Besides having two current Senators (LIEberman & Lindsey Graham) helping him with his Satanic Messages as he rides across America in his Straight Lobby Talk Express, John McCain also has former Senator Phil Gramm helping with his campaign and wasn’t it a little jarring to learn last night on Keith Olbermann’s show, Countdown, that ole Phily-Baby has been behind the scenes lobbying against regulating the banks in the housing/mortagage crisis meltdown and how ole Johnny feels the same way and has been using Gramm’s words in his speeches to pass the message on!
“Countdown with Keith Olbermann†reported Tuesday night that lobbying disclosure forms, filed by the giant Swiss bank UBS, list McCain’s campaign co-chair, former Texas Sen. Phil Gramm, as a lobbyist dealing specifically with legislation regarding the mortgage crisis as recently as Dec. 31, 2007.

Gramm joined the bank in 2002 and had registered as a lobbyist by 2004. UBS filed paperwork deregistering Gramm on April 18 of this year. Gramm continues to serve as a UBS vice chairman.

News of Gramm’s involvement as a paid advocate for the banking industry, simultaneous with his unpaid work on McCain’s economic policies, comes as McCain’s campaign continues to reel from the purge of four other lobbyists. Two weeks ago, McCain banned lobbyists from advising him on the same subjects covered by their lobbying work.

Utah Phillips yesterday on Democracy Now said,” You have to remember the people in Washington now are not democrats or republicans…they are corporate fascists….this is a time for all democrats to come together and vote in unity for a democrat.” although he did not vote…said “Democrats were our only chance to take back the govt”… I wish Tom Allen was not taking the position of too late to impeach. It used to be “There is too much to do.” Since bush vetoes every bill that is not war funding…they had to come up with a new mantra. Can’t vote for him.
High gas prices are taking our country down fast. People are hungry and businesses relying on gas are going under. The anti trust legislation just passed in the House should have been directed at the oil companies and not OPEC.

Renzi’s recently deceased father was a powerful defense contractor and friend of Brent Wilkes, the Bush Pioneer and defense contractor (translation: war profiteer) who was sentenced to 12 years in prison this week: He is the mastermind behind the largest Congressional bribery scandal in history – the Duke Cunningham case. Wilkes showered Cunningham with fancy travel, expensive meals, cash bribes and prostitutes.
Each Bush Pioneer was “asked” to “donate” a minimum of $100,000 to the Bush ‘04 campaign.
Rick Renzi and Brent Wilkes are both friends of Mercer Reynolds, III, the top money wrangler for Bush ‘04 who was appointed last week as the top money wrangler for McCain ‘08.
Washington is where the corrupting power of money reigns supreme.
