First off, did Glenn Beck rape and murder a young girl in 1990? He sued the blogger who set up a website asking this question and lost. I still think there’s some truth to it, though! Don’t you? He’s not responded publicly to the assertion, so according to Beck’s own philosophy, this means Beck is guilty of the charge!

I wished I had the audio to prove this, but Glenn Beck on his radio program today spent a lot of time telling his teabagging retarded listeners that President Obama back in his college days decided to change his name from “Barry” to Barack to fit in with the ‘radicals’, you know, he completely made up the name to do this. No doubt President Obama years ago found some of the people on campus fascinating and congregated with them, but he “changed his name”? What an ass Beck is. (I’m sure the neocons on campus only hung out with other neocons because going outside the Neocon Box is very scary to them!) I’m personally the same way. I like people who have different political thoughts and ideas (well, unless you’re a neck drooling knuckle dragging neocon! I don’t give you retards the time of day! And never will. All other political ideologies are interesting) and I like talking with them to find out what makes them tick. Of course, to Glenn Beck anyone who doesn’t tow the Fascist Line is the enemy! Well, that was the point of Beck’s show today:

Beck was trying to convince the retards that the name change is key to understanding who Barack Hussein Obama truly is! Well, maybe he’s right on one level….

Makes sense to me! He was surrounded by people of all different colors and ideologies while on campus and it made sense to him to start using the name he was born with which is certainly a name that is different and interesting, because he shouldn’t be ashamed of it!
I love President Obama. He truly is a deep thinker and a compassionate one at that! Had I been on campus with him years ago, I would have gravitated to him in a heartbeat. He exudes realism while Beck and others today exude hate for a man that scares him because he’s different. *rolling eyes*

It’s pathetic to break a New Year’s resolution before we even get to New Year’s Day, but here I go. I had promised myself that I would do a better job of ignoring Dick Cheney’s corrosive and nonsensical outbursts — that I would treat them, more or less, like the pearls of wisdom one hears from homeless people sitting in bus shelters.
But he is a former vice president, which gives him a big stage for his histrionic Rottweiler-in-Winter act. It is never a good idea to let widely disseminated lies and distortions go unchallenged. And the shrill screed that Cheney unloosed Wednesday is so full of outright mendacity that, well, my resolution will have to wait.
In a statement to Politico, Cheney seemed to be trying to provide talking points for opponents of the Obama administration who — incredibly — would exploit the Christmas Day terrorist attack for political gain. Cheney’s broadside opens with a big lie, which he then repeats throughout. It is as if he believes that saying something over and over again, in a loud enough voice, magically makes it so.
“As I’ve watched the events of the last few days it is clear once again that President Obama is trying to pretend we are not at war,” Cheney begins.
Flat-out untrue.
The fact is that Obama has said many times that we are at war against terrorists. He said it as a candidate. He said it in his inaugural address: “Our nation is at war against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred.” He has said it since.
As Cheney well knows, unless he has lost even the most tenuous grip on reality, Obama’s commitment to warfare as an instrument in the fight against terrorism has won the president nothing but grief from the liberal wing of his party, with more certainly to come. Hasn’t anyone told Cheney that Obama is sharply boosting troop levels in Afghanistan in an attempt to avoid losing a war that the Bush administration started but then practically abandoned?
Cheney knows this. But he goes on to use the big lie — that Obama is “trying to pretend we are not at war” — to bludgeon the administration on a host of specific issues. Here is the one that jumps out at me: The president, Cheney claims, “seems to think that if he closes Guantanamo and releases the hard-core al Qaeda-trained terrorists still there, we won’t be at war.”
Interesting that Cheney should bring that up, because it now seems clear that the man accused of trying to blow up Northwest Flight 253, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was given training — and probably the bomb itself, which involved plastic explosives sewn into his underwear — by al-Qaeda operatives in Yemen. It happens that at least two men who were released from Guantanamo appear to have gone on to play major roles as al-Qaeda lieutenants in Yemen. Who let these dangerous people out of our custody? They were set free by the administration of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.
The former vice president expresses his anger that the Obama administration is bringing Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, to trial in New York. Cheney is also angry that Obama does not use the phrase “war on terror” all the time, the way the Bush administration used to. But Obama just specifies that we’re at war against a network of terrorists, on the sensible theory that it’s impossible to wage war against a tactic.
Toward the end of his two-paragraph statement, Cheney goes completely off the rails and starts fulminating about how Obama is seeking “social transformation — the restructuring of American society.” Somehow, this is supposed to be related to the president’s alleged disavowal of war — which, of course, isn’t real anyway. It makes you wonder whether Cheney is just feeding the fantasies of the paranoid right or has actually joined the tea-party fringe.
I can find reasons to criticize the administration’s response to the Christmas Day attack. Obama and his team were slow off the mark. Their initial statements were weak. Obama shouldn’t have waited three days to speak publicly, and when he did he should have shown some emotion.
But using a terrorist attack to seek political gain? I have a New Year’s resolution to suggest for Cheney: Ahead of your quest for personal vindication, put country first.
Now when the wingnuts and conservo-tards get their bedwetting panties in a twist, and screech their talking points they have this post to rebut or fail in the talking point idiocy they play with.
But that won’t stop them any more the the facts ever have.
In 2000 when the Supreme Court decided to appoint Bush president (by a 5 to 4 decision), there was consternation on the left. Questions about the shenanigans and the way Katherine Harris violated the rules before and after the election and how the whole system was short circuited to prevent a complete vote count.
No one questioned Bush’s birth, or religion, or patriotism, attacked his family, called for his impeachment in 2000, or attacked his children; especially democratic congress critters .. or most mainstream progressive commentators.
When President Bush was in office, there were calls for his impeachment. It was discussed, debated, reported by the MSM, and even polled about. Some calls came as early as 2003 when he was planning his invasion of Iraq, for an illegal war.

People protested the War, that is to be expected. No national supposed news organization was the central moving agent for those protests (unlike the astroturf teabagging movement).
Nor did progressive protesters refuse to permit citizens from expressing their concerns to their elected representatives like the tea baggers did in Aug 2009.
Other calls came during the revelations of illegal wiretapping after 2005.
No one suggested a coup, because Bush was ignoring the US Constitution.(like a newsmax about president Obama column has done recently)

On March 24, 2007, the Vermont Democratic State Committee voted to support JRH 15, a state legislative resolution supporting impeachment, calling for its passage as “appropriate action.”
On April 28, 2007, the California Democratic Convention passed a resolution for impeachment.
At the federal level action was also taken
On June 16, 2005 Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) assembled an unofficial meeting to discuss the Downing Street memo and to consider grounds for impeachment. Conyers filed a resolution on December 18, 2005 to create an investigative committee to consider impeachment. His resolution gained 38 co-sponsors before it expired at the end of the 109th Congress.
On June 9, 2008, Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), introduced a resolution, H.Res. 1258, to impeach president George W. Bush, which included 35 counts in the articles of impeachment. At the end of the evening on June 10, Kucinich offered a motion to refer HRes 1258 to the House Judiciary Committee. On June 11, the House voted 251-166 to send the resolution to the Committee.
Each of these actions were totally with in the law,
That is how the progressive part of our political structure tried to deal with what they foresaw as illegal activity by the President. They wanted Bush impeached, legally, by the rules of the US Constitution.

A federal judge in Georgia has threatened Orly Taitz, de facto leader of the birther movement, with sanctions if she ever brings another “frivolous” case before him, news reports say.
Judge Clay Land of the US District Court in Columbus, Georgia, threw out a case brought by US Army Captain Connie Rhodes, who earlier this month sued for the right to refuse deployment orders to Iraq, on the argument that the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, President Barack Obama, was not born in the United States and is therefore not the legitimate head of the army.
According to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Judge Clay stated in his ruling that the plaintiff “has presented no credible evidence and has made no reliable factual allegations to support her unsubstantiated, conclusory allegations and conjecture that President Obama is ineligible to serve as president of the United States.”
The ruling continues: “Instead, she uses her complaint as a platform for spouting political rhetoric, such as her claims that the president is ‘an illegal usurper, an unlawful pretender, [and] an unqualified imposter.’”
As WTVM-TV in Columbus reported, the judge also stated that Rhodes’ attorney, birther leader Orly Taitz, “will be subject to counsel sanctions for bringing any future actions in his court which are similarly frivolous.”
The judge’s ruling represents a significant legal defeat for Taitz and the birther movement, which received a great deal of attention from the media this summer. Media watchdog groups specifically targeted CNN’s Lou Dobbs, who gave the discredited theory that Obama was not born in the United States a disproportionate amount of coverage, according to some observers.
Taitz was behind this summer’s release of a purported “Kenyan birth certificate” for President Obama, which was dated two years after the president’s 1961 birth date, and contradicted Hawaiian officials’ long-standing insistence that the president’s Hawaiian birth certificate is legitimate.
Judge Clay ruled that that document, which evidently formed the backbone of the plaintiff’s case, was illegitimate because Taitz’s organization paid money to acquire it, making it tantamount to bribery.

On MSNBC’s Morning Joe today, host Joe Scarborough ripped into the hyperventilating conservatives. “Seriously, why don’t we want the president of the United States, any president of the United States, delivering the message to kids: work hard, stay in school, succeed,” said Scarborough, adding, “get your ratings if you want, you’re just screwing your political party.”

Glenn Beck today once again went on a rampage against Van Jones, who is President Obama’s Special Advisor (or ‘Czar’ as Beck calls him) on Green Jobs for America by playing words Jones spoke last year in April 2008 and Beck wants us to believe that Jones is a scary communist no different than Kim Jong Il of North Korea! Isn’t that great? Seriously, Beck played some of the speech and what I heard Van Jones saying is completely different than how Beck interpreted it. So what did the Radical Kernel of the Conservative Capitalist Movement do? He told his listeners that today’s audios of Van Jones talking would be enough to sink the Obama Administration and that they should tell everyone a scary Communist is working for the president. How laughable! Here’s what Van Jones said last year…
Van Jones; “Right after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat if the civil rights leaders had jumped out and said, ‘OK now we want reparations for slavery, we want redistribution of all the wealth, and we want to legalize mixed marriages.’ If we’d come out with a maximum program the very next day, they’d been laughed at. Instead they came out with a very minimum. ‘We just want to integrate these buses.’
“But, inside that minimum demand was a very radical kernel that eventually meant that from 1964 to 1968 complete revolution was on the table for this country. And, I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps and stages. Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism where at least we’re not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet. Will that be enough? No, it won’t be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression altogether. What Van Jones is saying is after the Rosa Parks incident, the Civil Rights Movement should have used this moment as a way to achieve more Civil Rights (reparations, redistributing the wealth, and legalizing mixed marriages) for black Americans in this country in a quicker fashion, you know, NO DIFFERENT THAN WHAT GEORGE BUSH & DICK CHENEY DID WITH 9/11/01 (but in a much more positive way!). See? George Bush & Dick Cheney used 9/11 as their ‘minimum program’ to be referred to constantly to achieve their maximum programs, which was: invading Iraq, conquering the oil, use speculators to make a profit on oil, rob America blind while using the fear of 9/11 & the Bogeyman to achieve it all etc. etc. etc.! Also, there’s a huge difference between ‘gray capitalism’ and ‘eco-capitalism’. Gray capitalism does not allow a company to not make a profit. In other words, the large companies on Wall Street have to always make a profit for their investors and in doing so, the companies will lay off American workers and then send those jobs overseas or they’ll just lay off their workers to make sure the CEO’s get a substantial bonus that year. In addition to this, some of the non-eco-friendly companies harm the planet as we all know. Green/eco-capitalism, on the other hand, would be companies based in America that would make & create products that don’t hurt the environment and that supports the worker (think Unions) to have a good wage, job security, and a feeling of connectedness. What’s wrong with a company wanting a communal country where the people working for the company are also their sole investors who all share in the good times and help each other during the bad times? Nothing! Oh but to Glenn Beck this feel good notion is scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaary to him, you know, the Radical Kernel of the Conservative Capitalism Movement! Isn’t that nice? What a guy. Do you wonder why I’m an Atheist, why I hate the right wing of America, and why I hope they lose every election for the rest of eternity? Funny, the “good Reverend” talks about the wicked like he’s not included in the group! He is wicked, vile, and is a snake charmer (hey Glenn Beck is too!) but is too ignorant to realize it’s he who he is talking about in the above sermon! Oh, but President Obama is black and this is why Anderson hates his guts. Hell, I bet Anderson has convinced the black conservative, Christopher Broughton, that he must die too at some point! Spit.
Well, since Reverend Anderson is wishing for the death of President Obama, may I take the time to describe how I hope the ‘good Reverend’ dies? I hope one day I’m driving the WNI limo down the street listening to THIS SONG (or maybe THIS SONG, I haven’t decided because both would be good to drive & kill to) and I see him start to step off the sidewalk. I hit the gas pedal, yell ‘fucker!’, and then hit that son-of-a-bitch so hard I drag his body down the street wedged between my tire and the wheel-well until I see nothing but body parts in the rear view window flying all over the road as I drag that fucker for miles with the radio turned up loud!!!! How’s that? Or maybe someone in his church could gun him down for all of us? I’m sure the ‘good Reverend’ will be fine. He loves this shit.
So, the next time someone says, “Man, that Reverend Wright guy sure is scary”…..remember what Reverend Steven Anderson is saying! He wants President Obama dead.
Glenn Beck has been spewing on his show all week about how President Obama has put in radical and dangerous people in his Administration. Beck has focused on one of the President’s “Czars”, who is Van Jones and who is now Obama’s Special Adviser for Green Jobs. Granted, Van Jones was a professed Communist and years ago he tried to accomplish a radical revolution (after the Rodney King trial when he announced he was a Communist, but has since denounced this title for himself) in support of a ‘multiracial social utopia’. Did he succeed in forming a huge revolutionary “guard” of “Communists” to force his ideals on America? Nope! He didn’t have the power to. Just like Bill Ayers before him who tried to violently get his message across (3 people in the Weather Underground died and no one else) and didn’t succeed in getting a national movement behind him….this also happened to Van Jones! Oh…
But Glenn Beck has the ability to form an armed revolutionary guard of Fascists! Yes he does. Glenn Beck uses two national microphones a day to catapult his agenda and to gather up his forces Monday thru Friday: one on his radio program in the morning and one in the evening on Fox News. Every single day, Glenn Beck uses his microphones to form armed militias for an armed revolution against President Obama’s Administration, because Glenn Beck wants to force the Fascist agenda back on America after having 8 years of it under George Bush. Beck tells us almost daily that his radio show is the third most listened to program in the nation and he brags that his television show gets millions of viewers a week. He’s telling us how he has the power to do what Van Jones, Bill Ayers, and others tried to do!
No wonder Sarah Palin is telling us she’s telling everyone to watch Glenn Beck on Fox News everyday! She too has the power to form armed militias filled with white supremacists, neo-Nazis, secessionists, and other ConservaNazis to catapult their agenda!
Dangerous. Very dangerous! Van Jones who has been put in charge of creating Green Jobs for the Obama Administration is nothing compared to what Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Fox News, and other ConservaNazis are doing. See?

I found the following post linked on my Twitter page today. Amazing piece. Also as you read it, do not forget it was George Bush’s grandfather, Preston Bush, who FINANCED the Nazis during WWII knowing full well what they were doing and didn’t care.
On my 21st birthday, I woke up in the morning and drove to Dairy Queen. I got soft serve vanilla ice cream with strawberry topping and I ate it for breakfast. Why? When I was a child I asked once if I could have ice cream for breakfast, and my mother said, “You can have ice cream for breakfast when you’re 21.” And so I did.
My father spent his 21st birthday in a prisoner of war camp. Deaf in one ear, and completely flat-footed, he could have easily been a “4-F” and escaped service for medical reasons. He was a peaceful man but he, like so many of his generation, felt the need to serve his country, and to fight againgst the fascism that was threatening to engulf the democratic nations of Western Europe, and had even attacked the United States.
When he was 20 years old, he’d been taken prisoner by the Germans at the Battle of the Bulge, was marched for miles, imprisoned, and starved. Like many men of his generation, veterans of World War II, he didn’t talk about it much. He held his memories close to his chest. If he talked to anyone about them, I didn’t know. It was only many years after his service and just before his death that he shared some of those memories with me.
Starvation does strange things to people. He told me that after a while in the camp, he had the same recurring dream, every night – a stack of pancakes topped with two fried eggs, sunny-side up. He’d dream that dream over and over, a still frame, a picture of a breakfast that never came. He told me that his fellow prisoners got so hungry that once they had killed and eaten a cat that had strayed into the camp. You don’t forget a story like that.
Or the story of the man in the camp, who snapped. In peace time, we’d have called him a boy. Suddenly and without warning in the middle of the day, out in the yard, his mind went. He ran for the fence in a desperate effort to escape. There was nowhere to go, and in broad daylight with armed guards everywhere, he didn’t stand a chance. My father, who was quick to pick up languages, had learned some German. “Don’t shoot! He’s crazy! He’s lost his mind! He doesn’t know what he’s doing!” my father called out to the guards as he ran out in the yard waving his arms. The man kept running for the fence, and he climbed, and the guards didn’t shoot. They waited until he reached the top. And then they shot him. They left him there for three days as a warning to anyone else who might have been thinking about escape.
Any survivor of World War II has stories. Millions were never able to tell them. Their lives ended on battlefields, and in gas chambers, at the hands of the Nazis. My dad was able to tell me some of his experiences, but most of those memories died with him, like they died with many vets and victims of the war. I didn’t even know he’d received a Purple Heart until after his death. But he survived. He survived to marry the girl he left at home, to buy a house, to get a college degree, to start his own company, and to raise a family of five children.
I asked my dad if he ever got his stack of pancakes with the fried eggs on top. I imagined it being his first meal after the Russians had liberated the camp. The Germans had heard that the Russians were coming, and they left quickly in the night. The prisoners hadn’t known what was happening until two days later when the Russian army came and let them out, confused and near death. No, he told me, he never did have the pancakes and eggs. It took months in the hospital to build his system back up to where he could eat normally. He began at 5′11″ weighing less than 100 pounds, and started with an IV, then a liquid diet, then cream of wheat, and finally solids. A fellow prisoner, he said, on his way from the camp to the hospital in France had managed to get a hold of a box of donuts and had gorged himself. He died a free man, but still a victim. By the time my dad was able to eat that stack of pancakes and eggs, the desire had passed.
I remember as a child I was not allowed to watch Hogan’s Heroes. It wasn’t a joke in my house. There was nothing funny about prisoner of war camps. There were no handsome well-fed prisoners with secret tunnels under their bunks, and pirate radio equipment who always managed to play their captors for the fool. There were frightened, emaciated young men whose minds and bodies were broken an ocean away from home, who were shot on fences , and who ate cats, and watched their friends die. There was nothing to laugh about. Those were Nazis.
As time passes, and as the greatest generation becomes a memory, passing into history one soul at a time, it is up to the generations that follow them to keep “Hitler” and “Nazi” out of the clutches of those who would make them political buzzwords for people they don’t like, or policies they don’t understand. Those words remind us of the worst that people can be. There is nothing horrible about Germans in particular that caused them to do these things. This is humanity’s dark potential, and something that we all need to remember, whether we were there or not, or whether our family was affected or not, because this is what people can do to each other. To strip those words of their power and meaning in order to create political fear for self-gain is inexcusable and needs to be confronted and refuted whenever it arises, by all of us, whether we support the current health care bill and the current president or not.
Neocons…STOP COMPARING PRESIDENT OBAMA TO HITLER OVER HEALTH CARE OR FOR ANY OTHER REASON. If you feel the desire to do this kind of comparing, please continue to compare George Bush to Hitler, because he was like him minus the gas chambers (though, had Cheney & Rumsfeld thought of it, they would have created gas chambers!)! Spit.
I love how for decades the republicans of America have told us liberals that we are immoral because of our beliefs and because of who we are. They hate us and they have worked really really hard to demoralize us and they have taken the time to let us know that we are the epitome of immorality! Well, Doc Thompson on Glenn Beck’s show (Glenn is taking a ‘mental break’ this week. Uh ha.) went batshit crazy after he listened to President Obama’s speech & telephone conference with religious leaders yesterday. He couldn’t wait to come on Beck’s show to say, (paraphrasing) “How dare you Mr. President point fingers at us and tell us that we have to be moral! We don’t want to be moral. We don’t want to help the less fortunate! How dare you take money out of the hands of the health insurance industry! Jesus would hate you. How dare you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”.
What President Obama said to the religious leaders is that there are a lot of people out there bearing false witness when it comes to the health care debate. President Obama also went on to say that we are moral people when we help the less fortunate around us. Using the phrase “bearing false witness” and “moral obligation” are the two comments which put Doc into a Jesus-Obama-Hating-Frenzy today.

During his little rant this morning he basically admitted that the conservatives suck ass, are self-centered, are selfish, and Jesus would be ashamed of them all, because honestly…..the right wingers told us liberals for years that we were all going to hell! And now look? The Mighty Religious Morons shout loudly now that they hate the teachings of Jesus and they are not going to be forced to be nice to anyone but themselves and the pasty white CEO’s of insurance companies! See?
It was a good way to start the day. I love nothing more than driving in my car listening to a right winger speak, scream, and yell truth to power to himself first thing in the morning!
