Heard any good lies, deceits, or distortions coming out of republican mouths recently?

Man, I can’t keep up with them all!

clarenchthomasstripsearchinggirls

Yesterday I was listening to the Howie Carr’s show (he has a fill-in because he had hip surgery last week) and heard that Judge Sonia Sotomayer is one of those “sympathetic judges” who is an activist judge. Yes, that’s right…what the right wingers were leaving out is that the LAW is ALWAYS SYMPATHETIC TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER IN A LAWSUIT. The law is the ultimate sympathetic activist for crying out loud! And when it was pointed out by an ACTUAL educated caller on Carr’s show that ALL JUDGES, no matter what their party affiliation is or their ideology, can always find case law to back up both to get to their final decision in a case…the right wing host flipped out! Hey pal, this sort of thing happens all the time in this country.  If you don’t believe me, look at Chief Justice Roberts & Judge Alito who George Bush nominated for the SCOTUS! Do the republicans truly believe that Roberts & Alito would follow Roe v. Wade to the tee and go on record saying, “Roe v. Wade is the law and we can’t dispute this fact”? Nope! They’re going to search to the end of the earth for case law to dissent Roe v. Wade with! Doesn’t mean they’re going to ‘win’, of course, but what it does mean is that all judges to all cases have some kind of stance on the issue and will work for the ‘good of the people’ to change the law (which the SCOTUS doesn’t have the power to do…the Congress does) or set precedent until a new case comes up to question the validity and fairness of it.

The CIA is in the news again this week and all fingers are pointing to Dick Cheney once again. According to Liz Cheney and other Nazi-supporters, ole Dicky didn’t have to alert the Congress about his death squads because he was using this squad to kill and go after al-Qaida leaders with. Uh ha. Yeah, right. Okay, so if it’s such a legal program and right in line with the waronterrah, then why not mention it? Oh wait! I know why! Because Dickhead was using this squad to kill the likes of Benazir Bhutto, Bruce Ivins, the DC Madam, Paul Wellstone, Mike Connell, and also used this assassination squad to send out anthrax to liberal Americans after 9/11 to give the impression that The Base of the Republic Party (al-Qaida) attacked America because of our values! See? It all makes sense now. Spit.

The shitpile economy President Obama inherited is not getting any better. The republicans keep telling us that the only way to fix the economy is to cater to the rich people because their the ones who make the jobs. Oh really? Why aren’t they making jobs then if they’re that powerful, huh? Why are they firing American workers still and  sending jobs overseas in this downed economy? Don’t they want America to win? Funny how the republicans spout about ‘taxes & spending’, but yet, Reagan (who also raised taxes!)  had deficit spending throughout his 8 years as did George Bush, but according to the right wingers, these two presidency were the best in our history! During the Clinton years, he balanced the budget, he taxed Americans, he created millions of jobs, and we had the best 8 years in our history! Oh, but wait. We’ve got a black president now who is a Democrat. That means taxing and spending is illegal! See? Do the republicans support cutting the spending for the military (how many bombs do we really need when we have enough nuclear bombs to blow the Earth out of our corner of the Universe?) or for NASA? Nope! If American taxpayer money feeds one poor child in America, the republicans scream in horror!

It’s time to raise taxes on ANYONE OR ANY ENTITY THAT NETS $250,000 or MORE. Get it asswipes? Without revenue to our government, our government will fail. If you’re for our economy failing, then can I introduce to you Osama bin Laden who is on your side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Where is the republican’s healthcare plan again? Oh wait! They don’t have one! Nevermind. They hate America and Americans but go around telling us they do in the hopes we will believe them.

    Have you heard anything else come out of a Regressive’s mouths lately? Now that would be newsworthy…

    Everytime one of these guys open their mouths it’s usually to lie, but for a specific example, there’s Sarah’s oped-if you can call it that.

    Not exactly a distortion, but they spread them for the GOPers;

    They spread reich-wing disinfo, and lose money at it;

    Sinclair Broadcast Group spelled out Tuesday just how close it is to bankruptcy.

    Isn’t karma a funny god?

    BTW William, that rude pundit piece illustrates why the reich-wing GOPer squad has been shrinking recently, many people see them for what they have always been.

    I heard Glenn Beck saying today that he employs close to 45 people (23 are full-time) and said that they all have exceptional healthcare. Uh ha. Well, of course they do! They’ve got healthcare through the employer! What happens to those who are part-time? Do they get full benefits from Glenn? I highly doubt it! Zero health insurance to the part-timers!And then there’s the chance that some of these full-time employees might lose their job at some point. What will they do for healthcare then? If their unemployment benefit amount makes it too expensive to keep (after COBRA runs out) and they haven’t found a job yet, will they be able to afford insurance between jobs? Will they have to choose between eating or insurance? And what if they can afford it but as soon as they tell their new health insurance provider that they have a preexisting condition, what then? Oh that’s right! They’ll either be denied coverage or they’ll pay out of their ass anyway!

    A public option is needed. 76% of Americans want it. There is no reason why from birth to death Americans shouldn’t be covered whether they can afford it or not. And I am so sick of hearing that socialized healthcare means you will get ’socialized doctors’ as if these doctors will have completely different schooling & training as any other doctor! Jees. Idiots. With a public option, not much will change. It will be one more option for healthcare and that’s it. If the healthcare industry is afraid of this because they’ll have to go down on their rates to compete, then so be it!

    Clif, Sinclair Broadcasting owns Channel 13 WGME here in Maine and I haven’t tuned in since the day I learned this news because Sinclair was pro-Bush. Glad to hear they’re basically done! Good riddance.

    William, watching the republicans this week with Sotomayor was like watching the 8 years of George Bush: NOTHING BUT LIES, DECEITS, AND DISTORTIONS TO MAKE THE RIGHT WING FEEL BETTER ABOUT THEIR SCREWED UP IDEOLOGIES!

    Plus, this week also proves how the right wing views strong independent women: WE’RE THEIR MOMMIES AND THEY JUST WANT TO FEEL LIKE A BIG PERSON! They’re scared of us. Ha ha.

    Clif, just like Governor Sanford, all republicans define marriage as:

    One man, one woman, a mistress, and a handful of girlfriends!

    Anyone note the sophisticated language of the two New Haven firemen? Anyone writing that good should be in academia, or writing top-selling books. Wonder what reich-wing think tank wrote their “testimonies”?

    Ricci has talked about the many hurdles he had to jump over to pass the test, becoming like a MONK for months, deserting wife and family, to study. Most don’t spend that kind of time for any college final exam, or even state bar exam! And he is supposed to be dyslexic but had not problems READING his testimony.

    Grant, I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want someone who is dyslexic to be the Lieutenant! And I agree, there’s just something very fishy about Ricci, huh?

    grant just like the GOPer express wrote st sarah’s speeches so she wouldn’t sound like the stupid bimbo she really is, they tried to make the fire fighters spout their delusional talking points.
