John McCain is going to win on Tuesday because of the Bradley Effect?

This is just a bunch of bullshit. If the Bradley Effect was really in play, then in my very white state of Maine on Caucus Day in February of this year, Hillary Clinton would have won over Barack Obama! But that didn’t happen. Nope. Forty five thousand mainly white Democrats came out to vote for Barack and he won it almost 60-40% over Hillary. As of right now, the early votes being cast here in Maine are favoring heavily for Democrats….yes….for Barack!
As a nation, we have progressed and we feel very good about it too. Of course, there are racists in our country for sure, but a good portion of America is not terrified of blacks (or mulattos as Barack is!) as some are. As pointed out by Tim Russert’s son, Luke, this past summer, the youth of America…especially…is color blind. They go to diverse schools in this country and whites, blacks, Latinos, etc. commingle with each other and have no problem casting their vote for Barack Obama! Here’s Luke talking about it…
Thank you Luke! You are so right. A good portion of the youth in our country, as well as, a mature America today (those over 35 years of age)….the Bradley Effect is not in play this year no matter how many times Joe Scarborough or the other wingers say it is!
All the old ladies I spoke to over the summer phone-banking for the Democrats were enthusiastic for Barack Obama! Don’t let the right wing pundits fool ya!
Honestly, I think this year the “McCain Effect” is in play, meaning, when polled, the republicans of this country will say ‘John McCain’, because they don’t want to appear disloyal to McCain or their party, but when it’s time to pull the curtain behind him or her to cast their vote, they will be voting for Barack Obama. I’m serious. This is the feeling I’m getting. The last time I did some phone-banking with my local Democrats, I noticed a couple of the ‘unaffiliated’ voters I talked to had a hard time spitting out John McCain’s name. These kinds of voters honestly will be voting for Barack Obama and the right wingers of America know it! Republicans are loyal to their party first, so saying out loud they’ll be voting for the mulatto Democrat this year, is tough for them! Oh, but they will be on election day.
A McCain/Palin win (or steal) on election day will be considered an act of war by the planet. We can’t afford this to happen and if we have to wait in line for 10 hours to cast our vote (bring a lunch please! lots of water too! LOL) for Barack Obama on election day or in early voting, then we will! Go America go!
After 8 years of George Bush & Dick Cheney being in the White House, there is no amount of Sarah Palins to bring a republican landslide this year, no matter how hard the republicans cry there is a chance this will happen! Americans are smart. Even republicans from the past 8 years are frightened at the idea of a McCain/Palin win.

So sorry to hear about Sen Obama’s Grandmother…my heart and prayers go out to him and all his family.
Such a shame that she will not see her Grandson, hopefully become President tomorrow.
What a wondeful job she did to raise such fine young man and
I’m sure she was really very proud of him.
We are very grateful to her also for allowing us to make this important moment in history by naming her Grandson the President of the United States.
God Bless Sen Obama and his family.

Thank you, Not Collins! I had a similar conversation today with a woman in Freeport who said there was no way in hell she could vote for Collins, because Collins is a liar (she was talking about Allen’s newest ad that has her saying she’d only run for 2 terms to let someone else to have a chance) and a republican. Loved it! She also said Tom is a better person for not resorting to the Karl Rove tactics Collins as did.
We all want an Allen win, but if he doesn’t, I hope tomorrow he at least gives her a run for her money! Just knowing she’s nervous makes me happy. Her right wing Karl Rove cockiness does not bode well with Mainers no matter if she wins or not!
Carol, it’s so sad his grandmother could not witness his historic day, but something tells me (and I’m basing it on my own relationship I had with my 93 year old grandmother), she already told him how proud she is of him. I bet she also winked at him and called him “Mr. President”. My grandmother gave all of us kids the same kind of confidence and unfaltering love!
Our hearts to go out to the Obama family for sure.
