Being a Muslim American citizen wouldn’t stop Barack Obama from running for the presidency. I’m saying that he wouldn’t have had a chance of winning as a faith practicing Muslim expecially in these times post 9/11.

Christianity, generally of a fundie nature sells if one is being groomed to run for the presidency which is surely the safest route.

I remember many years ago the fact that JFK was a Catholic caused doubts as to his chances of winning too.

When I viewed the vidclip what I witness is man with fire in the belly concerning Islam. No problem except he’s not narrating a “History Channel” episode.

I personally don’t have a problem with him being a Muslim and if that’s where his heart lies then let it be so, but if one is posturing as a Chrisitian simply to make his ascendancy to political office more efficacious, then it causes me concern.

The fact that he’s a Muslim in his heart could effect his decisions as “Commander in Chief” of our armed forces.

It’s all water over the dam anyway, since he made it to the Presidency. My wife and I voted for him, but must say we along with many others are disappointed with his performance to date.
