Hey, if you’re a WHITE MAN and you show up to a Halloween party with your face painted black, wearing prison garb, and you tell everyone that your costume is depicting an escaped prisoner, then you will get a high-five from Sen. Susan Collins. Oh yes! Hell, she’ll even make sure the Department Head in charge of such racist Halloween parties advances in our government!

WASHINGTON – Just when it appeared Julie Myers had cleared every hurdle in her quest to officially become the nation’s top immigration official, a dreadlocked wig and a prisoner’s outfit could cost her the job.

Myers, director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ran into trouble earlier this month after she and two other agency managers gave the “most original” costume award to a white employee who came to the agency’s Halloween party dressed as an escaped prisoner with dreadlocks and darkened skin.

The incident drew complaints of racial insensitivity and an apology from Myers. It also cast doubt on whether she’ll get a confirmation vote before the end of the year, when her original appointment expires.

Just so you know, Suzie-Q, the following is not a racist Halloween costume. It’s the depiction of GOP Family Values, you know, showing how hypocritical you, Larry Craig (hence the diaper!), and the rest of the GOP are!

I suppose when you think about it, it’s not surprising Sen. Susan Collins & Joe Lieberman would continue to back Julie Myers for being in charge of our Immigration & Customs Enforcement. Hell, these two have worked together over the years to protect George Bush & Dick Cheney from any accountability, so when Georgie has the daughter of one of his Generals running an immigration department and who has zippo experience in the field and who thinks it’s hysterical when a WHITE staff member dresses up as a black man with dreadlocks and says he’s going as an escapee, well……Suzie-Q & Joe scream with laughter and continue to give a high-five to Georgie and his cronies! Again, it’s not surprising that these two continue to support everything THAT IS WRONG.
The employee was placed on administrative leave and Myers issued a formal apology to all ICE employees two days after the episode. She also reached out to a black employees group to express her regrets. The group, the National Association of African-Americans in the Department of Homeland Security, sent a letter to Reid this week praising Myers’ commitment to black employees.
LOL Uh huh. The Department of Homeland Security is so good to it’s black employees, these employees had to form their own group! Who wants to bet Chertoff (Skeletor) called these black employees and said, “You make a big deal out of this costume and you’re gonna find yourself in a ditch somewhere with a noose tied around your neck, you hear me?!!!!!”? It wouldn’t surprise me. I’m sure Julie Myers said the same thing. Spit.
