Dylan came to MSNBC from CNBC. He knows very well that the insurance companies are GAMING THE SYSTEM. They’ve already said they’re going to go up on the price of consumers if health care reform passes or not. They are going to make sure they make money, use American taxpayers once again, and just like the oil companies….they’ll go up on their prices tri-fold if they have to to make a profit NOW just in case the big mean American government pulls the plug on their little game of hide and phuck over the American people! Reform, rules, and regulations is not something the too big to fail assholes like to hear! Spit. I hate them.
As Jim in Michigan pointed out, Dylan’s yelling was “despicable, shameful, rude and disrespectful of a sitting congresswoman”. It certainly was, but then again, don’t we expect anyone who sat in a chair in front of a camera over at CNBC to truly be a liar on behalf of the insurance industry and other Wall Street too big to fail traitorous American-haters? Only once in a while will Ratigan speak some truth to power, but it was obvious in the following video where he continued to yell at U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, that sometimes the truth is too hurtful for a traitorous junkie…
I stopped listening to Ratigan when he decided recently to start using the phrase, “Corporate Communism”, to give the impression that everything bad on Wall Street or with the corporations is the Left’s fault. Seriously, I phucking hate this man! He said this in response to the outrage he got online when he used this phrase: CLICK HERE. He’s a typical right winger! I hate him. Anyone got an extra rafter out there?

Hear, hear! (raising my coffee mug)
What an asshole he is, Jim! Thanks for pointing out to me what he did to Debbie. He’s a disgusting Pig.
No surprise, but Taylor Marsh sided with Dylan Rattigan and then bashed Paul Krugman. Taylor Marsh is quite out of her mind and has been since Hillary started losing during the election. It is amazing how hatred and rage can cloud people’s thought processes, blind them. I think I’m way more liberal than some of these folks, but I don’t let my anger interfere with reality as it presents itself. After 8 years of Bush and the brain washing of American by the media, I think Obama is playing his cards wisely, now if we had a good solid 65 dems in the senate, hell yes, let’s go nuts. But we don’t.
Did you even watch the video? This “reform” is a big fat gift to the insurance companies. That’s what Dylan was getting at. Yes, his behavior was rude, but his message was right on.
Hey Sami,
Yes I watched the video and I agree that the “current” bill seems to be a benefit to the insurance companies, but I believe even a public option will benefit the insurance companies, just not as much. But you know what has happened, it has changed. Did you see Howard Dean on Meet the Press today? Things have changed. A lot of people are operating on bad info, and not just republicans. It will be a while before the final bill is written, so most of the outrage is really wasted. And we also have to keep in mind that until democrats lose control of the house, which progressives are helping with at this point, but until that happens we have reconciliation, we can tack on amendments to future spending bills, we can change things, make it better. Dylan Ratigan has a very warped understanding of things, he has hitched his wagon to the angry populism and is milking it to his egotistical gain. He doesn’t ever let anyone express themselves, give an alternate view, expose the nuances, he talks over them, screams them down, bullies them and then cuts them off when he’s done filibustering. You may get off on this type of hysterics, but I would rather hear a thoughtful discussion based in reality, pragmatism and what is best for people.
Sami, did you happen to read my post? The insurance companies have already said that they are going to go up on their rates even if health care reform doesn’t pass. The fact that they’re profiting right now is not an indication they are thrilled with the health care bill and know that they will make bazillions more. Just like Jim Kramer of CNBC told us recently…it’s common for many on Wall Street to spread rumors (such as…hey! if health care reform passes we stand to make bazillions! buy stock now!) behind the scenes to jack up the price of a stock knowing full well it’s going to plummet.
I have no faith in Wall Street. I don’t trust them at all. I do trust Democrats (even if it’s only 51!) to make good decisions for the American people, however.
I’m with Sami on this one. You could tell by the look on the faces of Harry Reid and others at the press conf. that they were serving up a pig of a health care bill.
They always say the will improve things in the future, but look what the Dems. just did by voting down drug re-importation.
Here’s the Senate bill: http://democrats.senate.gov/reform/patient-protection-affordable-care-act.pdf
I think the look on their faces was probably exhaustion, they’ve been in the senate a long time and know how things work, unlike many in the general public. I’ve always been skeptical that they would pass anything very far to the left, especially with the conservadems in the senate now, it’s a different world with so many moderate dems in office. We won a majority by running more moderate candidates but it swings the pendulum to the right when it comes to compromising with them. It’s something we have to get used to, we can’t always have our leftist ideas implemented.
