about the al-Qaeada threat in the US and he will reportedly reply, “I do not want to hear about this anymore” (see July 12, 2001). By the end of July, he will stop flying commercial aircraft in the US (see July 26, 2001).
Ashcroft had an attitude of “terrorism smerrorism”, because he and the rest of the war criminals in the Bush Regime were focused ONLY ON IRAQ & SADDAM HUSSEIN. They didn’t care about much else.

I will be balling my eyes out for the next two days because I am so proud of my country. What a moment we are witnessing. While others have been jumping all over Barack Obama since the election and being hateful, I’ve been reveling in our country’s historic moment, because I know Barack & Joe…have given the evil that has lived in the White House for the last 8 years….the heave-ho! Don’t you feel it? The natural light coming back over our country where a dark cloud hung for years? I do. Barack & Joe have their work cut out of them, but something tells me they will succeed at some point in turning things around for the better.
How lucky our country is! One man has affected a whole planet. The next time someone tells you that one thing/person can’t affect change….tell them they’re wrong. We’ve witnessed it for crying out loud! And we haven’t forgotten about the other man, Joe Biden, who through his inner fire, patriotism, energy, and determination, has made us so freaking proud! What a voice the working people (and women!) of America have in Joe!
On Monday, I’ll be attending the second thank you party of the weekend for the Democratic volunteers in my area. We all worked our asses off last year in getting Barack Obama & Joe Biden elected to office, as well as, making sure our local candidates got re-elected or elected for the first time to their selected positions. And we did great! “We’re fired up and ready to go!” was our mantra. Nothing like a bunch of positive light to keep us going! Thank you Democrats (and Independents and rational republicans!) in my state and across this great nation who worked for a New Day! We all deserve a big ‘thank you’. In honor of Martin Luther King, we will also be collecting non-perishable items for the poor & needy in our area too. Well, of course we will, because as we all know….Democrats work for the common good while the other party works to destroy it.

What Barack was trying to say is he had talked with all the past presidents who are still alive and had not done the ‘Nancy Reagan thing’ of doing a seance to speak with Ronald Reagan who is no longer with us. I chuckled when he said it, but the wingers online went batshit crazy as usual.

What was the comment? One of the Freepers said Barack’s ears look like airport runway taxi. LOL! I thought to myself, “Ah ha! That’s why I love him! He’s got those funny looking ears like Dennis Kucinich!”. See?
And I also love Barack’s smile and his giggle. It’s the best. We Americans are lucky to have him in our lives. After 8 years of absolute hell watching a lying stinking recovery alcoholic Frat boy from hell, it’s so nice to see a genuine good man, whose loved by his wife and daughters, and who has the passion, the fortitude, and the charisma to catapult our nation back on track! Barack may not be perfect….but he’s perfect to us!
