Caribou Barbie-is-a-PAC-in

Caribou Barbie on the way to see her new PAC she just set up (all expenses for this trip will be paid for by the Alaskan people, of course /snark)…

Yep! Ole Sarah Palin is in vogue once again! She’s started her own Political Action Committee to raise funds for OTHER REPUBLICANS who are just like her. Yeah, yeah…this PAC is not for her 2012 run, okay? *wink* But let me guess….the first ‘other republicans’ to receive money from the Sarah PAC will be: Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston, Piper Palin etc etc etc. Wouldn’t surprise me.

I hope she runs in 2012. The Republicans are just dumb enough to nominate her too.

  2. Grant in Texas says:

I hope she runs in 2012 as she caused thinking Republicans to defect this past election. She can’t win with the radical fundie vote alone. I hope she chooses Rev. Ted Haggerd as her running mate!

So Sarah is back on the trail again well we have missed her highly intelligent interviews and a good laugh is always nice to have.
I was just wondering what the PAC stood for…..could it be Personal Assistant to Crap or even better Pretty Awful Conservatives!!!!

I wonder how many clothes and other stuff she’ll buy her kids out of her Sarah PAC? Tons I’m sure. I can see the accountant now, “Wha? $30,000 for rollerskating, the movies, and clothes from Wal-Mart?”

  5. kayinmaine says:

    LOL Grant!

Personal Assistant to Crap or even better Pretty Awful Conservatives

Exactly. Or maybe, “Pompous Angry Charlatan”?

  6. Grant in Texas says:

Maybe the love affair between Alaskans and Sarah is falling apart as she ignores her state to be a celebrity in the “lower 48″. In a poll taken earlier this month pitting Palin against Sen. Lisa Murkowski in the 2010 Senate primary, Alaskans preferred Murkowski by a difference of 58% to 31%.

Excellent, Grant. I’m sure Caribou Barbie doesn’t read the polls like her Master George Bush who didn’t either.

OT: In listening to the Obama stimulus package debate going on in congress on C-SPAN I keep hearing the democrats talking about creating jobs but it seems like the majority of jobs are in construction.

Question 1: How many out of work Americans will qualify for these newly created jobs? For example I just don’t see a former IT person being qualified to do carpenter work or operate heavy equipment nor do I see a former janitor or warehouse worker being qualified to apply for a steel worker job as a welder.

Question 2: Obviously greed has gotten us into this economic mess but say the government creates these projects to rebuild America’s roads and infrastructure, whose going to monitor the companies that win Federal and State contracts from hiring illegal immigrants (not trying to sound racist), or from paying low wages to workers so that that the company can make maximum profits?

I believe President Obama is going to do his best to turn our economy around and try to create new jobs but the reality is we as a country have lost so many jobs over seas, jobs that may never return due to the greed of corporations, that our unemployment and economic crisis may be worse then any of us ever imagined.

  9. Uncle Fester Lurks says:

One more thing. I have heard angry Americans call the Washington Journal on C-SPAN in the morning and ask why the government instead of bailing out banks, Wall Street, etc, just use that money and cut every American household a check for $20,000.00 each. Would this not stimulate the economy more then what our government has already done?

The thing that pisses me off is that whenever a economist or politician is asked that question on the Washington Journal, they always seem to avoid the question.

Question: Do you think our economy would be better stimulated if the government had bailed out main street instead of Wall Street by cutting a $20,000.00 check for every American household? (Of course everyone would have to purchase goods made in America which might be against any international treaties like NAFTA)

  10. kayinmaine says:

Well Uncle, it’s more than the actual construction being done (which will keep the steel/wood industry in business), meaning, job stimulus will ALSO come in the form of NEW workers having a job to spend money, the workers will spend money at local stores on their lunch breaks, more office workers will be needed etc. etc. etc. When large projects come to any town, the community always benefits. This is what the right wingers are refusing to acknowledge. We have to start somewhere and it needs to be the construction/home building industry. Right?

And I love your idea of a check for $20,000 for everyone! I wished George Bush had suggested it last year instead of saying he wanted the banking industry bailed out. He set the ball in motion.

  11. Uncle Fester Lurks says:

Kay, it’s good that you are seeing the big picture, is guess I didn’t really see things that way. Although again, being the thread skeptic, what happens when the construction jobs are finished?

I’m so @$%@ing tired of the republicans calling for tax cuts all the time and suddenly worried about spending and our children who will be paying for it in the future.

Where was all of the republican concern about wasteful spending when we were/are pumping billions of dollars into Iraq? How have the Bush tax cuts for the past eight years worked out for the economy and in job growth? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller, or should I say JFH, JFH, JFH?

I mentioned JFH because God knows he will pop in and defend St. Sarah the bimbo from Wasilla….tick, tock, tick, tock. :)

Kay, I’m not saying the government should have done that or that it would actually help stimulate the economy but it would sure give millions of Americans some relief. Like a caller said on CSPAN whats the difference, if they can bailout Wall Street with American tax dollars why not bailout out the American people also. Again it just pisses me off that politicians do not address this question. Obviously they all still believe in the trickle down from the top to the bottom effect.

Uncle, did you see Assvosis’ “I’m not getting a handout” rant today? Wow. Just wow. He goes after those who are getting a check or some financial help while saying at the same time that he goes to Paris/Greece, owns a condo in DC (not cheap), and thinks he should be the one to get some help! WTF. Is he insane or is his inner republiNEOCONism coming out instead? I’ve raised my son from the moment he breathed his first breath of air on wages that would make Assvosis laugh out loud about, but you know what? To keep my son housed, fed, and clothed, I made sacrifices. We are in a good spot today, but there were many times when I hardly had food in the cupboard. Did I complain? Nope! Would I have wanted an extra $300/600 back then? Yep! Do I need it today? It wouldn’t hurt!

FUCKING AMERICANS ARE HURTING IN THIS COUNTRY. THEY’VE LOST THEIR JOBS, THEY’VE LOST THEIR HOMES, THEY’RE GOING SUICIDAL ON THEIR FAMILIES BECAUSE THEY CAN’T BEAR THE HUMILIATION OF LOSING IT ALL, AND THEY NEED SOME FUCKING HELP!

Oh, but Mr. Assvosis Who Has A Wealthy Family in Greece, thinks he should be the one to get a $300 check! HE CAN FUCKING SCREW OFF!

[end rant, though, i may start back up]

  14. kayinmaine says:

The thing about the big construction jobs being finished is during the time the project was underway, Americans in the area were benefiting and by the time the job is over….more jobs have been created. A flower doesn’t grow from the flower down to the root. It grows up from the seed/soil. Jobs are the seed. George Bush didn’t do a damn thing when the flower started to die under his leadership. He intentionally let it dry out until it was lighter than a feather. We have to plant more seeds now. It’s going to take time to grow, but with nourishment and commitment it will!

  15. Grant in Texas says:

Infrastructure building will put many engineers, architects, and planners to work, also. If we would finally get some mass transit in place, Detroit could also make train cars, engines, and buses.

Just like Europe, I found every city “down under” had great mass transit. Houston’s Republican congresscritters have worked to tear up old railroads to replace them with bigger freeways like I-10 where tracks of the M-K-T Railroad were replaced with a total of 20 lanes of new freeway. This will only encourage more growth and development 30 miles from downtown around Katy, Texas and in a few more years, more lanes will be needed as traffic will once again be bumper-to-bumper. Nobody takes mass transit much here as it doesn’t exist. We just recently put in a bus shuttle (once an hour) from George H.W. Bush Airport the 20 miles to downtown that is cheaper than a $40 cab fare (or higher in a traffic jam).

In Sydney, Australia, there are trains constantly running from the airport to the Circular Quay near the Opera House where I caught my cruise ship. At the “Quay” there is a bus terminus, subway terminus, and nearby a monorail. I didn’t have to rent a car as mass transit was cheap, ran often, and went EVERYWHERE in the city! Only New York, Chicago, have decent mass transit in our nation even though San Francisco, Boston, and D.C. are doing better. But we still lag behind about any city or village in Europe.
