   Just because the site was down, doesn’t mean it was “hacked”. Come on people, isn’t this just a bit paranoid for a site that is barely a blip on the left side of the blogosphere? I mean, the main reason I post here is for the small number of people that I can argue/discuss with.

   Blogs go down all the time, and most of the time it’s user error… Actual hacking even as simple as a DNS attack are typically not worth the effort for a blog such as this vs. the risk of getting caught. Just like the SUPPOSED hack by the Collins campaign, it doesn’t make any sense. This blog is self-debunking. Any posts that had any REAL revealing information could be easily dismissed by pointing the many of the “Truther” type posts here.

   Look at this post… If the SAME person that Kay claims hacked her blog is the same person that’s following her on Twitter, this would be a slam dunk case. Twitter, via a court order, could easily identify this person via their IP, but obviously wouldn’t with a made-up case. What is the evidence that this site has been hacked? What is the evidence that “this” person on Twitter claims to have hacked this site?

   This is CLASSIC paranoid delusion. A person raises their self-esteem by thinking that they are SO important that outside, powerful forces are out to get them. I’ve seen REAL cases of “cyber-stalking” with bloggers FAR bigger than Kay, and they don’t look like this.

   Get over it, Kay… or get some professional help. (and Grant, shame on you, YOU KNOW better and refuse to call her on some of her outrageous claims. You’re only enabling her paranoia. The same goes for you Clif… gage, heck, you just might be as paranoid as Kay is)

    Grant, even Keith Olbermann had a right wing neck drooling troll start a Twitter page with his name. As usual, the troll was making statements on this page in the hopes someone would believe they were actually coming out of the mouth of KO! The right wing trolls do this to me all the time. They go on their right wing sites using my screenname with it linked to my WNI email address and say disgusting stuff. Why do they do this? BECAUSE THEY’RE PARANOID & DELUSIONAL! THEY ARE SO AFRAID SOMEONE MIGHT LIKE WHAT I HAVE TO SAY THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO SPEND THEIR DAY TRASHING ME! *shaking head*

    I don’t think the trolls need professional help. THEY NEED TO KILL THEMSELVES. The End.

    Well I was just banned from AmericaBlog for going up against John Arivosis and his incredible self importance and daily histrionics regarding Obama and DOMA.

    Apparently I’m too ‘centrist’ for the small cadre of militant gays there who’d rather throw bombs than actually think for a second. But honestly, i think it was the part of the CBS interview where Arivosis started talking about “gay dollars” and my response that set him off…

    Nothing out of the ordinary as far as my posting style is concerned. It’s only when the subject gets turned to John Arivosis that suddenly contrary opinions need to be silenced. Plus I also commented on how anyone who ever disagrees with these few gay militants there, are immediately called homophobes or Republicans (or now “centrists” LOL!). That was actually the 1st posting deleted before the ban.

    I’d call for jihad against that place but I think John Arivosis is succeeding all on his own on turning off all his straight posters as well as his reasonable ones, gay or otherwise. A shame since it’s an otherwise great blog, it’s just that when it comes to gay issues, the guy loses all perspective. Hence almost no coverage on health care, Iran or Sotomayor anymore, just on how eeevil a homophobe Obama is and how every gesture he offers needs to be rebuffed and the Democrats need to “paaaay” (with his “gay dollars” apparently).

    I once mocked him there for him saying he was “too gay”, and I guess I was right to. He gives high camp and getting the vapors a bad name. So i guess I was already on his shit list anyways. LOL!

    Anyway, WhoMod you’re not telling us anything we don’t already know about John Aravosis! He shoots himself in the foot all the time. I agree with you that it’s very possible Barney Frank was given the inside game plan on this and it’s only a matter of time (within the next year or so I believe) before President Obama does good things with DADT and DOMA. In the meantime, ASSvosis will be calling Obama every name in the gawddamn gay book and will look like an utter fool in the end. He’ll have to eat his words and I will be so happy to see it. He did the same thing with Hillary. He loved her! Oh man! Didn’t he. Then she pissed him off and he started supporting Obama. He called those of who supported Kucinich as being nuts, but look who is right all the time? Yep! Dennis Kucinich and his fans! Oh, and John being an “ex-republican” is jumping in with the republicans now in hating Obama. He’s brainwashing the whole lot over there on his blog. They’ll be registering themselves as republicans before the next mid-term election! Trust me on this.

    Let me translate that for you Kay: Your site hasn’t been hacked by some nefarious “neo-con”, but by your own (and/or people you allow access, such as Clif) internet browsing techniques. Spammers are always looking for IP addresses to take over as spam authors. At some point in YOUR internet browsing, YOU picked up a virus/trojan horse that allowed the spammer to pick up your name and password to your blog. They then used this information to create a cgi/perl script in your blog to send out emails, (you know, the ones that are going to increase a given anatomical appendage you don’t possess or asking for your help in getting a large amount of money from Nigeria).

    This “hack”, which isn’t really a hack, is completely random based merely on your home computer’s security, much like the chances of you actually ANSWERING an ad like I discussed above.

    This virus probably STILL exists on the computer that is causing this problem, and could very well be the one that made you wrongly accuse the Collins campaign of hacking.

    BTW, do you see the POTENTIAL paranoia that I describe… YOU see the term “hacking” in the Hosting company’s email and you immediately see a conspiracy. If this was a REAL hacking, they’d either have to have found a backdoor into the Host’s site (EXTREMELY UNLIKELY) or discovered your user name and password through a brute force technique (ALSO EXTREMELY UNLIKELY).

    Twittering using another’s name is hardly the same thing as hacking; Twittering is going through the same growing pains that the www had in that people were/are taking copyrighted names and pretending to be those companies/celebrities.     You don’t get it, Kay. The virus is on YOUR computer (or another computer that either you use or someone’ computer that you allow access. I’ll bet at least one of these computers is infected and has NO virus protection.

    You have NO IDEA how difficult it is to hack a SPECIFIC site… it takes HUGE amounts of man hours and a lot of luck. Trust me NO ONE that reads or “fears” your blog has those kind of resources… You’re merely a victim of your own incompetence and your paranoia.

As a woman, I don’t care about or for those who drag their knuckles on the ground when they walk and who drool down their necks as they watch their favorite program, Fox News. As a mother, I care for the well-being of my son and I get lots of psychological threats by the trolls against him (these comments end up in the spam catcher because of key words they’ve used in the comment that puts it there and are not posted to the front page), but I understand full well that it’s the trolls who don’t care about children. They only care about zygotes and stem cells being able to finish college before being born. See? It’s all very simple.
