QUOTE OF THE DAY:

GLENN BECK AT CPAC 2010: ‘Hello, my name is the Republican Party, and I’ve got a problem. I’m addicted to spending and big government…I’m addicted to spending and I just don’t want to spend today.’ (CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO QUOTE)

"If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” ~ John F. Kennedy, 1960

Why is President Obama refusing Americans & the world to see the GITMO abuse photos again? Because THERE’S RAPE ON THEM!

Yes, that’s right. There are scenes of people in American custody down in GITMO/ABU GRAIB being raped and this is why President Obama doesn’t want these abuse photos to be shown publicly. Huh. I guess I wasn’t too far off when I DID THIS POST STATING THAT THERE COULD VERY WELL BE PHOTOS OF YOUNG IRAQI BOYS BEING RAPED IN FRONT OF THEIR MOTHERS! Spit.

Oh wait! The republican party believes that NOTHING CONSTITUTES TORTURE….not even waterboarding, so rape is just one more thing this party adheres itself to like Dick Cheney says….torture is an American value. Yep, we just love it. Raping children, torturing adults, waterboarding one person 83 times is what we value as a country. It’s what keeps us safe at night. Oh yeah, and those 4,000 dead American soldiers over in Iraq who died fighting in an occupation that was started on lies, propaganda, deceits, manipulations, and forged documents? We love that too! Oh yes, we as a nation just adore death and destruction. See? Spit.

I’m spitting mad at what the Bush Regime allowed and did in our country’s name.

Rape is not a schoolyard prank anymore to you neocons? Oh that’s right! It’s an American value according to you lawbreaking warmongering hateful imbeciles!…

WHAT DO YOU NEOCONS HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR PARTY? Explain to us why torturing (which includes the act of rape assholes!) makes us safe again. Explain why rape is not torture too. Idiots. I bet you want the photos to be released so you can masturbate to them, huh? PIGS.

Senator Patrick Leahy to hold hearing today to establish a Truth Commission for the Bush Era abuses

Hey, what’s that sound? Oops. Nevermind. It’s just George Bush & Dick Cheney farting when they heard the news Sen. Patrick Leahy will be holding a hearing today to establish a Truth Commission of their abuses of power and other lovely crimes.

From the Washington Post:

Word that more documents are to be released comes as Senate Democrats prepare to hold a hearing today on a proposal by Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) to establish a “truth commission” to get to the bottom of contentious Bush-era national security practices. Leahy has called the Office of Legal Counsel under Bush a “rubber stamp for some of the administration’s worst abuses of power.”

Two other members of the committee, Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), have demanded that Justice Department leaders produce a report prepared by internal ethics watchdogs on the work of three former OLC lawyers including Yoo. The inquiry, which has been underway for more than 4 1/2 years, focuses on whether Yoo and former OLC chief Jay S. Bybee violated professional standards in preparing the national security opinions. The review also examined the work of another former OLC chief, Steven G. Bradbury, but did not make disciplinary recommendations about him, a former Bush lawyer said.

The Department of Justice (as promised by President Obama that transparency will be the keystone to his presidency!) is now releasing documents that the Bush Regime refused to allow the American people to look at for years. Some of them are fascinating. (CLICK HERE TO TAKE A GANDER). Keith Olbermann of Countdown talked about these memos and what they contained:

Basically, George Bush gave himself permission through his underlings to bomb American homes if he thought you were a terrorist without a stitch of evidence proving it! Yeah, yeah, kind of like what he did in Iraq for 5 years and what he ordered to be done over the Afghanistan border into Pakistan (and those attacks are still happening). You can read John Yoo’s memo HERE.

I don’t know about you, but nothing would stimulate the nation’s economy than holding the Bush Pigs accountable for their abuses, corruption, and war crimes!

Keep the documents coming! We look forward to the next batch. Thank you President Obama for shining some sunlight on the darkness of the Bush Regime! After 8 years of their bullshit, we are so thrilled you are in the White House!

Dick Cheney admits he’s a war criminal just in time for Christmas!

(US Senator Susan Collins and Dick Cheney sharing a moment together)

Awwwwww, isn’t that nice. Dick Cheney has decided to come clean about how he knew torture was “the program”, about how he was fine with “the program”, and had no problem supporting “the program” to it’s fullest extent! Yeah, yeah, Dick Cheney is talking about torture as if it’s legal and something all democracies on the planet participate in and it’s not a ‘pesky’ war crime like the rest of us know that it is. Spit.

From Keith Olbermann’s Countdown:

Makes you wonder why Dick Cheney has admitted to this now. Is he maybe fearing that charges will be brought against him when he’s out of office and is just covering his ass now? Maybe Cheney is figuring if he admits to his crimes now and the House & Senate do nothing, he can argue in the years to come if charges are brought….that nothing was done years ago, so therefore, he is not guilty? Could be. Or does he know like the rest of us do, that George Bush is leaving the biggest shit pile in the history of presidential transfers to Barack Obama and knows that the Obama Administration ain’t gonna have time to arrest, try, and hang these right wing fascist bastard war criminals? I don’t know, but the fact that he and George Bush are trying to rewrite their own history as they leave office, just goes to show ya how many criminals acts they participated in and orchestrated! Assholes.

Gov. Don Siegleman is a free man now, so where will Karl Rove retire to?

Karl Rove has had his pasty white feminine fingers into every illegal act committed by the Bush Regime over the last eight years, so it wasn’t surprising upon Alabama Gov. Don Siegleman’s release from prison that Karl Rove’s name was mentioned by everyone right off the bat:

Yep. Karl Rove….once again is mentioned as the man behind the scenes who wouldn’t pass up on a ‘conspiracy meeting’ if his life depended on it!

According to Simpson’s statement, William Canary, a senior G.O.P. political operative and Riley adviser who was on the conference call, said “not to worry about Don Siegelman” because “‘his girls’ would take care of” the governor. Canary then made clear that “his girls” was a reference to his wife, Leura Canary, the U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Alabama, and Alice Martin, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Alabama.
>
Canary reassured others on the conference call — who also included Riley’s son, Rob, and Terry Butts, another Riley lawyer and former justice of the Alabama supreme court — that he had the help of a powerful pal in Washington. Canary said “not to worry — that he had already gotten it worked out with Karl and Karl had spoken with the Department of Justice and the Department of Justice was already pursuing Don Siegelman,” the Simpson affidavit says. Both U.S. attorney offices subsequently indicted Siegelman on a variety of charges, although Leura Canary recused herself from dealing with the case in May 2002. A federal judge dismissed the Northern District case before it could be tried, but Siegelman was convicted in the Middle District on bribery and conspiracy charges last June.

Rove has always been the ugliness that has reared it’s ugly head. So where will Karl Rove be retiring to? Will it be here…

(pic)

Oh please, please, please let it be a jail cell Karl Rove gets to retire in for the rest of his life! If he ends up retiring HERE in his new $1 million Florida home, I will scream. He doesn’t deserve to be here. Though, it wouldn’t surprise me if he becomes a fugitive from justice by joining Neil Bush, George Bush, The Moonies, and other cultist America-Haters in Paraguay!

(Neil Bush, Hyun Jim Moon meeting with Paraguay president in February 2008/Getty Image)

Hey, isn’t Paraguay the country all war criminals flee to when they’re a fugitive from justice and where the whackos go to make their deals? I think so. One good thing is, however, at least all the criminals will be in one place to make it easier for the next Democratic president of the United States to find them all! See? There’s always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Sometimes you just have to open your mind up to find it. :-)

Back to Rove…

I’m sure Mukasey will make sure no investigation will happen at this point. He’ll do everything in his power to SHUT ONE DOWN. Why? Because criminals protect criminals and they’d rather investigate themselves so they can exclaim publicly, “We did nothing wrong! Look over there! A birdie! Nice birdie! Pretty birdie! Everyone looking at the birdie?!!!”. Pure and simple. Why would they take down one of their own when they could make up shit and conspire against a Democrat instead for political reasons to make themselves feel better? Spit.

I hope Karl Rove spends the rest of his days in a 12X8 jail cell to think about what he’s done! That would be nice. I would truly enjoy the rest of my life knowing he’s dragging a tin cup across the bars. Even better would be George Bush & Dick Cheney in cells across from him! Hell, throw all the bastards in there…even the ones who retired to spend more time with their families! Spit.

60 Minutes this Sunday will be serving Karl Rove for dinner

(Image found on Google through www.about.com)

This should be interesting. Of course, Karl Rove refused to be interviewed by 60 Minutes and you know what that means…..60 Minutes is onto something! Yep. Americans will be having Karl Rove for dinner this Sunday and for the first time in a long time, I’m going to bring out the good china.

From the Washington Post (an excerpt of the 60 Minutes video they’ll be airing):

Here’s a preview from CBS News:
>
“‘Karl Rove asked you to take pictures of Siegelman?’ asks [reporter Scott] Pelley.
>
“‘Yes,’ replies Simpson.
>
“‘In a compromising, sexual position with one of his aides,’ clarifies Pelley.
>
“‘Yes, if I could,’ says Simpson.

(CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO OF THIS COURTESY OF CBS NEWS)

I think it’s safe to say that a good portion of Americans would like to see AT LEAST ONE BUSH REGIME MEMBER in shackle and chains and off to prison, no? I’d be happy with it being Karl Rove at this point.

Mukasey is in as Attorney General of the United States

(CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW YOUR SENATOR VOTED)

(MSNBC photo found on Google Images)

He’s in. I’m not sure how I feel about this guy. On the one hand he will not say out loud that waterboarding is torture and that America should never use this torture technique or torture at all, but then again, when Mukasey was being interviewed for this position, Bob Gates did say this:

“It’s not a permitted technique in the army field manual and therefore no member of the US military is allowed to do it,” Gates told reporters, referring to the practice that has sparked controversy over the legality of interrogation methods.

“From the military standpoint, I wouldn’t expect military personnel to be involved in waterboarding,” added the new chairman of the US military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, Michael Mullen.

“It’s important for us to maintain a high ground with respect to activities involving detainees.”

See? This tells me that there is a glimmer of hope that Mukasey will do the right thing for the American people and for the reputation of our country. I could be wrong, but I think Mukasey didn’t want to jeopardize his chances in getting in to fix this abomination and scar on our country right now! Again, I could be wrong.

Besides, do we want George Bush & Dick Cheney completely running the Department of Justice if the Attorney General position is not filled? I don’t! They have had way too much control over it as we’ve witnessed over the years when Gonzales was in charge! Something tells me that Mukasey will be different. We’ll have to wait and see what he does. If he slips up once, guaranteed the American people will not let it rest!

George Bush gets a bonk on the head…

….POOR BABY. He won’t be getting Ted Olson as the replacement for Attorney Alberto Gonzales, but instead, will be getting a candidate who is supported by some democrats & even liberals.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. We are all tired of him and his corrupt, incompetent Regime. Even Hillary has had it!

Bush’s power weakening? Nope. He’s just been grabbed by the shirt collar by the American people to stop putting in his cronies in high places who want to hurt our country rather than protect it and who could care less about the future or the safety thereof!

And what was that man thinking when he thought about putting in Ted Olson!?! Gawd.

Republicans like their privacy

Here’s proof:

Yep, the republicans and the democrats have no problem allowing George W. Bush & AG Alberto Gonzales spy on your phone calls, your emails, your cell phone conversations, but oh………oh please don’t!….don’t ever film a republican politician whose paycheck is paid by the American people, you know, the ones that they don’t care if Georgie & Alberto spy on them. See the hypocrisy anywhere? It’s around here somewhere.

*looking under the video that’s about republicans liking their privacy*

I found it!

Spying on Americans is okay with the 110th Congress

Thank you Congressman Tom Allen for doing the right thing by voting against this “4th Amendment right shredder”! Like I’ve said over and over and over again….you have my vote in 2008 and Senator Susan Collins will continue to have my contempt even after you win that election against this jackboot licking/clicking Bush supporter/Civil-rights-hater! She is a disgrace to our state and our country. She and others who continue to give George W. Bush (and Alberto Gonzales for crying out loud) more power than deserved are the ones WHO ARE DESTROYING OUR NATION WITH A WRECKING BALL EACH AND EVERY DAY AND ARE THE ONES WHO WILL BE BLAMED IN THE FUTURE FOR IT TOO.

(photo found on Google…www.rexcurry.net)

The “Protect America Act” (oh, how Orwellian is that title! Spit.) will allow Georgie Bush to spy on Americans:

The administration said the measure is needed to speed the National Security Agency’s ability to intercept phone calls, e-mails and other communications involving foreign nationals “reasonably believed to be outside the United States.” Civil liberties groups and many Democrats said it goes too far, possibly enabling the government to wiretap U.S. residents communicating with overseas parties without adequate oversight from courts or Congress.

Yep, “reasonably believed” is the key here and is the danger, but did the 110th Congress take this into consideration when they decided to vote in favor of this 4th Amendment shredder? Nope! They apparently trust Georgie and his minions to figure this out for us!

And then there’s the power that will be given to Alberto Gonzales, you know, the current Attorney General of the United States who has taken an oath to George Bush and not to the American people and also the guy who couldn’t tell the friggin truth if it was crammed down his throat with a garden rake! Yep, he gets powers he doesn’t effing deserve too:

Congressional Democrats won a few concessions in negotiations earlier in the week. New wiretaps must be approved by the director of national intelligence and the attorney general, not just the attorney general. Congress has battled with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on several issues, and some Democrats have accused him of perjury.
>
[...]
>
“This bill would grant the attorney general the ability to wiretap anybody, any place, any time without court review, without any checks and balances,” said Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., during the debate preceding the vote. “I think this unwarranted, unprecedented measure would simply eviscerate the 4th Amendment,” which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures.

Great, just great. All our country needs is Gonzales determining for Georgie who is reasonable to be spied on and who is not! We’ve got the Fourth Reich leading our nation right now and it’s scaring the hell out of me!

My brother was in the Air Force from 1978 to 1982 and during the last part of his service, he spent it in Germany. He loved being abroad and once his service was completed he has actively gone back to Europe and other areas every chance he gets. He’s been to Italy, Malta, England, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Slovenia, Croatia, and the Seychelle Islands. He’s in Croatia right now (again), because he’s in love with a Ukrainian woman there and is trying for the second time to get her to marry him (LOL Well, he has stamina! Gotta give him credit. Love is a powerful thing for sure) and to come back to the United States with him.

My point of telling you this is Georgie & Alberto can now intercept the calls (without a warrant) from us to him over there and they can listen in to these calls and determine if there’s reasonable cause to go after my brother or even my parents if something is said during these phone calls that they deem to be terrorist activities! It’s ludicrous! Because really if you think about it, what if my father says to my brother during one of these calls, “For your sister’s birthday we ordered her a beautiful yellow cake that will be arriving Friday in the afternoon”. Now, on the surface it appears to be a normal conversation, but to the morons in our government under George Bush, they could interpret this to mean:

“sister’s birthday” as code for a terrorist act (see Michael Hayden’s intercept of two of the 9/11 hijacker’s phone calls from September 10, 2001)

“ordered” as code to get ready…

“yellow cake” as code for the kind of device that will be used for the “terrorist act”….

“Friday in the afternoon” as the time it will happen.

Dangerous! It’s very dangerous to have our government doing this kind of surveillance when an American is involved and especially without a warrant. If our government knows that the American on the other end of the phone line is indeed a terrorist like Michael Hayden knew back along, then our government should go after these people for crying out loud! Oh, but no, our current crop of criminals running our nation would rather shred our rights as citizens of this country by harassing us rather than going after the REAL TERRORISTS! It makes my blood boil.

I wish the democrats and the republicans of the 110th Congress (and 109th, 108th, etc.) would stop thinking they’re being weak on terror if they choose the rights of Americans to be safe from illegal searches and seizures by our government! They’re confusing the issue. We are not safe FROM OUR GOVERNMENT if we give up our rights as citizens under the false impression that we have to to make ourselves safe.

It was Benjamin Franklin who once said: “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety”

George Bush and the 110th Congress know this statement to be true, so why in hell are they actively working against it???? Oh, that’s right. We’re fighting a war on a noun (terror) right now and this word is so obscure in meaning that our leaders believe this to be scary enough to take our rights away to fight it. Gawd dammit……poppycock!

Impeachment resolution against Alberto Gonzales? Ted Stevens arrested after FBI raid?

Sen. Ted Stevens’ house up there in good ole Alaska is right now being raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation! Woohoo!

Ted Stevens on one of his better days…

Wow, what a day. First the Democrats decide to introduce a resolution to impeach Alberto Gonzales, then we find out that Chief Justice John Roberts suffered a seizure and banged his head, and now we’re finding out that Sen. Ted Stevens’ house is being raided (and apparently CNN reported that he had been arrested!)!
