Last night when the footage of Barack Obama’s warm welcome from our soldiers in Kuwait was aired, my friend Janet (she’s ex-Navy) said (paraphrasing), “Wow! Normally our soldiers are more composed than that”. Barack Obama is a breath of fresh air to our nation and to our soldiers. After 8 years of feeling isolated from the rest of the world and feeling like our nation is more hated now than anytime in our history, Barack Obama will be the ONLY ONE to bridge the gap with the rest of the world and will put our nation back on track. I think our soldiers realize this too. It’s very evident to me. That’s not to say some of our soldiers aren’t completely against Barack Obama becoming their Commander-in-Chief. If you think about it, many soldiers over the last 8 years haven’t supported George Bush either, but they continue to do the job that is asked of them regardless of who is in the White House.
Yesterday when I was canvassing neighborhoods with my fellow Democrats, I talked with this one woman who didn’t like either Barack Obama or John McCain. She truly was on the fence. I asked her what it was about Barack Obama that is making her not want to vote for him, and she said, “Well, for one thing….he’s a Muslim”. I laughed and then told her that that is not true and then explained how he was born in Hawaii, his white mother was Christian, and his father who was Kenyan was Muslim, but he died when Barack was young. I explained to her that Barack was raised by his Christian mother. She said, “Yeah, but he went to a Muslim school overseas!”, and without rolling my eyes and making it obvious that I was thinking ‘what a retard!’ this woman was, I said to her, “Ma’am, our public schools in America are no different than the school Barack Obama went to overseas. The school he went to included Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, and other religions”.
This woman didn’t care to listen or to absorb my answers to her. She believes the bullshit being spun about Barack Obama and those are the people who support George Bush & Dick Cheney with all their hearts. I left her home thinking she is a rarity today. Yep, and we can be thankful for that!

Obama has been calling for a troop withdrawal from Iraq, a country which did nothing to us, and a re-deployment to Afghanistan, where we should never have left the job unfinished. As for Obama being a coward and McCain being a brave man for announcing his arrival in Iraq…um you seem to forget that McCain was selling his time in Iraq as just him and others walking freely, doing some shopping, he neglected to tell America that he was being protected by over 100 US troops and 5 blackhawk helicopters….brave?!?….no but the word liar comes to mind.
As for McCain being called a war hero…what exactly did he do that was heroic? Did he single handedly get a platoon of North Vietnamese to surrender? Did he jump on a grenade to save his fellow soldiers? No, he got shot down and spent 5 years as a POW while his fellow soldiers were dying. Now serving his country, yes McCain did that, being a survivor while a POW yes he was that, being a war hero…not likely. Look up the story about Sgt. York, now that he was a war hero. I guess my brother who served in Vietnam is a war hero too…oops he wasn’t a POW so maybe not.

GTP an great General does what General Patton did when he found out the Germans had broken through allied lines in Dec 1944, and order a turn from their frontal attack in France to race about 100 miles and relieve the sieged troops at Bastonge, and defeat the German attack. (even before Eisenhower ordered him to)
Or a great general does what Gen Grant did in the late 1864 and early 1865, out fight a known great general until that general had to SURRENDER, like Lee did at Appomattox. A great general defeats traitors to the US Constitution, and Grant did just that.
A great general also knows when to see a war is NOT militarily winnable so he finds a way to END that war, like the CINC of the Western front in WW2 did in Korea. Eisenhower figured out how to beat the Nazis in North Africa, take Sicily set up attacks on Italy them invade France and fight into the Heart of Nazi Germany. In Korea he decided NOT to fight 100 years, which makes me think he wouldn’t waste hundreds of thousands of US soldiers lives fighting in Iraq for the next 100 years. (partly because gutless pansy’s like the chicken hawks exactly like you hide in mommy’s basement censoring every truth off your blog you can’t debate with facts and rational arguments).
Too bad Gen Petraeus LACKS the signs of Grant in defeating the traitors to the constitution or Eisenhower in seeing just how large a quagmire Iraq is, because even Patton couldn’t win there any more then Winston Churchill could right after WW1.

France, with a population of 60 lakh Muslims, has 1300 mosques and Islamic
centers in addition to around 600 Islamic organizations. The Muslims in
France have a 24-hour radio channel. The estimated population of Muslims in
France would reach around 80 lakh during the next 15 years.
Italy has a population of 10 lakh Muslims with 450 mosques and Islamic
centers. According to reputed Italian magazine The Journal, in next 200
years the European society would almost entirely accept Islam as the only
religion.
Germany has a Muslim population of 40 lakh with 1400 mosques and Islamic
centers. The Muslim population ration in Germany is around 4 per cent. In
Canada the conversion rate to Islam has been almost 130 percent between 1991
and 2001. In Switzerland around 6000 Christians converted to Islam after
9/11.
According to San Diego University researcher Jan Wax, by 2020, out of every
four persons in Europe, one would be a Muslim. The ratio of Muslim youth
(between 45 and 50% of the Muslims) to EU youth is between 16 and 20%. In
other words, in a few years Muslims will constitute 16 to 20% of the
European workforce, and could therefore influence policies and
decision-making.
Albania has proportionally the largest Muslim population in all of Europe,
with the exception of Turkey, which is situated at the crossroads of Europe
and Asia. According to the most recent census results, Albania’s Muslim
population is estimated at 2.2 million, or 70% of the country’s total
population. Although Albania was officially an atheist society during the
Communist period, and all public expression of religious beliefs was banned,
today most Albanians are practicing Muslims.
Following Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina has proportionally the second largest
Muslim population in Europe, with 40% of Bosnians, or 1.5 million people,
who practice Islam.
In Western Europe, France is followed by the Netherlands, which has over
