The next time Glenn Beck calls you a liberal-commie-Socialist-Pig-who-supports-spreading-the-wealth-to-the-poor-and-middle-class, thank him! And then tell him, “Well, at least I’m not a fascist right wing Mormon free market system wealthy guy preaching to the poor that they must also support the wealthy spreading the wealth between the wealthy!”.

Definition of ‘free market system’:

1 – equitable exchange and balance between sellers who supply goods and services and buyers who demand goods and services.

2 – A free market describes a market without economic intervention and regulation by government except to regulate against force or fraud. The terminology is used by economists and in popular culture. A free market requires protection of property rights, but no regulation, no subsidization, no single monetary system, and no governmental monopolies. It is the opposite of a controlled market, where the government regulates prices or how property is used.

Glenn Beck was fine with the banks taking all the risk under George Bush. He was fine with the banks taking their toxic assets, bundling them up, insuring them through AIG, and then AIG in turn creating hedgefunds and other lovely stuff so those in the Shadow Market could make bazillions of dollars. Yes, that’s right…..Beck is completely fine that you were sold a mortgage you couldn’t afford by a bank/mortgage company who didn’t care either, because he knew the free market has no rules or regulations and knows that the real money to be made is based on air! Yep. All based on zero pretty much!

Glenn Beck was especially insane today on his show. Not only did he make the case above (that not supporting the free market system means you’re stupid), but he went on to say that President Obama is wealthy! Yep, Obama is wealthy! The man made a couple million on the sale of 2 books. Sarah Palin has made $7 million on her book (hasn’t come out yet) and Glenn Beck MAKES $23,000,000/YEAR! Yep, Glenn Beck is the richest of these three, but can you imagine what the right wingers who were listening to Beck say this about President Obama were saying to themselves? I bet it went something like this, “Yeah, that black man in the White House is a hypocrite. Glenn Beck is one of us. He makes $27,650 a year and feeds his kids on that money just like we do. He also lives in a trailer, so it’s not fair that that black man in the White House is raising Beck’s taxes when Beck is just like the rest of us….working hard for very little money!”.

Seriously. I bet I’m not far off.
