A reminder to my new boyfriend Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts…

The vote on repealing Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell is today and I would like to remind you that when you were in the military, you served with soldiers who were gay! You can’t deny this! Adhering to the neocon bigotry does not look good on you. You are too handsome for that kind of thinking! Remember, according to your political party’s ideology, if you’re good looking it means you’re smart. Don’t let us down today!

Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins did not serve in the military and they will most likely side with bigotry, because they’re “moderates”.

Yesterday I went to the Lady Gaga rally to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Here’s a few pictures I took….

(The edge of the crowd. Around 2,000 showed up yesterday at Deering Oaks Park)

The only photo I got of Lady Gaga herself. Deering Oaks is a hilly park, so trying to get a clear shot of her was difficult for those like myself who got to the rally late…

  1. It appears that DADT will not be abolished as the Maine Senators are sounding like they will go along in lock-step/goose-step with the party of the REICH. Susan Collins says it should be repealed but “can’t vote for it” due to MINOR procedural issues! That is like voting against Civil Rights legislation because one doesn’t like the way the “i”s and “t”s are dotted and crossed.

Sen. John McCain flip-flopped on this too, reversing past stances and backing off what his mentor, Sen. Barry Goldwater, wished…to see gays openly serve in the military. Even the theocracy of Israel allows gays to serve openly along with nearly EVERY military unit in Europe and Canada.

David Frum, speechwriter for the Bush White House, better watch himself as he is too moderate for the loons on the REICH who have hijacked my parents’ GOP.

  2. Also, on a more serious note:

Wouldn’t neocon bigotry be bigotry against neocons? I think the word you were looking for there was “homophobia.”

  3. John Asshole was the Senator who lobbied the rest of the REICH to block this vote. McCain told the NY Times:

“Why are we now trying to jam this thing through? It is all about the battle-effectiveness, the morale, of the men and women who are serving in the military.”

McCain attached his campaign finance reform onto an appropriations bill in 2002 and got his bill passed in the Senate by a vote of 60-40. Mitch McConnell opposed that bill too.

    • Yep, but the Pentagon is without it’s budget! You know what…I like that. A lot! Thank you repukes for voting with your “stay away from my penis you big bad boys” brain today!

  4. Why would democrats repeal the Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell that Bill Clinton put into effect. Isn’t that against the democrat mantra?

    • The republicans controlled the House & Senate under Clinton. They wanted it. Unfortunately, Bill Clinton signed it into law. Never should have been! This atrocious bill should have been repealed a long time ago.

  5. Using that logic, the Democrats controlled congress when Bush let Frank, Dodd and Waters run amok with the banking system, fannie, freddie and the stock market. I agree Clinton should have never signed the don’t as don’t tell but Bush should have never let the majority democrats ruin the economy for their own gain.

The democrats have done a good job of destroying the economy and blaming the republicans.

    • So you have your fingers crossed that George Bush’s illegal wars continue? I don’t! I say to the Dems…HOLD THE DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION BILL HOSTAGE! Love the idea.

      • So you have your fingers crossed that George Bush’s illegal wars continue?

GWB’s war ended on January 20, 2009. It has been Obama’s war for the past 20 months. So, how’s that working out for you?

        • Really? George Bush’s illegal war ended for him? But he’s a war criminal! Oh wait. You neocons love war criminals….that’s why you worship Bushitler. George Bush started it and HIS GENERALS CONTINUE TO WANT TO STAY THERE TO HELP GEORGIE’S CRONIES MAKE BILLIONS!

If Sarah Palin gets in in 2014, will Obamacare be her health care plan for America? Yep! You said so! Your philosophy! *crossing fingers a right wing neck drooler gets in in 2014*

  6. I’m saying it’s political reality. It’s that simple.

As for an illegal war, here’s an interesting little tidbit .. When Bush was asked ‘why not set an exit date from Iraq’ his reply was ‘when conditions permit we will do that’

Now, why did Obama set an exit date from Afghanistan? His reply was ‘I cant lose the whole Democratic Party’

Isnt it nice to know your leader is letting the enemy know when we’re leaving just so he can please people like you? Screw doing what you SHOULD do in a war – fight to win.

Oh and here’s the link, directly from the NY Times

    • Have you neocons decided yet what winning looks like in Iraq and Afghanistan? Georgie wanted us to stay until we won. He got us in there to help his Haves & Have Mores. President Obama inherited Georgie’s illegal wars, and guess what? Georgie’s generals don’t want to listen to the Democrat in the White House who doesn’t have the same color skin as Georgie!

LEAVE IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN NOW! I DON’T GIVE A SHIT WHAT AL-QAIDA (Dick Cheney & Donald Rumsfeld’s privately funded death squad) THINKS!

      • If we have to document, why don’t you? Point to financial records showing his friend’s directly profiting from the war.

        • Halliburton, KBR, the oil industry as a whole (thanks to the speculators on Wall Street!) and other companies. You didn’t know this? These companies provided nothing beneficial while over in Iraq and Afghanistan and kept most of the billions the American taxpayer gave them! Seriously, where were you under George Bush? Under a rock?

            • The first thing George Bush had our military do when the boots hit the ground is secure the oil fields:

              Under “2003 Invasion”: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War

Coalition troops launched air and amphibious assault on the Al-Faw peninsula to secure the oil fields there and the important ports, supported by warships of the Royal Navy, Polish Navy, and Royal Australian Navy. The United States Marine Corps’ 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, attached to 3 Commando Brigade and the Polish Special Forces unit GROM attacked the port of Umm Qasr, while the British Army’s 16 Air Assault Brigade secured the oilfields in southern Iraq. Polish commandos captured offshore oil platforms near the port, preventing their destruction.

The stolen oil under Dick Cheney the Oil Man’s direction (2005 article): http://www.larouchepub.com/oth.....urton.html
              More stolen oil: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories.....1828.shtml

You Google the rest. I’m tired of doing all the work while you neocons NEVER post any links to back up your stupid statements with! Thought I don’t agree with everything Larouche spews.

    • Even staying another year is a year too long. Another 400 American soldiers need not to die in that region.

I guess our TROLL Intellectual Conservative doesn’t remember that Bush and Maliki long discussed the USA leaving Iraq and the latter promoted the date they wanted. Bush called it “time horizons” so as not to sound like he had an exact date in mind. Obama got us out of combat roles there even though he left in 50K “trainers” to keep the hawks here happy. McCain wanted to stay forever….USA uber alles.

  7. January 3, 2007 was when the brilliant Waters, slimy Dodd and liar Frank came into power.

The blame for the financial collapse is clearly Bush’s fault because he didn’t stop the democrats from causing the collapse of the financial system. A house for everyone, especially those who couldn’t pay was a democrat vote buying idea. This is followed by a car for everyone and than a doctor for everyone. According to the liar leader, obama, it is all free.

April: The Administration’s FY02 budget declares that the size of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is “a potential problem,” because “financial trouble of a large GSE could cause strong repercussions in financial markets, affecting Federally insured entities and economic activity.”

May: The President calls for the disclosure and corporate governance principles contained in his 10-point plan for corporate responsibility to apply to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. (OMB Prompt Letter to OFHEO, 5/29/02)

January: Freddie Mac announces it has to restate financial results for the previous three years.

February: The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) releases a report explaining that “although investors perceive an implicit Federal guarantee of [GSE] obligations,” “the government has provided no explicit legal backing for them.” As a consequence, unexpected problems at a GSE could immediately spread into financial sectors beyond the housing market. (“Systemic Risk: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Role of OFHEO,” OFHEO Report, 2/4/03).

September: Fannie Mae discloses SEC investigation and acknowledges OFHEO’s review found earnings manipulations.

September: Treasury Secretary John Snow testifies before the House Financial Services Committee to recommend that Congress enact “legislation to create a new Federal agency to regulate and supervise the financial activities of our housing-related government sponsored enterprises” and set prudent and appropriate minimum capital adequacy requirements.

October: Fannie Mae discloses $1.2 billion accounting error.

November: Council of the Economic Advisers (CEA) Chairman Greg Mankiw explains that any “legislation to reform GSE regulation should empower the new regulator with sufficient strength and credibility to reduce systemic risk.” To reduce the potential for systemic instability, the regulator would have “broad authority to set both risk-based and minimum capital standards” and “receivership powers necessary to wind down the affairs of a troubled GSE.” (N. Gregory Mankiw, Remarks At The Conference Of State Bank Supervisors State Banking Summit And Leadership, 11/6/03).

February: The President’s FY05 Budget again highlights the risk posed by the explosive growth of the GSEs and their low levels of required capital, and called for creation of a new, world-class regulator: “The Administration has determined that the safety and soundness regulators of the housing GSEs lack sufficient power and stature to meet their responsibilities, and therefore…should be replaced with a new strengthened regulator.” (2005 Budget Analytic Perspectives, pg. 83)

February: CEA Chairman Mankiw cautions Congress to “not take [the financial market's] strength for granted.” Again, the call from the Administration was to reduce this risk by “ensuring that the housing GSEs are overseen by an effective regulator.” (N. Gregory Mankiw, Op-Ed, “Keeping Fannie And Freddie’s House In Order,” Financial Times, 2/24/04).

June: Deputy Secretary of Treasury Samuel Bodman spotlights the risk posed by the GSEs and called for reform, saying “We do not have a world-class system of supervision of the housing government sponsored enterprises (GSEs), even though the importance of the housing financial system that the GSEs serve demands the best in supervision to ensure the long-term vitality of that system. Therefore, the Administration has called for a new, first class, regulatory supervisor for the three housing GSEs: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banking System.” (Samuel Bodman, House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Testimony, 6/16/04).

April: Treasury Secretary John Snow repeats his call for GSE reform, saying “Events that have transpired since I testified before this Committee in 2003 reinforce concerns over the systemic risks posed by the GSEs and further highlight the need for real GSE reform to ensure that our housing finance system remains a strong and vibrant source of funding for expanding homeownership opportunities in America… Half-measures will only exacerbate the risks to our financial system.” (Secretary John W. Snow, “Testimony Before The U.S. House Financial Services Committee,” 4/13/05).

Notice something funny? Oh wait! 2006 is missing! How come? What happened during that year (REPUBLICANS CONTROLLED ALL 3 BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT THEN!) that your friend “nice deb” didn’t want to list out?

And under Bill Clinton, the right wingers controlled the Congress for most of those years!

  8. Isnt it funny how Obama is fighting a war for political reasons and you have no comment on it .. Hmm I wonder what your reaction would be if Bush had said ‘I cant lose the whole Republican Party so I am setting an exit date’

Then again considering your lack of anger over 2 Dem Governors supporting human traffickers .. Im not really surprised.

    • George Bush started the war FOR FINANCIAL REASONS. It was a financial transaction for he and his cronies! President Obama AND the Democrats have never supported the Iraq and Afghan invasions. President Obama knows why he’s sitting in the White House: BECAUSE THE AMERICAN PUBLIC HATES GEORGE BUSH & DICK CHENEY, THEIR ILLEGAL WARS, AND THEIR DEDICATION TO THE WEALTHY AMERICANS ONLY! President Obama knows what he needs to do. He’s doing it. The Bush Generals? Stupidest assholes ever! Warmongering assholes!

    • Every war is fought for political reasons. Bush let the Pentagon help run his office. The Commander-in-Chief is a CIVILIAN who should prevent our nation from being taken over by the military.
