What a thrill! So proud of President Obama and our country!
Today is also Martin Luther King Day! How appropriate it is to have our nation’s first African American president sworn in on a day where our nation has crossed over the mountaintop! RIP, great man.
President Obama, of course, has been in great danger since he was sworn in in January 2009. Even a West Point think-tank is warning our nation of the dangers of violent right wing extremism! Martin Luther King was right: “The nation is sick” and these right wing fools keep lying to themselves to keep their irrational fear against the black man at the surface.
We stand tall with you, President Obama! So proud of you! Your second term will be met again by right wing extremists in the US Congress, but we have your back again. As an American said after your 2012 election win, “In 2008, Obama lifted us up. In 2012, we lifted him up!”. YES WE DID!

Right wing extremists (America’s terrorists!): STAY HOME TODAY!

Forgot to mention that today’s Inaugural poet is from Bethel, Maine (go Oxford County!), he’s a Latino immigrant, and HE’S GAY! Thank you President Obama for choosing one of Maine’s finest to represent our great state! Here’s his poem:

Simply GREAT day and nice progressive speech full of hope and change for the future.
Clif, check out what the right wing LYING CHEATING STEALING scumbags in VA did during the Inauguration today!

It was a great day, Clif! I wept throughout it!
An amazing moment! The president stops to take one last look at the crowd at his last inauguration….

What a wonderful day!! I found the poet an inspiration & delighted to learn he’s from Maine. Everybody who supported President Obama should be proud.
Truly was a very emotional and inspiring day, Myra!

I didn’t get to see much of the Inauguration being shuttled from waiting room to waiting room at my two oncologists, lab to lab, getting radiation, then hooked up to IV’s for my chemotherapy. However, there were TV’s on all over the clinics from Faux News, MSNBC to CNN. The latter gave the best coverage just letting us watch LIVE without so much commentary. I did get to see/hear the Inaugural Address Richard Blanco’s poem, plus throughout the day got to see videos of a lot I missed. Did miss most of Myrlie Evers prayer which I did want to hear but thanks to the miracle of the Internt. http://www.usatoday.com/videos.....2/1852421/ Fox “talking heads” from early on lamented the “extreme liberal” positions of OUR president. When you win by 5 million votes, don’t you get to express your views? Don’t the Conservatives know enough about U.S. History to realize our Founding Fathers and our founding documents were most LIBERAL for their time? The conservatives then were Tories who wanted to stick with King George.
Yep, the Patriots of years past didn’t want a religious theocratic dictatorship like the Tories did!
