I just got off the phone with my realtor (the closing is at 2pm) and she told me that the seller’s people don’t have the necessary paperwork done (this house is teetering on foreclosure, but even with the contract between us, there is stuff that needs to be cleared on the seller’s end prior to closing) and we can’t close today. She said that it would be either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week (school for my son starts on Thursday).
I said to her, “What a bunch of fucking assholes! You tell the fucking assholes that I want to be in that fucking house today, because my apartment is fucking empty and I’ll be damned if my son is going to start school 12 fucking hours after we move the fuck in! You tell them I want their permission to move in today for crying out loud or I’m going to go postal on them!”. Ooopsie. My realtor is so sweet (her husband and my father were in the same Army Unit in So. Portland, Maine in the beginning of the Vietnam war), she said, “Okay Kay. I’ll tell them”. LOL
She’s on the phone with the seller’s realtor right now and if we’re not moved in by the end of fucking today I’m going to start cracking skulls together!
Last night the realtor gave me the “keys” to the house from the seller (not sure why because we hadn’t closed) and guess what? They were the wrong fucking keys! Not one of them fucking worked in any door! I said to him, “I had better have the CORRECT keys to this house tomorrow or I’m going to lose it and this town is going to see the first glimpse of what I’m capable of”. The seller’s realtor is ALSO not happy with these sellers and got my drift.
So, here’s my parting shot to the seller, his ex-wife, and their mortgage/title company! Just accept it….you’re so pathetic!

Hi everybody!
Gawd, how I miss the box that contains the liquor. LOL All I’m going to say is it has been a loooooooong summer trying to buy my first home. Tomorrow, I’m going to be around so many boxes… that I’ll probably have nightmares the first night sleeping in my new home! I’m serious. I’m tired of looking at them, stepping around them, stepping into them, and just having them around me! I’m itching just thinking about being around all those boxes tomorrow and through the weekend.
Sooooooo, as you know…
Tomorrow is FINALLY the closing day for my new home. I am so excited and I have a feeling I won’t sleep much tonight and will probably be up in the middle of the night thinking and worrying about stuff that I shouldn’t be thinking and worrying about. Speaking of that, a day or two ago I woke up in the middle of the night worrying about whether I’ve packed my shampoo (*rolling eyes*) and then last night I woke up out of dead sleep realizing that I had forgotten my father’s 68th birthday on Tuesday! I tossed and turned for at least an hour upset about it. Ugh. Well, I made it up to my father today. I walked into his home @ 1:30pm and said, “Happy Birthday Dad! Can you fix my vacuum cleaner?”. LMAO I then proceeded to give him his gift and card with a chuckle, of course. Vacuum is also fixed. 
The closing time for my home has been pushed up from 9am to 2pm, but that doesn’t matter because I’ve got a ton to do tomorrow anyways, so it’s just as well. My phone & Internet won’t be installed until Monday or Tuesday, so until then, you won’t see me behind the wheel of the White Noise Insanity limo for a few days!
I’ll miss you people.

Lance Dutson of Maine Web Report stated on his blog that he would like for Sen. Susan Collins & Congress Tom Allen to have a thoughtful debate about the issues of today. Lance says he doesn’t like the atmosphere of this election. Uh huh. Well, apparently Lance doesn’t understand who he’s working for. He’s working for Suzie-Q who is a jackboot licker and whose re-election race is in the Top 10 of the country! Why is it in the Top 10? Oh that’s right! Republicans are despised by Americans…especially the republicans who have aligned themselves with George Bush, Joe Lieberman and anyone who wants the illegal occupation of Iraq to continue, you know, a country that did not attack us and a country that was DEFENSELESS AGAINST US after a bunch of big fat lies were told to the American people to get this illegal occupation started and going!

Research? Hey Susan!! Mainers would like to hear what YOU have to say about Iraq and not the daily rants from your paid blogger about big & bad DailyKos is or how the POWERFUL “foul-mouthed fem-bloggers” of FireDogLake are hurting your blogger’s one little feeling! If what Lance is saying is true that you are dying for an intelligent conversation about Iraq, YOU WOULD JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO TALK, WHETHER IT’S IN A TOWN HALL MEETING FORMAT OR LIVEBLOGGING WHERE MAINERS & AMERICANS CAN ASK YOU QUESTIONS, oh, but you won’t, huh? Sen. Susan Collins does not want to talk about Iraq. She wants to hide under the blankets for the next year rather than face questions by the American people or Mainers about Iraq. Why? Well, she’s just like you….she was hoping to sail to the finish line to the 2008 election and is hoping & praying Mainers will forget about: Iraq, George Bush, Joe Lieberman, Rick Santorum, the Iraq escalation, her voting record, her saying that she’d only be in office for two terms and is now running for her 3rd term, and her hoping & praying that Mainers will think she’s still a moderate when clearly the company she keeps and her voting record disprove that time and time again!
So Lance, if what you say is true that Sen. Susan Collins is wanting to have an intelligent dialogue with Cong. Tom Allen about Iraq then I hope Allen’s office contacts you to set it up, since that is what you said above! I hope Suzie doesn’t have excuse on why she can’t this time around too, Lance. You said she wants this. We’ll have to see, huh Lance?
This is interesting…I woke up this morning to a report on my local news that a house guest at the Bush’s home in Kennebunkport, Maine at Walker’s Point, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. The name of the person was not released nor was the status of his or her injuries.
A mob hit? Could be. A drunken escapade? Who knows, but could very well be considering the reputation of this place in years past!

A couple nights ago I got an email from Michael Hein from the Maine Christian Civic League (CCL) who provided me with a link to a post he had done. I clicked on it and found that the CCL reporter had been removed from the Maine Pagan Pride Day parade and ole Michael apparently wants me to feel bad for “his Christians” who were treated so ‘awfully’ by those “Satan worshipers”. *rolling eyes*
Here’s my email response to him:
Personally, I think the Christian Civic League should be thrown out of the state because I think you guys are evil. You spread hate about other’s beliefs and you sure as hell act like yours is the only belief that matters. It’s attitudes like yours that has hurt Christianity and has divided this once great nation of ours. I think what you and your ilk did to Rita Moran was disgusting, childish, and against the teachings of Jesus Christ. You guys basically suck and like I said….you should all be thrown out of the state and not just out of a parade!

Why I am not feeling bad for ole Michael and the rest of the crew over at the CCL is because a few months ago, this group decided to go after Rita Moran, who is the Chair of the Kennebec County Democrats, because she is a practicing Pagan. Not only did they ‘expose’ this (most knew that she was a Pagan and to the democrats around her it was no big deal…it was CCL that made it seem like she had something to hide) about her, but they decided to post every single solitary way to get ahold of her, meaning, they posted her home phone number and her address, as well as, her email addresses etc. at work and whatnot. Apparently, this is what “good” Christians do to those who aren’t walking around with a Christian bible stuck to their faces!

Michael & Rita both have a right to practice their own spiritual & religious beliefs, but it is not okay for Michael and his ilk to go after other religious persons, just because they’re not practicing their brand of Christianity! I like the idea of changing the 1st Amendment to read: FREEDOM FROM RELIGION. I think our nation should safely assume that a good portion of our country is religious and/or spiritual and the law should be used to protect those of us who don’t want to participate in any of it!
Michael Hein and his CCL do not have my sympathy, because you know damn well, if it was a Christian Pride Day 2007 parade that was going on and a Pagan reporter showed up to report on it, ole Michael and others would have done the same thing! They would have gone after the “Satan worshiper” who dared take their wicked pictures!
It’s the hypocrisy I can’t stand. In fact, I’m tired of anything Christian at this point. Christianity has become a cult of hateful hypocritical swines, because of people like Michael Hein, and it’s too bad, but then again, they’ve reaped what they’ve sewn. If you’re a Christian and you wonder why you can’t say it loudly and proudly today, you can thank people like Michael Hein for ruining it for you. Sorry. Deal with it.

First off, Lance Dutson of the Maine Web Report has banned me after a couple of days of posting on his site. I was able to comment over there freely for months now, but after he got a huge amount of traffic to his site recently after accusations he made against some liberal blogs online, (not sure if his site crashed or if he took it down to make some changes to it for us commenters), he decided to make everyone register to comment (which is not unusual, of course) and would then email us a password to be able to. Well, I did this and within a day or two, a warning message came up that my session had expired. Huh? Expired? After one to two days? I sent Lance an email to ask if I was banned and I have yet to hear back from him yet. Honestly, I don’t think I will and if he does, it will be after I post this blog entry to make himself look like the “victim” to big bad Kay!

It’s not surprising that Suzie-Q’s blogger doesn’t like the freedom of speech on his blog. Suzie didn’t care too much of the freedom of speech by the NAACP years ago when they spoke out against George W. Bush. Yeah, yeah, she and four other Senators sued the NAACP, because after 9/11 if you weren’t wrapping yourself in the American flag tightly and clicking your jackboots together under false fear to show that you are a nationalist & supporter of the Fuhrer and his Fourth Reich Agenda, then you were accused of being on the side of the terrorists! So, it’s not surprising that Lance is not allowing liberals and others who don’t agree with Suzie-Q and her atrocious voting record to comment on his blog.

One thing about the people of Maine who have lived in our state all their lives (or those who have moved here who love our state the way it is)…is they love the land here and they treat it the same way as the American Indians did…with the attitude…that if you treat the land with respect, it will give back to you. Unfortunately, there are people from away who don’t give a flying rat’s ass about our land and who think that our land is theirs to tear up, to rip apart, and to do what they want with it and could care less what we think. Why? Profit baby! That’s the name of the game….PROFIT.
Recently, I found a message on my “About” page from a woman in northern Maine, Martha Tracker, who is extremely upset (and rightfully so!) about a wind farm that is coming to her town of Prentiss TWP. Here’s part of what she said to me:
I live in Prentiss TWP close to the Canadian border…I have a problem with a wind farm soon to come to my area…This is solely a money making thing for Maine. The people living around the mountain will live in torment…the animals will leave Stetson Mt. Tourism is all we have left up here. Now Maine wants to take that away…we are poor…We are the sacrifice…but it won’t be easy like the Mars Hill wind farm. We are in contact with Mars Hill people and there is a tough group here in Prentiss TWP…The mountain is old growth hardwoods full of all kinds of animals..it will be leveled and filled with concrete with wide roads to bring in equipment. There is nothing environmentally friendly about it. But since the state will make money ..the people who are supposed to protect us are taking a pass. Thanks for anything that you can pass on to us in our fight.
What also pulled at my heart strings was Martha told me in this message that the guys of Evergreen LLC (now there’s an Orwellian title if I ever read one! Evergreen? What evergreen is left after these guys come through, huh?) made fun of her at one of the wind mill meetings, because of a picture of her that appeared in the newspaper. It’s bad enough that these assholes are coming into our state to destroy another section of it (like they did in the Mars Hill area where the sound from the turbines sounds like a jet plane all the time), but to look down upon and laugh at the one of the residents who is pleading with them to stop their madness is downright disgusting, sleezy, hateful, and IS WHAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE DESPISED ABOUT THE PIGS IN THE ENERGY INDUSTRY FOR YEARS NOW SINCE THE ENRON DEBACLE. Remember that? Remember when the Enron employees were laughing at the people of California and elsewhere when they called to complain? No? Well, here’s a couple of reminders:

Selfishness & greed. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of this attitude in this country and it seems since 2000 that it’s only gotten worse. For crying out loud, Martha Tracker LIVES WHERE THIS WIND FARM IS GOING TO BE BUILT. Are the Evergreen LLC guys going to live there? Noooooooooooo! Gawd dammit, I wished they were and I wished they had one of those 40-story turbines in their back yard for crying out loud! Oh, if they did, you know damn well they’d be at the meetings fighting against it just like Martha and her neighbors are doing!

I just have to tell you how discouraged I, and my neighbors were after the meeting in Lee on the Evergreen wind power project at Stetson Mountain.I know in my heart we have lost the fight for this beautiful Mountain. I came home from the meeting today and cried.Tuesday night when the meeting started and all the people from Evergreen came out and said how great they were,and then it was our turn,I felt VERY intimidated speaking to this group of college educated people, who speak so well in public.Most of us out here, are here because we like the solitude and we don’t spend every day talking to the public.So it was very hard for most of us to say what was on our mind’s.I was very uncomfortable, and more so today.As I was sitting there by myself during the first 15 minute break, 4 or 5 member’s of the Evergreen group,were standing just two rows in front of me and one of them came up and opened the front page on the Bangor Daily, with my Neighbor Martha Thacker on the front page.They ALL were laughing and one was opening his arms wide,mocking her,because thats how she had her arms in the paper.I just sat there and stared at them, and they knew I was there. I felt like they were laughing at all of us out here.I know we are not as smart or dress as nice as them, but then we are not rich here in Prentiss.I just don’t understand how they could be so cruel,these nicely dressed young men.I guess we are from different world’s. We tried to help save that Mountain that God made, but I think mankind is about to destroy it and the way life is, and should be, here.Thing’s will never be the same here again if this passes.This won’t really give job’s to anyone around here for any amount of time, and we will look at them for the rest of our live’s.I just can’t believe how unfair this is, we have no way to fight a group of people like them.We also still didnt get any answers about the transmission line’s, or fire danger,our wells,or if they will widen our roads.They never answer what we ask and are concerned about.But boy those fella’s can smile! It’s not just the destruction of the land that Martha and others are upset about, it’s the noise of these windmills that is driving people out of the towns where the windmills are and it’s reducing the value of their properties for crying out loud. And…it’s not helping that the assholes of Evergreen LLC are acting like the Enron guys when Martha or Roberta speak out in protecting their way of life here!

Can you imagine what it sounds like when the windmills are going full-bore and being the highest noise makers in the area, can you imagine having to listen to this noise all day everyday? These turbines are being put in rural areas where there is no city traffic or the constant hum of trains & traffic everyday. Honestly, it’s bullshit to me for anyone to say that these 40 story windmills & their turbines are as quiet as a summer evening here in Maine. Pure bullshit!
Here’s a picture of the Mars Hill farm project that has taken over the mountain top in the area. Again, the noise from these turbines is driving the people absolutely bananas who live near them and it is also driving the animals away from the area too. Evergreen LLC is planning on putting in the LARGEST WINDMILL FARM IN THE NORTHEAST IN MARTHA TRACKER’S AREA OF THE STATE. This is why Martha, Roberta, and others in the surrounding area are upset. Can you blame them? I can’t. Windmill technology on the surface sounds like a good idea, but in the end, it ends up being a major annoyance for our way of life up here:

I asked Martha if she would be willing to send me her concerns, so I could post it on my blog. Hey, speaking truth to power even if our voice cracks is what we do best in our state and here in the back seat of the White Noise Insanity limo for crying out loud, so of course I asked her to do this.
Here’s what Martha Tracker had to say:
Evergreen LLC put a wind farm in Mars Hill that started operations around the first of the year. The people all thought the power would be theirs. It went into the Canadian grid instead. There are 18 families there who are suing Evergreen now. They misrepresented the noise factor to the state. So now the wind farm in Mars Hill exceeds the legal limit. Evergreen representatives handed the town manager $500,000 and promised $250,000 for 20 years. NOBODY read the proposal which is 5 inches thick. Guess they said there would be very little noise and the proposal was more honest.Town Manager Ray Mersereau said that town officials had to sign off on the permit application(which they didn’t read) but doesn’t know if the noise information was included…“The DEP believed the company would be able to meet noise level requirements”…, but Robin Cluky of DEP says there are no formal complaints. You would think they would not be welcome back in the state, but the red carpet is being thrown out for Stetson Mt. Robin Cluky. She was project manager for Mars Hill and hasn’t had one complaint. Wendy Todd of Mars Hill met with Robin, Neil Archer regional director for DEP in Mars Hill and Andrew Fiske…Robin’s boss. The meeting was because Robin continues to tell people she hasn’t gotten any formal complaints . Mr. Fiske said the complaints were formal enough. Robin told me and two of my neighbors that she hasn’t gotten any formal complaints after that meeting. So the noise levels must be a big issue.

Mars Hill is a mess. I found out why the state treats us with such disdain…Maine will sell the power to Massachusetts in the summer and Canada in the winter. We have more than enough electricity to meet our needs. This is strictly for revenue. Evidently, there is a lot of money to be made for Evergreen LLC to be allowed back in the state after the debacle in Mars Hill. Underwater cables will have to be built from Maine to Boston and Maine tax payers will have to pay for part of it. The head of Maine’s public utilities commission says he has real concerns about the project. Mars Hill has had a 20% rate hike in electricity bills and are due for another one the first of the year. GE makes the turbines and does the maintenance for the Mars Hill wind farm and I suppose would do the same for ours. Guess you know about their clout. Tourism is all that is left in upper state of Maine. It will hurt this area as there won’t be any more hunting…they are taking 4,700 acres.

Stetson Mt. has a great reputation for hunting . Denmark has been using wind farms for about 30 years. They are no longer allowed on land. Germany has people on disability from living close to a wind farm. ..causes irregular heart beat, insomnia and anxiety. In fact the effects of wind farms on those who live close by are similiar to Nazi torture techniques. Boot in the dryer…jet planes taking off high overhead type noise. Our property would be worthless…the one thing this area has going for it is tourism…hunting and fishing will be gone, so Maine can make money off of it’s natural resources.

Not one coal fired plant has been closed down from wind farms because they need back up power. It is very expensive and worst of all to me…each turbine is almost 400 feet tall! Tall as a 40 story building.. This requires a hole filled with concrete as big as 3 double decker buses. All trees and vegetation has to go as it holds back wind. At night there will be strobe lights which are described as small lightning strikes. Daytime sunlight flickering of blades causes problems for autistic people…even with blinds drawn.

We can’t afford a lawyer. Pine tree legal says they can’t help us. The lawyer I talked to in Presque Isle said he didn’t think the ACLU would help either because it wouldn’t be a civil suit. Although our problems would be huge…the damage done to our Mother Earth is even worse. And to think, the appeal is green alternative energy…

It’s my hope that this post will give Martha & Roberta an added boost to their campaign to keep their way of life in Prentiss. It’s insane that these windmills are turning out to be a thorn in everyone’s side, but you’d think since the Mars Hill debacle, Evergreen LLC and other companies like them wouldn’t dare show their faces here in our state again. Nope! Here they are again laughing at the residents of these small towns all the way to the bank and leaving a shit pile behind them as they go. Disgusting.

A couple weekends ago, my son and I were traveling back from my parent’s house. We stopped at a store on the way home and my son snapped this picture of Jasper in the back seat waiting for me to come back. Apparently Jasper never moved his head or body until I came out of the store, even after my son kept trying to get him to turn around so he could take his picture. So cute.
As you can tell from the picture, Jasper is a well-fed dog. Of course, I don’t always plan to give him people-food for him to consume, because sometimes, he just takes the food off the counter and helps himself! For instance, a few days ago I set a package of sausage on the counter to thaw out and an hour or so later when I was outside having a cigarette, I came back inside to find 4 missing sausages from the package with the rest scattered all over the floor. LOL This is why we’ve nicknamed Japser, “Little Head, Big Body”. LOL Oh, he’s cute and it’s the only thing that is saving his arse from being homeless and living at the food pantry in Portland at the moment!
Okay, now for the busy parts…
Well, we finally have a closing date for the new home (the other home I made an offer on awhile back fell through on the first inspection of it) we purchased! Woohoo!!!! Here’s a picture of it…
We are crazy with excitement over it. The closing is scheduled for August 24th. Originally, the closing was July 9th, but the seller of the property decided to mention a couple weeks before closing that there was a problem with the title and that the neighbor to this property had approached him back in April when he put the house on the market to work together to fix it. He did nothing after he was approached. Of course, the seller conveniently announced this this late in the game because he and his soon-to-be ex-wife were hoping that my love for their home would mean that I would take on their problem. Nope! I told them, “It’s either a clean title or no sale”. I’ve got a clean title now. Magical, huh?
For the next week, my blogging may be down because of my stress level, though, sometimes blogging is helpful in relieving some of it if you know what I mean!
My schedule for this week:
Meet with mortgage company prior to closing
Do last walk through of our new home on Thursday night
Closing is at 9am on Friday
Leave closing and head to the house to bring up beds etc. so we can sleep there
Spend the rest of Friday moving stuff
Saturday, pack my father’s truck & trailer with crap for the dump
Wait for hours to dispose of my junk
Come back to apartment sometime on Saturday to start cleaning for new tenants
Continue spring cleaning apartment on Sunday and then rent steamer for the carpets
Sunday night, collapse into a heap and prepare for work on Monday!

August 25th, which is the day after the house closing, is the huge protest down in Kennebunkport where Dennis Kucinich, Cindy Sheehan, and the Indigo Girls will be appearing. I’ve been excited about this protest since the last one I attended back in the beginning of July, but now with the house closing and my son starting in his new school on August 29th, I’ve got way too much to do to be able to attend now. Bummer! Gawd, am I bummed out big time! The biggest reason I won’t be able to attend is that Saturday is Gray, Maine’s annual “Big Dump” day where you can get rid of large items for free that can’t be thrown out in the trash each week. Well, I’ve got a ton of stuff that I need to get rid of that I don’t want to bring with me to the house. These “Big Dump” days are long days too, because you can get there at 8am and can wait 2-3 hours (or more) for your turn to get rid of your stuff. The whole freaking town comes out for these things and I have no idea how long it will take for me and my father to get rid of my stuff! This is why it appears that the Kennebunkport protest will not be a reality for me this time around. Dammit.
Just thought I’d update all of you in case you were wondering what the heck is going on from the backseat of the White Noise Insanity limo! Your driver will be a little stressed out and could actually cause an accident if not careful, see? You need to know what is going on.
