Chellie Pingree gets a big huge hug from Emily’s List!

Wowzer! That is huge news for Ms. Chellie and a huge reflection of who she is as well! Congratulations Pingree team! Woohoo!

From the Emily’s List press release:

Emily’s List is the biggest political action committee in our country and the fact that they chose Chellie Pingree to back for the 2008 race is fantastic! Way to go, Chellie!

What is so interesting is this past Sunday when I hung out with Ned Lamont & Chellie Pingree, Mainefem, who was there at the fundraiser later in the day, said to me that she couldn’t believe that Emily’s List hadn’t picked Chellie yet. She said it would be significant if they did. Well, viola! I have to say…Mainefem has true political insight brewing in that little body of hers!

Here’s what Mainefem had to say when Emily’s List made their announcement:

A *hearty* congrats to Chellie Pingree…having supported Chellie in her ‘02 statewide U.S. Senate race against Collins–as well as being a fellow ardent Second Waver feminist, it’s about *time* that Maine voters added some progressive estrogen into its Democratic party; “voice” as well as down into the D.C. Beltway (hat tip to WhiteNoiseInsanity)!

That’s right girl! The more estrogen the better, and plus, Chellie would be the FIRST DEMOCRATIC WOMAN IN THE STATE OF MAINE TO BE ELECTED TO CONGRESS! We have republican women now doing that, so why not have some female Democratic love for our state? I’m up for that!

Chellie is a proud progressive and is the salt of the earth. She will be a fighter for us and I’m so crazy with excitement that Emily’s List sees this too!

Chellie’s ‘party’ got started on a Wednesday night! Oh boy. Thrilling! You go girl!

Ahhh yes, typical reich wing bullshit…judging someone by the way they look and not by the content of their character! Is this why you fell in love with George Bush, Rick Santorum, Arlen Specter, Tom Delay, Fred Thomspon, Dick Cheney, and the other “good looking” reich wingers? Was it their content of their character or their “fine good looks” that made you click your jackboots together and say ‘Seig Heil’!?!

Chellie is good looking…….INSIDE and OUT. Members of your party, J Barrows? OMG…nothing but a bunch of traitors to America no matter what they look like!

Chellie is going to be terrific for Maine and our nation. She’s the salt of the earth and not some phony warmongering reich wing fascist Pig like we have currently running our nation!

I agree with that fear-filled guy fucking off, but let’s not assume he rode in on a horse. Those types usually don’t ride anything more challenging that the TV remote. Or more likely, he just yells at the wife, “Turn up FOX, Wilma, I can’t hear what they’re drilling into my tiny brain!”

And yeah, fem-blogger all the way, but about the foul-mouth part – I’ve got this reverse Tourette’s thing going and when I try to cuss, it comes out really stupid. Example: Hi, honey, wow did I have a fucky day.

See? I’ve been asked to leave the cussing to those who know how.
