What a great time I had yesterday! Of course, there were a few who opposed Obama’s plan and I spent a considerable amount of time arguing with them. Shouting at them actually. Bunch of braindead Bush/PalinBots! Buses from all over the state brought Mainers to this rally, but if you ask the Bots, they’ll tell you we all were from out of state. Oh please! At the beginning of the rally before we marched through Portland, each county in Maine was asked to cheer their representation by the MC. ALL COUNTIES WERE REPRESENTED THERE and not once did I see a bus with out of state plates pull up and drop people off. Idiots. The right wingers will say anything to make themselves feel better! They’re in the minority for a reason. We Americans are sick of the obstructionists. The End.

Lots of people on the sidewalks watching and cheering us on. At one point a woman and her girls joined us in our march even though they were in Portland from out of state to do some shopping! What a wonderful moment for me to see them join us. Here they are (right side of the photo wearing a teal blue & hot pink sweatshirt)…

What a great day! Our voices were heard because at the end of the rally it was announced that Sen. Olympia Snowe (apparently because of the turnout yesterday) is for the public option now! She had been open to it, and if it is true that Snowe changed her mind because of the rally, then I say, KUDOS MAINERS! A job well done. 
Of course, Sen. Susan Collins’ office was not represented there yesterday. Why? Because just like Sarah Palin, Collins was too busy licking her finger and putting it in the political winds while having her fingers in her ears and her hands over her eyes to notice or hear anything!
