Closing GITMO and putting these Bush prisoners in a high security max prison in Illinois or any place else inside our country will make no difference on the strength of our country. It’s a reality of life in the 21st century, people should always be on the lookout for these types of events, but it’s just crazy to do like the media loves to do, turn it into a salacious, sensational, breaking news, the world is coming to an end, be afraid, be very afraid type of situation. The operative word here is FEAR. Fear allowed the bushco criminal regime to subvert that “god damned piece of paper.” Fear enabled the existence of TSA, one of the most inept agencies known to man. Fear allows the MIC to pick our pockets daily, as the beast must be fed in blood and gold constantly.
Fear is the absence of reason, and fear is the reason for the refusal to close Gitmo. The fear mongers from planet wingnuttia would have one believe that placing terror suspects in one of our Supermax prisons, or worse still, having them tried in a criminal court, would create a clear and present danger to our country and our way of life. Funny thing is, I can’t recall a single escape from one of these facilities.

KSM is brought to a Federal courtroom in NYC to stand trial. Somehow, miraculously, he escapes the extreme security measures in place. In a feat which would confound Jack Bauer, he hits the street, finds an unassuming pedestrian with an AK-47, sprays the area with thousands of bullets, and escapes into the Subway tunnel to set off a pre-placed suitcase nuke. What the hell, it could happen, right?
The only thing that frightens me more than seeing people substituting fear for reason, is the knowledge that we are being willfully manipulated using fear as the tool of choice.

I don’t for a minute believe the unemployment numbers under George Bush. I believe they were made up. Now that we have an honest president in the White House we see that the numbers are high….because they are the real numbers! George didn’t want Americans to know how many Americans had lost their jobs, had foreclosed on their homes, were filing bankruptcies and so on and so forth. His underlings protected him and his record throughout his presidency and Matalin knows this.
