Will the rebate check in May stimulate our economy or just the oil industry’s?

(Grant in Houston sent this cartoon to me. Thought it was hysterical! Thanks Grant. :-) )

How will you spend yours if you get one?

Coincidence you should ask this question, Kay. I just got through listening to this about Exxon Mobile, and was thinking how much I long for someone, somewhere to get really serious about a really feasible alternative fuel so we could all watch the oil industry gag and die.

Kay, please ask your spam catcher why she hates me. She ate another one of my posts. What am I doing wrong?!

    Oh fug it!

Sorry Gage! I can’t stand my spam catcher! *bashing it with a tire iron*

Yesterday I was going to go and see Jim Hightower at one of Chellie Pingree’s fundraisers but decided not to go. Love him though! He is always spot on, huh?

  5. actually it will stimulate China’s economy.

Bush is going to borrow the money for this “stimulus” from China, then people will go buy stuff made in China.

  6. gage says:

Yep, Chris. Again, the other day, I was saying to a friend, “You know, bush has been a really great president…

    …for China.”

If…I were getting a rebate check I’d probably give it to my mom or brother who need the money more than I do. But since I don’t participate in the federal extortion plan (pay taxes) I won’t be getting one.

Mine’s already spent… we’ll be putting it aside for next winter’s heating oil bills.

It’ll probably pay for about a month by then.

    Thanks, George.
