QUOTE OF THE DAY:

<br />

GLENN BECK AT CPAC 2010: ‘Hello, my name is the Republican Party, and I’ve got a problem. I’m addicted to spending and big government…I’m addicted to spending and I just don’t want to spend today.’ (CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO QUOTE)

"If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a “Liberal.” ~ John F. Kennedy, 1960

Did you know one of our US Naval buildings is shaped like a Nazi swastika?

I didn’t either.

(hat tip to BillJPA for sending me this article!)

Here it is…

Nice. *rolling eyes* I bet the current GOP neo-Nazis across the nation will applaud this and will find umpteen million reasons why it’s shaped like this and will spin it and blame the shape of it on Nancy Pelosi too.

Sunday backyard blogging…

Last night I went out with my neighbor Louise again along with her daughter and her friends (two of which were a gay couple who were an absolute hoot and a half!). Had a great time, but am veeeeeeeeeeery tired and hungover today. Ugh. One good thing? I met the local Sheriff who got back from Iraq a year ago. He said while he was there, there wasn’t a day that didn’t go by without bullets or something being launched against them (his Unit was in Baghdad). I asked him if he would go back and he said, “Not on your life”. Also, I think I may have met Steve Tyler of Aerosmith’s brother! LOL Okay, not sure, but he was an older guy with white hair (Steve Tyler still colors his, but would have white hair if he didn’t) and the exact same face as Steve’s! When I mentioned it to him, he just smiled and the three other guys who were with him said they were up here playing golf for the weekend at Sunday River in Bethel (@ 45 minutes from where I live). Hmmmmm….he didn’t deny that he was in fact Tyler’s brother. Aerosmith is a Boston band and the Tyler’s have family here and in New Hamshire. Sooooo….maybe I did meet Tyler’s brother? Could be!

Here’s a shot of the brook behind my home. It’s low right now, but picks up nicely after a downpour. Come spring this brook will be alive! I can’t wait!

As you can see, the leaves are starting to change here. They’re not at their most vibrant, but they will be! October is the month when they glow across the landscape. Now that I’m living in a mountainous area the foliage is going to be breathtaking for sure! I’ll try to remind myself to take pictures for all of you to see.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

The GOP presidential candidates are now “pro-BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW” party!

Wow. Can you believe that? Interesting…

I smell Karl Rove. Do you?

When the democrats had their debate a couple of nights ago, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards (the top 3 picked by the republican owned media, of course) could not say for sure that they would be bringing the troops home by 2013, because they weren’t sure what would happen between now and then. They appeared to be towing the neocon line when they did this. Well…

…guess how the republicans are spinning this in their favor?

The top four GOP candidates are now going to run on the image that they are now the OPPOSING PARTY to the ILLEGAL OCCUPATION IN IRAQ and will bring the troops home when George Bush leaves office!

Fuckers! The worst part? Dumbass Americans will believe them. They’ll say, “Hey, I want the troops home and the democrats are saying that they don’t know if they can get them home by 2013, but the republicans are saying that they will do it right after Bush leaves! I’m voting republican now to bring the troops home!”.

Spit.

Rush Limbaugh is a phony soldier!

Rush Limbaugh (Ass Limbo) has always believed that he is the voice of the American people. He truly believes that when words leave his mouth he is speaking the truth. Of course, under deep analysis of his rhetoric it’s almost always found that the man is spinning the truth, outright lying, or just pulling shit out of his ass to make himself or his listeners feel better about their warped view of the world!

Ass Limbo has called our soldiers who have spoken out against George Bush’s & Dick Cheney’s illegal occupation of Iraq, “phony soldiers”.

The following picture is of a phony car salesman….oh wait!…this is a REAL CAR (or snake oil) SALESMAN!…it’s a young Ass Limbo…

Ewww.

Who is the true ‘phony soldier’? Is it the soldiers who have actually been on the battlefield in an illegal occupation where our soldiers are being told they’re fighting for our rights as Americans, and who know first hand that the occupation can’t be won…or…is it the fat, slobby, drug-addicted, Oxy-snortin, pompous ass who hates the poor and who got deferments during the Vietnam war and his excuse for not serving his country back then was, “I have an ass cyst and can’t shoot a gun at this time. Plus, I’m better than you people” (not his exact words, but pretty close if you ask me!)?

Well, which one is the phony soldier? I know!!!!! *raising hand & jumping over everyone* It’s the fat fuck who considers himself an American hero……..the fake American hero, but the real CAR/SNAKE OIL SALESMAN OF AMERICA!

Oh, but Ass Limbo truly believes he is the soldier for the neocons! He thinks he’s sacrificing for all of us! (Fuck off, asshole. *punch, kick, face kick, spit*)

So, it’s okay to call American soldiers ‘phony soldiers’, because they’re speaking out against George’s illegal occupation, but when Moveon.org that represents over 3 million people in this country (and is on the same side as 70% of this country) refers to Bush’s top General, as Betray Us with tons of proof that he has (how many times do we have to hear from Bush’s General Mouthpiece that after EACH AND EVERY SURGE OVER THE PAST YEAR is going WELL, when George & Betray Us keep asking for more soldiers TO KEEP SURGING over there? It doesn’t make sense and it’s betraying our trust!), it is not okay?

I demand the Senate to do a resolution condemning Ass Limbo for his comment and I want the resolution to be named, “Resolution to Condemn the GOP-Nazi Members For Their Un-American, Anti-Soldier Rhetoric Hypocritical Disgusting Traitorous Labeling!”.

Can you think of a better title? Let me know. Maybe this post should be about what to name it. :-)

Condi Rice is inteferring with Congress’ investigation of Blackwater

Well, of course she is! That gap-toothed bitch wouldn’t dare let the democrats come between her and her White House Husband (George Bush) religious militia who are using Iraqis as target practice for their jihad!

Jees.

Condi wants the Iraqi PM to apologize?

Uh huh. Yeah, okay. *rolling eyes*

From the LA Times:

The State Department has repeatedly defended Blackwater in the aftermath of the Sept. 16 incident. After a brief ban on diplomatic travel outside the Green Zone, department officials have resumed trips under Blackwater guard and have said that the company’s status has not changed.
>
In his letter to Rice, Waxman also objected to a move by the department to bar its officials from speaking with committee investigators about corruption inside the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki.
>
An e-mail received by the committee Monday night indicated that the State Department was treating information about corruption as classified, suggesting it might undermine bilateral relations.
>
“The scope of this prohibition is breathtaking,” Waxman wrote. “On its face, it means that unless the committee agrees to keep the information secret from the public . . . the committee cannot obtain information about whether Mr. Maliki himself has been involved in corruption or has intervened to block corruption investigations.”
>
Waxman said that previous official reports of corruption within Iraqi ministries were treated as “sensitive but unclassified.” The State Department retroactively classified the reports after his committee requested them, Waxman said.

Future US Senator Tom Allen of Maine is correct again…

(PLEASE GIVE TOM ALLEN A LITTLE LOVE HERE!)

The following is future US Senator Tom Allen’s response to the Congress condemning Moveon.org’s truth about General Betray Us:

“I respect General Petraeus and honor all of our troops. They have done a phenomenal job and done everything that we have asked of them. General Petraeus is a soldier who simply takes orders from the Commander-in-Chief, President Bush.
>
Unfortunately the President and his Republican allies in Congress have continued to order General Petraeus and the rest of our troops to continue fighting. What we need is a plan to bring our troops home.
>
I voted against this resolution today because I believe it is the job of the Congress to bring our troops home, not legislate free speech.”

Meanwhile, Maine’s jackboot licking Bush/Lieberman/War supporting Senator, Susan Collins, voted against free speech by those who disagree with her views on the illegal occupation of Iraq, George Bush, and the rest of the insanity over the past seven years….

Bush’s Attorney General nominee is connected to the Iranian government?

(cnn.com photo)

It appears that Mukasey once represented (in a legal matter) an organization run by the Iranian government:

From The Blotter:

For more than 25 years, U.S. intelligence and law enforcement authorities say they have suspected the New York-based Alavi Foundation is a “front” for Iranian espionage and anti-American activities.
>
For more than 25 years, court records show the foundation has been publicly defended and represented by the New York law firm where attorney-general nominee Michael Mukasey is a partner: Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP.

If I were the democrats, I would DIG DEEP on this guy. I mean, really, it doesn’t look good for Bush to be nominating a guy who defended a company owned by the Iranian government, especially after the uproar over the Iranian president speaking at Columbia University and it certainly won’t look good if the democrats AND republicans approve of him either!

Of course….

Dick Cheney when he was running Halliburton and up until a couple of years ago did business in Iran! That was alright to George W. Bush, apparently. Hell, according to the asswipes of our country, as long as one is a republican and doing business with the enemy of America then it’s fine and dandy…oh…but if you have pointy ears like Dennis Kucinich does, then you’re a traitor to America and shouldn’t be running the country! *rolling eyes*

Former Reagan State Department official charging $9.11 for Guiliani’s campaign

Well, of course he is! Hey, if the reich wingers of our nation can’t use the deaths of 3,000 Americans for fundraising, then what can they use? Their party’s morals & values? Bah hahahahahaha! Oh gawd, no. For Guiliani to run on morals & values to raise money is so laughable, besides, he made $100 million off the backs of the Americans who died in his city back on 9/11/01, so we shouldn’t be surprised that a former Reagan employee is doing the same thing now…

From the Associated Press:

WASHINGTON (AP) — A spokeswoman for Rudy Giuliani says it is unfortunate that a supporter throwing a party that aims to raise $9.11 per person for the Republican’s presidential campaign is asking for that amount.
>
Abraham Sofaer is having a fundraiser at his Palo Alto, Calif., home on Wednesday, when Giuliani backers across the country are participating in the campaign’s national house party night.
>
But Sofaer said he had nothing to do with the “$9.11 for Rudy” theme.
>
“There are some young people who came up with it,” Sofaer said when reached by telephone Monday evening. He referred other questions to Giuliani’s campaign.

It’s the Young Republicans of this country’s fault for coming up with this idea? Uh huh, oh, okay! Yeah, yeah, these young republicans aren’t listening to the older Masters of their party for the past seven years. Oh no! They just happen to pull this one out of their asses all on their own! Spit.

If 9/11/01 had never happened, the republic party would be completely dead right now. Using the deaths of 3,000 Americans is all this party has. It’s despicable and disgusting to me that they are still resorting to this kind of barbarianism. If Hillary Clinton had done this kind of fundraising, you can bet your sweet bippy that the republicans right now would be running around like a bunch of 2 year olds holding their crotches like they had to pee real bad spewing that Hillary is un-American and a big fat meanie!

Woohoo! Gawd is this video fun to watch!

(VIDEO FOUND OVER AT FIREDOGLAKE)

It’s nice to see REAL democrats standing up for the rule of law and not waivering to the right wing nutjobs who believe that they don’t have to follow the laws no matter what the rules/laws are!
