Grayson is wonderful. I wish he was my Congressman.

I love the part when Grayson says sarcastically, “I know what you’re thinking…when did I buy a hotel chain?” (paraphrasing) and then he goes on to say the Federal Reserve bought it on our behalf.

The REICH-wing has already started their attacks Elena Kagan (from Sen. John Corny and “Boner” in the House who has NO say in confirmations!). Watch for underhanded remarks about her sexuality, since she has never married, and wears her hair short. From Huffington Post, Joan Garry said:

Regardless of whether she is gay, straight, in or out, she is, best I can figure, highly qualified to be a Supreme Court Justice. The more I read about her, the more strongly I feel that she is a first rate choice. Not because I am gay. Because I am an American who believes that the Supreme Court should be filled with the best and the brightest. And she is, without question, a member in good standing of that club.

While CNN and MSNBC covered the nomination of Kagan by President Obama, I switched to Faux News and instead, Bill Hemmer was being smirky about the House just voting for a $6 billion dollar rebate program for those who make their homes more energy efficient by adding more insulation, changing out drafty windows and doors. Hemmer called it “Cash for Caulking” saying it sounded like “Cash for Clunkers!” Fox cannot stand to cover NEWS coming from this White House.

The REICH are already out in full-hate mode over Obama’s choice of Elena Kagan for Supreme Court. They would even hate on him if he had selected Jesus H. Christ!

Personally, I was hoping for Diane Wood, the more liberal candidate of those who were vetted. Wood was valedictorian at her Houston high school, graduated from U. of Texas and U. of Texas Law School.

Kagan will be another New Yorker, along with Sotomayor and Ginsberg (Roberts was originally from Buffalo). Two more are from New Jersey (Alito and Scalia). So the New York metro area is heavily represented. Two are Californians (Breyer and Kennedy) with only Thomas from Georgia being the odd man out. Where are those from the great hinterlands between NYC and California? Also, with Stevens resignation, there are no longer any protestants on the court. Wood is protestant. Six now are Roman Catholics, and with Kagan’s confirmation, three (Breyer, Ginsburg, Kagan) will be Jewish. Secular humanists need not apply!

Mine is David Wu, and he’s good, but nobody holds a candle to Grayson. We love him from Portland to Portland. ;-)
