A thousand points of light….

Well, it’s not surprising Howie Carr feels this way. He also laughs his ass off at the mothers of our nation who call 911 after they find their child hanging by their neck in the shed! Yes, oh yes, Howie is one of those ‘family values conservatives’ who thinks he’s holier than everyone else and believes that no child should be ‘brainwashed’ to stay in school. Say wha?  The horrors!

The funniest part about the whole thing? The voice of reason on this issue is coming from the wingnut Joe Scarborough of Morning Joe on MSNBC! Good gawd the end is near!

From Think Progress:

Earlier today, ThinkProgress noted that conservatives are freaking out over President Obama’s upcoming speech to schoolchildren about “persisting and succeeding in school,” claiming that it is actually aimed at political indoctrination. On MSNBC’s Morning Joe today, host Joe Scarborough ripped into the hyperventilating conservatives. “Seriously, why don’t we want the president of the United States, any president of the United States, delivering the message to kids: work hard, stay in school, succeed,” said Scarborough, adding, “get your ratings if you want, you’re just screwing your political party.”

The wingnuts believe President Obama is going to brainwash our kids to kill neocons. Hey, not a bad idea but we’re talking about President Obama here! Not George Bush who would have loved the chance to brainwash America’s kids to kill liberals & Muslims. Hell, on the morning of 9/11/01, George Bush was reading the book, “My Pet Goat”, and if Glenn Beck is right when he says we must look at the patterns to figure out someone’s truth, well, “My Pet Goat” could be interpreted as how George views children! See? The real good brainwashing happened after that moment if we’re all remember correctly. *cough*

Can you imagine if George H.W. Bush went to the schools of America to talk about his 1,000 POINTS OF LIGHT? Man! Glenn Beck and Howie Carr would be livid! They would be calling Bush Sr. a ’scary Commie Socialist Pig’! Oh wait. George H.W. Bush was a republican. Nevermind. Beck & Carr were most likely fine with Bush Sr. trying to get Americans to contribute to society by volunteering and helping others out, you know, forming his own ‘national security army’ to pass the peace for the common good of society. When President Obama wants the same thing for America, he’s committing treason and is a traitor. See? Nevermind! I forgot. Spit.

Kinda off topic. But President Obama sounds like he is scrapping a
public option, which PISSES me off. My prediction…If Obama
doesn’t include a public option in the health care reform bill he
will become a one term wonder as president and the republicans
second greatest fear, Hillary Clinton will become the democratic
presidential nominee in 2012 and defeat Jeb Bush in a battle of the
political family dynasty’s. Bill Clinton will become the first dude
and Sarah Palin will become a meth whore and hang out at dive bars
    in Wasilla with her daughters.

Well, I guess you wingnuts will be fine with President Obama telling the kids of our nation the importance of staying in school now. Good. We’re even. *rolling eyes* By the way, did the radio hosts of America call Bush Sr. a Nazi Pig for wanting to go into a classroom ? Huh? Nope!

Dubya even read a “goat story” to school children AFTER being told
that our nation was under attack in NYC and Washington, D.C.

I guess you approve of kids veiwing a video of stars saying I
pledge to serve Barack Obama? If it were the case that he was just
doing a speech about education that’s one thing but to have them
bringing politics into the mix and pledging to serve the president
whne it is his job to serve us and by us I mean all of us not just
his moveon supporters, and have them question the kids about how
Obama has inspired them is a little egotistic if you ask me.

(COMMENT BY CLIF OF WNI: Too bad Reagan was given a free pass by you feces eaters when he pushed the tax cuts for the rich while bankrupting the rest of the country meme when he addressed school kids.

Reich wing greed uber alles is OK but Obama telling kids to work hard and stay in school is verboten?

    Noted numbnuts)

Grant it was actually good hat bush kept a cool head. What would
you have him do get up in a shit of panic?

(COMMENT BY CLIF OF WNI: No shit for brains, just get up off his lazy ass and do his fucking job while the nation was under attack, instead of looking dumber then usual.)

(COMMENT BY KAY OF WNI: George Bush did stay cool on the morning of 9/11/01. He wasn’t surprised our nation was being attacked and he was just sitting there wondering how long he had to sit there before all the planes reached their intended target. He was very torn & confused! Spit.)

Maybe Bush was nonchalant because he ALREADY knew the attacks were
to happen, perhaps? He had been told a month earlier, while brush
clearing at the “ranch”, that Bin Laden wasto attack
    America
. Then finishing the “goat story”, he couldn’t get to
his bunker in Nebraska fast enough letting PRESIDENT Cheney be
    in control
. I remember my first words after the first plane hit
the WTC, “Well they did it again” remembering the first WTC attack
a decade earlier. However, Bush said that just before entering the
classroom, he had “watched” the first plane hit the first tower on
a TV set in the school (even though NO live broadcast video existed
for the first plane!). He then joking said, I used to fly myself
and said, “There’s one terrible pilot!”

Even though our TROLL lou HAS NOT READ the president’s
    speech
, only repeating the talking points of the hateful,
racist reich like Beck, Limbaugh, et al, he dutiful without
    thinking posts about it

I think it’s pretty safe to say that Americans fear republicans teaching our children anything. Republicans are the cause of our nation being in debt and they are the cause of the whole world hating us, so why the hell would we want any of them to talk to our children? Our children are not safe with republican presidents teaching them anything! We don’t want corrupt kids.

Grant, love the cartoon! Thanks. :-)

The main reason the reich-wing parents don’t want Obama to speak to
our classrooms is they don’t want their children seeing a black
man sitting behind a desk in the Oval Office
    . He might pull a
“Jesse Owens” on them! The elephant in the room for many of these
teabaggers, their incivility at townhall meetings, is racism, pure
and simple. I am sure that in some homes, the TV set is welded to
Fox meaning their kids don’t get to see Obama as presidential.
Gawd, cannot have our schools usurping the parents control over the
minds of their spawn! Maybe if Obama went to a nursery school and
read “The Pokey Little Puppy” to the kids while ignoring terrorists
blowing up New York they reich would be more accepting? Do like a
Republican and break out a copy of “My Pet Goat”, Mr. President and
reschedule the telecast for Sept 11 instead of the 8th.

While Obama is to tell public school kids to study hard, to stay in
school, it appears that our top Texas Republicans are favoring
playing “hookie” that day: Weighing in on Obama’s “indoctrination”
speech: Gov. Rick Perry: “I hope schools will provide a
suitable alternative for students not participating in this
    event
. I also hope that this is not an indication of the
federal government further encroaching on states’ authority over
    education.”
    [Austin American-Statesman, 9/3/09]. Yeah,
SECEDE!!! Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison: “I share the
concerns of many parents about the President addressing schools in
a way that leaves little choice for parents IF the speech
    includes a political agenda
. The original worksheet put out by
the Department of Education raised this possibility and
    caused a legitimate public outcry.”

Ah, ah, ah Grant…..”My Pet Goat” was how George Bush viewed the children, you know, as his pet goats and we all know damn well that if President Obama read the same book to the little children they would go wild with rage! Oh wait. That is what you said. Nevermind. LOL

Grant, Gov. Rick Perry will have the teachers teach the children how secession from America means you’re the most patriotic America-lover of all time! See? Staying in school would be evil propaganda by President Obama.
