QUOTE OF THE DAY:
GLENN BECK AT CPAC 2010:
‘Hello, my name is the Republican Party, and I’ve got a problem. I’m addicted to spending and big government…I’m addicted to spending and I just don’t want to spend today.’

"If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” ~ John F. Kennedy, 1960

The neocons of the republic party do not like black people. Here’s a few of them in action…
Basically, the neocons of the republic party are uneducated hateful vile angry violent assholes. Yep….
They’re angry hateful racists and as we witnessed throughout President Obama’s campaign for the presidency, they made it perfectly clear that they didn’t like him. In fact, in the beginning of 2008, the Secret Service had to beef up their security of President Obama because the threats against his life increased, and then when Sarah Palin came into the race after John McCain picked her for his running mate, those who supported her started yelling out “Kill him!” at her rallies when she talked about Obama. It got to the point where the Secret Service had to publicly denounce Palin for not calming the waters against President Obama!
So, now the RNC has elected an African American to lead their party. I think it’s terrific, while at the same time, I fear for Michael Steele’s life. How long will it be before there’s an attempt on his life by the neck drooling racist neocons of the party? And what does it say about the mainly white RNC members who had Katon Dawson as their other pick in the end? Dawson lost to Steele by 22 votes, and at one point he was ahead of Steele by two points. Dawson is from South Carolina and he was a member of a whites-only-club for years. Seems to me that yesterday the RNC was kind of torn in which way to go, don’t you think? I’m pleased they picked Michael Steele to break through the party’s image, but how long will this image last? I mean, really, how many of the uneducated neocon fools know Steele didn’t back George Bush after Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast? Oh boy. I don’t think they’ll care (in fact knowing this might inflame the neocons even more!), because the neocons look at skin color only. Sad, but true.
All former presidents must have a hard time at first regrouping themselves to get back into private life when a new president is elected, don’t you think? I think so. Mentally, it’s got to be no different than being a soldier overseas and then coming back to our country and forced into citizen life. Can you imagine the ‘post traumatic stress syndrome’ former presidents must experience by going from the most powerful person on the planet and then realizing you have to wait in line like the rest of the schmucks of America?
Well, while George Bush is trying to deal with being a regular citizen, the Iraqis have not forgotten what George Bush wrought on their country and their people. One Iraqi has erected a sofa-sized shoe in honor of George….

The Iraqis are viewing this shoe artwork as a sense of pride! Good gawd. This is not going to be helpful to George Bush in dealing with any mental issues he may be experiencing right now. Oh boy. I suppose ole Georgie should be happy that it was NOT a sofa-sized shoe that was thrown at him by the Iraqi journalist back along! He wouldn’t have been able to duck. LOL Well, let’s hope Georgie hasn’t read this story about the Iraqis creating shoe artwork, okay? It could put him over the edge.

Say wha? I thought Sarah Palin hated the Elitists and was above it all, because she’s just a hockey mom from Alaska and spends her days chopping & piling wood for the long winters there? Nope! Not even close! Ole Caribou Barbie loves the Elitists after they gave her $150,000 for new clothes along with $110,000 in make-up and now she wants to cozy up to them now that she’s set up a PAC to take more of their free money. See?
Sarah truly wants us to believe she still has Alaskans close to her heart. Uh ha. Read on…
From the Anchorage Daily News:
Q. There’s been come concern your focus might be elsewhere after this fall. Was that part of what you talked about with legislators?
A. “No, because I’m sure legislators know that I’m the governor of Alaska and this is first and foremost on my mind and my agenda. Any travel or meeting or participation in anything that I will have to do with anything outside of Alaska will only be if it’s good for Alaska.”
Q. How are you juggling (national expectations with being governor)?
A. “It’s not a tough thing to juggle when I know and am grounded in the fact that I’m Alaska’s governor, that is first and foremost … I do receive, our office receives, hundreds if not thousands of requests to either speak or participate in something. We turn them down for the most part we say no, I’m not going to leave Alaska or I’ll rarely travel outside of Alaska. “Now a lot of people outside of Alaska don’t really understand the way that we operate up here. I’m reminded quite often and my administration is reminded often, well, every other governor travels around the nation. Look at what Arnold Schwarzenegger, for instance, is doing right now, he and (Pennsylvania Gov. Edward) Rendell and others who are traveling around the nation as proponents of their infrastructure package.
“And I say that, well, Alaska is a little bit different. We’re and I say this with all due respect, we’re a little bit more parochial here, which is good, it keeps you grounded. We want to make sure that our elected officials are serving the people who literally have elected them.”
What I would like to know from Caribou Barbie is….how many offers to meet with Alaskan groups/citizens did she refuse since this fall? I mean, really, Ms. Caribou appears to be more concerned with attending parties where the Elitists will be paying for her travels, so I’m sure traveling within the borders of Alaska is boooooooooooooooooooooring and just not up to her taste anymore! Yep, if you’re an Alaskan, Caribou Barbie sees you as an Eskimo rather than an American citizen, isn’t that right C. Barbie? Because why the hell would you want to travel 50 miles from the Governor’s mansion in any direction, when you can hop on an Elitist corporate jet to fly to DC to hang with all the Elitists you say you don’t like…..so you won’t have to eat at Wendy’s either to boot!
Let’s hope Sarah Palin runs in 2012, because as of right now, the neocons who support her are saying that President Obama is the most narcissist egotistical scary president in their lifetime. Well, with Sarah in the running, we’ll be able to say to those neocons, “Are you kidding me? Sarah just told a reporter to get her a Diet Coke on a silver platter and if he didn’t get it for her, she was going to have her husband make some phone calls to get rid of the reporter’s job, as well as, he was going to make a call to a hitman to off his family!”.
2012 is going to be fun. I can’t wait.
Dick Armey….

(picture)
And Rush Limbaugh…

(picture)
Holy cow! Washed up neocons are hideous!
Don’t believe me? Watch this video (found on Oxdown/FireDoglake tonight) and see Armey being a sexist Pig to Joan Walsh, a progressive:
And the neocons/republicans/American Taliban/GOP can’t understand why their party is despised by Americans which was proved in the last election. Ha. Bah hahahahahahaha! Ah hahahahahahahaha! Well, if you haven’t figured it out, dumbasses, watch the video over and over until the truth sinks in! When Armey was denying the truth, it was priceless, too, because he represents the same assholes who for years refused to hear the truth about George Bush, Dick Cheney, the Bush Regime, and those who supported all of them.

Not one republican voted in favor of this economic stimulus bill, but then again, when have the republicans ever been for stimulating the economy, helping Americans, or been in favor of getting things done? I mean, really, even Michelle Malkin is saying the republicans suck ass when it comes to this:
“Since when did it become the Republican Party’s top priority to “get things done?”
Malkin was right for once in her life! Well, isn’t that just special…
Okay, back to this economic stimulus bill. While the republicans are focused on not fixing the economy and who think doing nothing is better (which is what George Bush did and look where it got us) than doing anything at this point, can any of them explain why the market went up when President Obama was talking today about how the bill will most definitely pass today? Huh? The market is dying for some stimulation right now along with the rest of Americans, so I think it’s time for the republicans to continue to be the Do Nothingers, because it will be a sure win for the Democrats in 2010 and so forth! Hell, even Ass Limbo of right wing radio fame is saying he wants Obama to fail, because if Obama does well and the economy starts to get back on track, that means it will most likely hurt the republicans at election time. Well, he’s right! Shocking that Malkin & Limbaugh are right about something in the same week!
Here’s what the economic stimulus bill is made of (from Reuter’s, because I can’t seem to get into the House roll call vote tonight!):
- $358 billion in emergency spending on construction projects and other investments aimed at creating jobs. It also includes a boost in federal investment in education and an expansion of food aid programs.
- $275 billion in temporary tax cuts for workers, tax incentives to produce renewable energy and breaks for builders and other companies that would be allowed to write off current losses against five previous tax years.
- $48 billion to help unemployed people keep their health insurance and to invest in health information technology.
- $46 billion for expanded unemployment benefits and aid to needy families and child support.
- $100 billion that includes money to improve broadband Internet access, invest more in clean energy and energy efficiency. It also has about $87 billion to help states pay increasing Medicaid health insurance costs for the poor.
I can assure you that no where in the bill is the word, “ACORN”, mentioned. The right wingers are just making shit up to keep the wave of made-up anger against President Obama going!
This bill is going to stimulate the economy for those who need it. For those who are single, with no children, and who have wealthy families while themselves are making over $75,000/year and who go to Europe whenever they feel like it, this bill isn’t gonna help ya, because……you don’t need the help! Why the hell should our money go to those in the top tier of our society? We tried that for 8 years and look where it got us? A LOVELY ECONOMIC RECESSION HANGING ON THE EDGE OF A FULL-FLEDGED DEPRESSION!
The neocon republicans in the House & Senate are forgetting that Reagan was the beginning of our country’s economic failure and ole George Bush was the one who drove the final nail in the coffin. Had ole George gone after the oil companies last winter when the price of heating oil went up to $4/gallon, small businesses may have been able to survive! But nope. He didn’t. In fact, the only stimulating and helping George did was for those who didn’t need the help.
DOING SOMETHING TODAY IS BETTER THAN DOING NOTHING AT ALL.
Now, the next move President Obama should make is to bring our troops home from Iraq to save the American taxpayer another $2 BILLION A MONTH. That right there would stimulate a lot!
Caribou Barbie on the way to see her new PAC she just set up (all expenses for this trip will be paid for by the Alaskan people, of course /snark)…

Yep! Ole Sarah Palin is in vogue once again! She’s started her own Political Action Committee to raise funds for OTHER REPUBLICANS who are just like her. Yeah, yeah…this PAC is not for her 2012 run, okay? *wink* But let me guess….the first ‘other republicans’ to receive money from the Sarah PAC will be: Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston, Piper Palin etc etc etc. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Last year, AIG announced it would not give bonuses out after the US taxpayer bailed this company out, but it appears AIG hasn’t listened to it’s own advice. They’re about to give out $1,000,000 to each of the 400 employees who worked in the very unit of the company that collapsed the company last year.
From Bloomberg (emphasis mine):
About 400 workers at New York-based AIG’s financial products unit may get $450 million in two installments, said two people familiar with the situation who declined to be identified because the plan is confidential. That is in addition to about $619 million in retention pay going to top executives and employees at subsidiaries including life insurance.
[]
“I was extremely disappointed — but not surprised — to learn that AIG will be awarding bonuses to the very division that drove the company into the ground,” said Representative Elijah Cummings, a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, in an e-mail. AIG shouldn’t be awarding “millions of unmerited dollars to employees while at the same time begging the U.S. government for financial life support.”
Nice huh? Just like under the Bush Regime, awards are given out to those who don’t deserve it and who are the cause of our current financial situation. As far as I’m concerned, the employees at AIG who are getting million dollar bonuses should be in jail for collapsing the company through illegal means (think credit default swaps and former Enron Senator & John McCain supporter, Phil Gramm!) and then benefiting from it! I suppose I should feel better knowing that the CEO of Merrill Lynch & Bank of America have been subpoenaed concerning bonuses. Well, for some reason, I don’t. If we’re going to regulate Wall Street, then we need to start with capping all CEO and other upper management’s pay. I don’t think any of them should get more than a million a year and I think their bonuses should be taken away until the country is back on track. And when it gets back on track? Cap their bonuses too!
Speaking of credit default swaps (CDS) and former Enron Senator Phil Gramm, last Friday I watched him at a live meeting (on C-SPAN) talking about credit default swaps. According to Gramm, CDS were the best thing in saving our economy! Oh yes, ole Gramm can’t see the forest through the trees and has convinced himself that legalizing illegal regulations should be applauded! Oh, I’m sure Gramm will get some kind of award at some point from the market’s big whigs if he hasn’t already. One angry citizen in the audience basically said to Gramm (paraphrasing), “How dare you! You and your CDS are the reason why our economy is so messed up right now!”. It was beautiful to watch. We need to hold these assholes accountable and maybe we should start with calling AIG to find out the names of the 400 employees who will be receiving STOLEN MONEY FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FOR THEIR ROLE IN COLLAPSING THE COMPANY:

Huh. That’s a little odd, isn’t it? Not only has Mike McConnell resigned his position, but he’s already taken his job back at Booz Allen Hamilton as the Senior VP of national security! Wow. That was quick. You couldn’t wait until your successor was named? Something you need to tell us, Mike? I find it very interesting that George H.W. Bush’s company, the Carlyle Group, (the bin Ladens and the Saudi royals were also part of this group) bought a large stake in Booz Allen Hamilton last year…
From the Wall Street Journal online (emphasis mine):
During his previous stint at Booz Allen, Mr. McConnell earned a reputation as a strong revenue generator who had access to senior officials at the Pentagon and intelligence agencies. When he accepted the director of national intelligence job in 2007, he gave up his $2 million salary for one that was 10% of that amount, and he divested himself of an estimated $1 million to $5 million in company stock.
People familiar with Mr. McConnell’s job discussions said his work would be focused less on tracking specific contracts than on developing business goals and plans for the firm. He’s returning to a different company from the one he left. The well-connected private equity firm Carlyle Group, where former President George H.W. Bush once served as an adviser, bought a majority stake in Booz Allen last year.
Is it just me or are the connections in DC incestuous at times? Jees. And to think it was just recently Admiral Dennis Blair, who is President Obama’s nomination to fill McConnell’s seat (and whose past has cringe moments), said recently at his hearing that the DNI using contractors to do their work is a ’serious problem’. Oh boy. A serious problem is right!
Maybe McConnell’s quick resignation has to do with Rep. John Conyers sending out subpoenas to Bush Regime members, such as Karl Rove? Hey, could be. McConnell was the one who made it perfectly clear that waterboarding is torture only if it’s done to him. Done to anyone else, apparently, is okay and legal. See? Maybe Mike was thinking he might want to get out of dodge, since Eric Holder might be confirmed as the new Attorney General of the United States and since Holder (who is getting the backing of Arlen Spector!) believes waterboarding is torture no matter who it’s done to? Even though Admiral Blair refused to say waterboarding is torture, there are many online who believe he HAD to say this, because any evidence of torture or illegal activity he finds upon his arrival at the DNI committed by the previous administration could be used against the Bush Regime. Admitting it’s torture today could get his own butt in trouble as the incoming Director with all the Regime evidence under his leadership.
McConnell was bound to leave at some point, of course, but his abrupt resignation is raising a few eyebrows. What’s your opinion on his resignation?
As usual, the right wing Evangelicals are using abortion as a wedge issue once again, because President Obama has lifted the ban on Federal funding for international groups/programs that talk about or perform abortions. Pastor John Hagee has written an open letter to President Obama and near the end of his letter, he states this:
On social issues, we have many obvious areas of disagreement, including the President’s recent decision to lift the ban on federal funding for international organizations promoting or performing abortion. In the coming years, President Obama will no doubt pursue policies with which we disagree, and we will make our dissent known. I’m sure the president would expect nothing less. But we must always dissent with civility and respect – the same civility and respect that he has thus far shown to us. If we feel compelled to oppose our new president’s policies, we must always be a loyal opposition.
President Obama has made it perfectly clear that his focus will not be on abortions, but rather, he will be focused on preventing pregnancies which means he’s going to push for more use of birth control. If what Pastor Hagee is saying is true–that he and his worshipers will use civility and respect when discussing this issue–then we can expect them to be open to the use of contraceptives, educating our young people early in their lives to take responsibility for their bodies, and they will be open to the discussion that abstinence isn’t fool proof, since we’re dealing with human beings here!
Speaking of abstinence…
I was watching the Duggar family’s recent show called, “A Very Duggar Wedding”, in which their older son Josh married his love, Anna. If you’re not familiar with the Duggar family, let’s just say they are Baptists who do not believe in contraception. Mrs. Duggar, aka Michelle, just had her 18th baby at the age of 42 and Michelle and her husband (Jim Bob) believe that God gives them their children and that they have no control over any of it. Anyway, this family on the surface is a pretty good family, because despite their size, the family is very strong and the kids all seemed loved and happy. But! When it comes to sexuality education, oh boy…
The words of Josh & Anna Duggar (emphasis mine):
We look forward to the blessing of children as stated in the Psalms, “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” (Psalms 127:3) Having both been raised in large families, we have agreed to trust God in the area of children and the size of it. Our goal as we enter parenthood is to build a Godly heritage and to train our children to love God and others and that our investment in their lives will make a lasting positive impact in the world for Jesus Christ!
While watching the wedding episode the other night, I was appalled to find out Jim Bob Duggar had never had a discussion about the ‘birds and the bees’ with his son Josh until the night of the wedding! I’m serious. There was Jim Bob telling his son Josh to follow him into a room at the church, so they could discuss this subject, and then he proceeded to give his son a videotape and a book about sex! What the hell. That was the length of their discussion on sex: “here son, watch this video, read this book, and remember to make sure your wife is happy”. I know this family is all about God being their Master Controller, but not having ANY discussion about sex prior the marriage of one of your children just seemed so….awful and weird. I came away from this episode realizing that there are more families out there like the Duggars, who don’t talk about sex, who don’t talk about birth control, and who leave their kids in the dark about the whole subject. Granted, the Duggars don’t have any unwed young teenage girls in their family, but man! They might if they don’t start having some discussions on how the body works! And we wonder why Bristol Palin got pregnant at such a young age! Bristol was raised on the teaching of abstinence, but yet, there she was getting pregnant anyways!
Anyway, if Pastor Hagee is serious about being civil and respectful in discussing abortion, then he needs to be open to birth control which prevents an unwanted pregnancy in the first place. By not supporting birth control, then you can’t tell any woman or girl that she does not have a right to make choices for herself! We are the adults and we need to be the ones who educate our children to be responsible from the get go. The Duggars are unusual, though, because Josh & Anna abstained from sex (and kissing! Yep, they held hands throughout their courtship) before their marriage. Honestly, I think they’re a rarity in proving abstinence works. Let’s hope Pastor Hagee understands this is rare and that birth control is a must in our day and age.

Spits of rage…
