Looks like Marco Rubio doesn’t know what team he’s on…

bigquestionmark

“Taking one for the team”.

I remember waaaaaaaaaaaaay before Icky Ricky Santorum said (emphasis mine), “…but you know, when you’re part of the team, sometimes you take one for the team, for the leader, and I made a mistake”, myself and other liberals were saying under George Bush online, “Whose going to take one for the team and give George Bush a blowjob so we can impeach him?”! Hilarious comment and boy did it bond us liberals together. Sure did. But what I want to know is, whose ‘team’ is Marco Rubio on?

It appears he’s been part of way too many religious teams. Say wha? I thought all right wingers started their lives out holding the Christian bible and being part of one religious thought until death? Nope. Apparently not…

From the Miami Herald:

WASHINGTON — News broke Thursday that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio was baptized as a Mormon at age 8, when his family lived in Las Vegas. A few years later, he converted to Catholicism.

Yet Rubio’s religious profile is even more complicated than that, given his close ties to an evangelical church in Miami.

It’s a mix — a “faith journey,” as his office put it — that has some wondering whether the rising Republican is trying to be all things to all people, and what other surprises may be in his past.

He’s a practicing Catholic but enjoys the sermons of a Southern Baptist-affiliated church, his office said, adding he has long crossed into both faiths.

The revelation that Rubio, 40, was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints drew quick comparisons to another Mormon, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. In just over a year in office, Rubio has vaulted to the top of the shortlist of running mates.

Okay, this is very confusing! I know that when I say “take one for the team” I’m talking about the proud liberal team I’m a part of and we know when Icky Ricky says he’s taking one for the team, he’s saying he’s a part of Satan’s Disciples, but when Marco is faced with being part of a team, which one is he a part of??!!!!! Seriously, how can one go from being a Mormon, to being a Catholic, and then hanging out in evangelical nutcase churches?

What the hell!!!!

Joe Scarborough of Morning Joe this morning said something like, “I thought ‘taking one for the team’ has a sexual connotation to it?” and looking really confused like he had heard it before used that way. Well, back during the Americablog days I remember myself and other liberals asking the question, “Whose going to take one for the team and give George Bush a blowjob so we can impeach him?”. Ha! That’s where ole Joe remembers that phrase having a sexual connection. See? He was reading liberal blogs back then too!

Maybe next Marco Rubio will convert to Judaism then the Mormons can “rebaptize” him back “BY PROXY” as the Mormons are currently doing for Jewish Holocaust victims (600,000 so far) including Ann Frank! Loved Stephen Colbert last night converting Mormons to Jews by a ritual circumcision (Colbert snipped off the end of a hot dog!). Mormons do claim to be the LOST TRIBE of Jews, however.

The main reason the Mormons (Latter Day Saints) have the world’s best, most complete genealogical library in Salt Lake City is to make it possible to baptize “by proxy” everyone in the world, eventually. We can all look forward  to someday, after we are dead and can’t fight back, having our names read aloud in some Mormon Temple somewhere while some Mormon enters a pool of water and gets “dunked” in our name!

The Mormon religion is one of the biggest modern frauds in the world next to the cult of Scientology. Not saying that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam aren’t also frauds based upon “sky god” mythologies, but Mormons and Scientologists are some of the most active proselytizers.

Mitt Romney is back campaigning hard in his “home state” of Michigan (which he left at age 18). He told a crowd today:

This feels good, being back in Michigan. You know, the trees are the right height. The streets are just right. I like the fact that most of the cars I see are Detroit-made automobiles. I drive a Mustang and a Chevy pick-up truck. Ann drives a couple of Cadillacs, actually. And I used to have a Dodge truck.”

Mitt is trying so hard to appear to be a “common man” (now even wearing Levi’s at his events) but then brags about ALL of the cars he and his wife currently own!!! He is so far removed from being a common man, just buying a beach house in La Jolla, California for $12 MILLION just to bulldoze because he likes the parcel of land where he can rebuild a 12,000 sq. ft. beach vacation home. His growing Mormon family needs the extra bedrooms, he claims, and the old 3000 sq. ft. house there is just too small.

I know. Isn’t it hilarious watching Mitty trying to be the average person? It’s like he’s an out-of-touch right winger who is part of the Wall Street Party or something!

      • Grant in Houston says:

Paul Krugman writes about the MOST dishonest Mitt Romney who is not close to the person he tries to convince the voters he really is.

The truth is that Mr. Romney is so deeply committed to insincerity that neither side can trust him to do what it considers to be the right thing.”
