Former Senator Tom Daschle declined his nomination for the Health Secretary today after the right wingers of America put their foot down to remind all of us that taxes are good and must be paid….
Is it just me or is the right wing hypocrisy getting deeper by the day? I mean, really, President Obama has been leading our nation for two weeks under mainly George Bush’s policies, and suddenly…..the republicans are the TAX ADVOCATES!
Here’s a couple of neocons trying to figure out how to spell the word ‘taxes’…
Wait a minute. They don’t like taxes nor our tax system nor the idea of shelling out money for something they can hide from the government so they can pay less taxes! Hell, Joe the Plumber has TAX EVASION UNDER HIS BELT, but no word yet from the republicans on this. Oh wait a minute again….THE REPUBLICANS ARE GOING TO MAKE OLE JOE THEIR RIGHT WING CONSULTANT FROM NOW ON! Nevermind. I should have known.
Holy hypocritical right wing brain fart!
Of course, these same republicans could have used Daschle’s non-payment of his taxes (he did pay them and had realized his mistake last June) as a way to prove that our tax system is confusing and should be changed, you know, to advocate their position. But nope! They are on a crusade to make sure everyone pays their taxes while telling Americans that they don’t like today’s taxes, yesterday’s taxes, or future taxes!
So, the next time you hear a neocon say they don’t like taxes and don’t want new taxes, you just say back, “How can you say that!!! You demonstrated to all of us the importance of all Americans paying their taxes no matter how ridiculous it may be or not!”. And then remind them of Howie Carr of WRKO Radio who was reminded today on the Chump Line that he got $6,000 worth of eye surgery free from a company and he had better pay the income tax on it! See? We’re going to have fun with this. Bah hahahahahahaha!
And what about Sarah Palin? Remember the $150,000 in clothes and $110,000 in make-up she got from the Republican National Committee? Well, if she hasn’t returned the clothes & the make-up and has kept them, then she best be paying on THIS GIFT she received just like Tom Daschle! See? Again. It’s going to be lots of fun, but hey, THE REPUBLICANS LOVE PAYING THEIR TAXES NOW AND ARE AN ADVOCATE FOR IT TOO!
It’s so nice to see that the republiCONS have come around on this. Thanks republiCONS. Now, can you take a few minutes and tell your two nimrods above how to spell the word ‘taxes’? They’re looking awfully confused but were seen earlier yelling, “Taxes are good! Daschle must pay them! It’s the patriotic thing to do! You’re either with a tax or you’re against them!!!”, because they’re embarrassing themselves since they don’t know how to spell it. Thanks pals.

I’m off to a town hall meeting tonight. It’s a 2 hour one and should get very heated. Why? Well, let’s just say there are neocons in my town like the ones pictured above who don’t like the town’s subdivision laws and are trying to change them to suit themselves! Of course, our female town manager came in a year or two ago and cut off their lifeline to the town’s bank vault, so really, is it about the subdivision laws or are they pissed because they can no longer suck off the titty of the town? We’ll see tonight! Stay tuned! Last week I was in there to listen in on the meeting and after it one of the knuckle draggers came up to a friend of mine and said to her, “You’re a target now!” and I said, “Are you threatening her!!! What the hell is wrong with you!”. What an ass. When neocons don’t get their way they get violent. Should be an interesting night…..the male neocons going after the liberal females. Hey! I’m prepared!!!! I’ve had lots of practice, now haven’t I?

In a Democratic administration, people lose their jobs because they dont pay their taxes.
In a Republican administration, people dont lose their jobs even when they commit war crimes.
Daschle should have done like a lot of patriotic Republicans do, hide his money in offshore bank accounts. However, I am pleased he quickly removed himself from the nomination but that won’t shut up the Republicans who are still talking about items ALREADY REMOVED at their insistence in the stimulus bill (that they always call the “Democrat [sic] SPENDING bill”). What Republicans have complained mostly about amounts to only ONE PERCENT of the “Stimulus Bill” while they successfully sought that a THIRD of the money in the bill be from tax cuts but then turned around and voted 100% against the bill that they were given input in creating. They act like the WON the majority!
“Well, if she hasn’t returned the clothes & the make-up and has kept them, then she best be paying on THIS GIFT she received just like Tom Daschle!”
First of all they weren’t gifts, they were campaign expenses which is why they were returned after the election…. and if they WERE gifts it is the giver that must pay taxes over the annual amount of 13K a year, not the “givee”. Kay, as usual, spouting forceful opinions on subjects she knows nothing about.
BTW, it wasn’t the Republicans that killed Daschle’s nomination, it was the NY Times editorial that ultimately did him in.
“In a Democratic administration, people lose their jobs because they dont pay their taxes.”
REALLY?!!! So, I assume Geithner’s pink slip is in the mail, right?
Oh wow, so when Tom Daschle was a given a car and driver, he wasn’t actually responsible for the taxes, but the guy who gave him the gift was? Huh. Interesting.
Say wha? Republican Judd Gregg of New Hampshire’s former aide is connected to the Abramoff scandal and he took gifts in exchange for favors:

Let me guess! You and Obama will be fine with this, huh troll?
It’s only a gift, if the giver claims it’s a gift, otherwise it is considered income. As a senator, he was used to getting away with this stuff, as many of the clean government reforms that are supposed to prevent lobbyist “gifts”. Now, as a civilian, any compensation that has an implied quid pro quo must be treated as income.
I honestly think Daschle didn’t purposely cheat on his taxes… though his nonchalance at accepting compensation of such magnitude and assuming it wasn’t income is very telling. This is the problem with life long politicians both on the left and the right.
