Still drunk with power…

  3. kayinmaine says:

What he did today was unethical. He and his Thugs are the most unethical bunch of fucking assholes our nation has ever witnessed. Disgusting how they’ve trashed the rule of law in this country! And yes, he can do what he’s done today, but the American people WANT FUCKING ACCOUNTABILITY! He’s giving us all the middle finger and letting us know once again that he pisses on the US Constitution and our founding fathers. I hate him.

  4. kayinmaine says:

I know Smoke. What an unbelievable smack in the face! But hey, he’s a spoiled rotten brat, so he’s just responding to getting the anchor on the fishing boat stuck in the rocks, to the protesters who went after him this weekend, and to Putin who didn’t cave into him. He’s a fucking spoiled rotten brat! He & Cheney are the worst things to ever happen to our nation. Hands down. They’ll go down in history as this and they will not have a positive legacy at all. Good. I hate them!

  5. not surprised. i figured he would wait and sneak it in during a “terror scare” but this has been planned for a while.

all the pundits have their scripts, the hosts know what questions to ask.

They’re sick fascist Pigs, Chris. Whoever voted for George W. Bush in 2004 needs to be blind folded and shot right between the eyes!

  7. PISSED OFF at Hill’s house.

    ROYALLY PISSED OFF!

  8. Mike In Denver says:

Wow. Having a meltdown K? Bush was well within his authority to do what he did. Every president does it. Clinton pardoned Marc Rich and all of those other criminals as his last act as president. I don’t see liberals going after him for that! Why not?

  9. kayinmaine says:

Uh, yes I am Mike. Why? Because I care about my country. You don’t though. Do ya?

    From AMERICAblog:

    Harry Reid:

“The President’s decision to commute Mr. Libby’s sentence is disgraceful. Libby’s conviction was the one faint glimmer of accountability for White House efforts to manipulate intelligence and silence critics of the Iraq War. Now, even that small bit of justice has been undone. Judge Walton correctly determined that Libby deserved to be imprisoned for lying about a matter of national security. The Constitution gives President Bush the power to commute sentences, but history will judge him harshly for using that power to benefit his own Vice President’s Chief of Staff who was convicted of such a serious violation of law.”

    Pelosi:

The President’s commutation of Scooter Libby’s prison sentence does not serve justice, condones criminal conduct, and is a betrayal of trust of the American people. The President said he would hold accountable anyone involved in the Valerie Plame leak case. By his action today, the President shows his word is not to be believed. He has abandoned all sense of fairness when it comes to justice, he has failed to uphold the rule of law, and he has failed to hold his Administration accountable.

Amb. Joe Wilson (whose wife is the outed CIA agent):

“From my viewpoint, the president has stepped in to short circuit the rule of law and the system of justice in our country. In so doing, he has acknowledged Mr. Libby’s guilt for, among other things, obstruction of justice, which by definition is covering up for somebody in a crime. By commuting his sentence, he has brought himself and his office into reasonable suspicion of participation in an obstruction of justice. The commutation of (Libby’s) sentence in and of itself is participation in obstruction of justice.”

    Atrios:

President Bush engages in ongoing obstruction of justice by commuting Scooter Libby’s sentence.

And all of the Wise Men of Washington cheered.

Politely tell the White House what you think about this.

….WH has closed the comment line. We can call tomorrow.

    FDL:

Demonstrating his complete contempt for trial by jury, rule of law and his own Department of Justice appointees, George Bush thumbed his nose once again at the very concept of democracy and the Beltway Brahmins are cheering. The dirty unwashed masses who populate our juries are fit to judge each other, but evidently not the ruling class. David Broder can breathe a sigh of relief that People Like Him are safe from those overly zealous US Attorneys who might want to hold them accountable to the same absurd standards that the little people must live by.

    How quaint.

    Josh Marshall:

There is a conceivable argument — a very poor one but a conceivable one — for pardoning Scooter Libby, presumably on the argument that the entire prosecution was political and thus illegitimate. But what conceivable argument does the president have for micromanaging the sentence? To decide that the conviction is appropriate, that probation is appropriate, that a substantial fine is appropriate — just no prison sentence.

This is being treated in the press as splitting the difference, an elegant compromise. But it is the least justifiable approach. The president has decided that the sentencing guidelines and the opinion of judge don’t cut it.

The only basis for this decision is that Libby is the vice president’s friend, the vice president rules the president and this was the minimum necessary to keep the man silent.

    John Edwards:

“Only a president clinically incapable of understanding that mistakes have consequences could take the action he did today. President Bush has just sent exactly the wrong signal to the country and the world. In George Bush’s America, it is apparently okay to misuse intelligence for political gain, mislead prosecutors and lie to the FBI. George Bush and his cronies think they are above the law and the rest of us live with the consequences. The cause of equal justice in America took a serious blow today.”

    Obama:

“This decision to commute the sentence of a man who compromised our national security cements the legacy of an Administration characterized by a politics of cynicism and division, one that has consistently placed itself and its ideology above the law. This is exactly the kind of politics we must change so we can begin restoring the American people’s faith in a government that puts the country’s progress ahead of the bitter partisanship of recent years.”

  10. kayinmaine says:

Bush Sr. pardoned his criminal pals on Christmas Eve. Nice present, huh? Well, the country right now hates YOUR PRESIDENT, Mike. The moral majority (the republican party no longer can hold this title…ya fucking blew it and never really lived by it anyways!) of this country wants the Bush Regime to be held accountable for their crimes. Scooter Libby was found guilty on 5 felony counts. He lied to a Grand Jury, he perjured himself, and he obstructed justice. He was protecting Cheney and other members by doing all of this and he was “kicking sand” in the face of Patrick Fitzgerald the Special Prosecutor who Bush hired.

Scooter is a criminal and it’s a sad day in this country when Paris Hilton goes to jail and Scooter does not after being found guilty on 5 felony counts!

If you’re not upset, that means you love your party more than you do America. This is why you hate our soldiers. You’d rather leave them in Iraq then have your party face the reality that it’s made up of warmongering imbeciles who are incompetent, greedy, and nothing but a bunch of lying stinking criminals!

  11. Mike In Denver says:

Why didn’t they say those things when Clinton pardoned all of those criminals and his staff ransacked and vandalized the White House before leaving?

Does it mean that it’s ok for democrats to do the same kinds of things?

  12. Mike In Denver says:

Why havn’t YOU said anything about YOUR party of criminals K? Where is the outrage at the Clinton’s for their crimes? Where is the outrage against William Jefferson, Democrat Louisiana? Where is your FAIR outrage K? I guess it means you love your party of thugs and criminals and not America. It means you hate America. Why do you hate America K?

  13. kayinmaine says:

I don’t think the country was happy when Clinton did his pardons. Nixon did it, Bush Sr. did it, Clinton did it and now Bush. THE COUNTRY FUCKING HATES IT! The average American has to serve out their sentences and it’s a slap in the face when these assholes don’t have to.

You just want a archaic society, don’t ya? You’d be happy with an authoritarian dictatorship rather than a country that holds it’s government accountable for their actions.

Mike, you hate America. Just admit it.

  14. kayinmaine says:

I hope Jefferson goes to jail too! What the fuck is it that you can’t see as a liberal that I am one who cherishes the Constitution and the laws we have that govern this fucking country? Huh?

The last seven years in particular have proven to the American people that the republican party believes that it is above and beyond the laws of this country. YOUR VICE PRESIDENT said recently that he is not part of the Executive Branch because he doesn’t want to provide his documents. Well, he fucking has to! It’s the law of our nation. He does not own the fucking paper the documents on. The American people pay for it. Everything he does, whether on paper or on the computer, is the property of the American people. Get it?

If you want to keep talking about Clinton and Jefferson, go ahead, but you ARE IGNORING THE REAL CRIMES THAT HAVE BEEN COMMITTED BY BUSH, CHENEY, RUMMY, AND OTHERS IN THIS ADMINISTRATION!

  15. clif says:

Does this mean Paris Hilton has more courage than Scooter?

  16. Mike In Denver says:

No, I’m not ignoring what they have done. I think all of the scoundrels need to go. But I see the rage as being all one sided. What about the outrage of Sandy Berger stealing and burning classified documents? Caught red-handed. I never saw any outrage on the left for his deeds! What about Hillary Clinton misplacing the files of “Travelgate”? It’s called hypocrisy K, and you lefties are full of it! You hate America! You said so. Your treasonous lefty friends said so! Why do you hate America K? Why do you hate yourself?

  17. clif says:

At least her “crimes” weren’t outing a covert CIA agent working on the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and destroying the entire network of undercover spies and their contacts who were keeping tabs on Both Saddam and Iran, then lying to the FBI and a federal grand jury about what he did to destroy this CIA secret program, and undermine the security of the United States of America.

BTW foole neither did Marc Rich son………

But Georgie’s daddy did pardon the Iran Contra criminals so it looks like this time daddy’s ways were good enuf for his moron son.

Tell me again how all law and order you lying hypocrites are….

    From AMERICAblog:

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRESS CONTACT:

    MONDAY JULY 2, 2007 Randall Samborn 312-xxx-xxx

    STATEMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL
Statement of Special Counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald regarding today’s decision by President Bush to commute the 30-month prison sentence of I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby:

“We fully recognize that the Constitution provides that commutation decisions are a matter of presidential prerogative and we do not comment on the exercise of that prerogative.

We comment only on the statement in which the President termed the sentence imposed by the judge as “excessive.” The sentence in this case was imposed pursuant to the laws governing sentencings which occur every day throughout this country. In this case, an experienced federal judge considered extensive argument from the parties and then imposed a sentence consistent with the applicable laws. It is fundamental to the rule of law that all citizens stand before the bar of justice as equals. That principle guided the judge during both the trial and the sentencing.

Although the President’s decision eliminates Mr. Libby’s sentence of imprisonment, Mr. Libby remains convicted by a jury of serious felonies, and we will continue to seek to preserve those convictions through the appeals process.”

    http://www.haloscan.com/comments/katsiva/8871952468006003251/?dt=1183440774#2459754

  19. clif says:

Sandy Berger eventually pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material on April 1, 2005. Under a plea agreement, U.S. attorneys recommended a fine of $10,000 and a loss of security clearance for three years. However, on September 8, U.S. Magistrate Judge Deborah Robinson increased the fine to $50,000 at Berger’s sentencing. Robinson stated, “The court finds the fine [recommended by government prosecutors] is inadequate because it doesn’t reflect the seriousness of the offense.” Berger was also ordered to serve two years of probation and to perform 100 hours of community service.

No Pardon, NO commutation by Bush.

Scooter Libby was indited on five counts in the indictment that Fitzgerald announced on October 28, 2005, include one count of obstruction of justice, two counts of making false statements when interviewed by federal investigators, and two counts of perjury in his testimony before the grand jury. On 6 March 2007, the jury ultimately convicted him on four of the five counts but acquitted him on count three, the second charge of making false statements, concerning statements that he allegedly made about his conversations with Time reporter Matthew Cooper during his interviews by agents of the FBI.

Sentenced to what is NORMAL 30 months in cases like this, ONLY Scooter Libby gets a special attention by the President he was serving by revealing classified information, outing a CIA covert agent working in weapons of mass destruction proliferation, THEN Lying to the FBI and a Federal Grand Jury about what he and Karl Rove among others had done.

But when it comes time for Scooter Libby to serve the sentence imposed by a republican judge, and upheld by republican judges appointed by Reagan and Bush the elder, Bush the foole commutes his sentence to keep Scooter’s sorry ass out of jail.

There is NO real comparison to the case of Scooter Libby and Sandy Berger, except for anal reichwingers like YOU.

  20. clif says:

BTW stupid berger didn’t take the actual documents son, he took copies so he “burned nothing but copies after he was done with them,

The scoundrals who destroyed a very sensitive CIA program while outing a covert agent should be tried for TREASON.

Because they destroyed the program which the CIA was using to watch both Saddam before the war, and Iran……which we could have used about now.

  21. kayinmaine says:

Mike, if you think our country has not been one-sided since 9/11 then you are sadly mistaken and in denial. Since 9/11, the liberals, the Clintons, the whole democratic party and others not in the White House have been blamed for 9/11 and all the criminal acts of YOUR PRESIDENT. He and his minions have actively made sure either by their own mouths, their Press people, and the media that they are innocent while everyone else has the problem or are guilty. THEY NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND RIGHT NOW THE MORAL MAJORITY OF AMERICANS WANT THAT.

It’s not hypocrisy at this point in time, Mike. YOUR PRESIDENT AND HIS MINIONS need to be held accountable and bringing up Clinton shows that you guys are sore losers and think that ONLY DEMOCRATS SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! Not right and it’s criminal. There is nothing the democrats have done that is worse than what George Bush and his Band of Thugs have done in the past seven years here and overseas. That’s being one sided, Mike. OPEN YOUR EFFING EYES!

If you’re not outraged then you haven’t been paying attention at all.

  22. clif says:

Oh yea and your ignorant reichwing talking points do not actually have much in common with reality, but then again you fooles think you can make it all up, like scooter tried with both the FBI and the grand jury.

But then again you 28%ers are kinda the volkstrum at this moment in time aren’t ya son?

  23. kayinmaine says:

That’s right Clif. At the end of the day, the National Archives did not lose any records. Berger paid his fine and moved on. Have the members of the Bush Regime been held accountable even after a Special Prosecutor appointed by George himself found one of them guilty of 5 felonies? Nope! Justice is ONE-SIDED in America at the moment. One thing about the democrats, they take their medicine when it comes to shit like this. The republicans on the other hand actively avoid it. Why? ‘Cause they’re criminals!

The republican party should be abolished. They no longer understand the Constitution. They suck.

  24. kayinmaine says:

Right on Clif! *giving Clif a big hug and kiss*

  25. Mike In Denver says:

Remember, as long as you live, reside, work and dwell in this country, that makes Bush your president, too. If you don’t believe that, try going to Europe and telling those people he is not your president. After they finish laughing their ass off at you they’ll bitch slap you up side your numb skull. So, if you don’t like it here, move.

  26. Mike In Denver says:

Oh, and take that assclown clif with you. He can be your monkey on a leash begging for euros while you pump the hurdy gurdy.

  27. Carl Nemo says:

The real news today is white men can’t jump, nor can they play chess for that matter. Putin laid a “Blitzkreig checkmate” strategically speaking on these smug, inbred village idiots; ie., the Bushistas. Putin said fine, you want to put an anti-missile shield in Europe to protect them from terrorist missile attacks then you can place them in Russia much closer to the action from whenst they might be launched; i.e., from radical arabic nations.

If we don’t play by their suggested rules then Russia will re-target all of Europe and no doubt put a little extra nuclear retaliation frosting on the cake for North America too no doubt…!

Bushco has not only destabilized the entire Middle East, but they plan on re-starting the cold war along with a very expensive arms race again, except we as a nation are broke and the Ruskies are now awash in an ocean of oil and gas cash.

  28. clif says:

MiD GFY, I defended this country in time of war, and didn’t ask for a deferment or daddy to get me out of it, something, Bush, Cheney, Libby all FAILED to do.

Bush may be pResident in the White House, but he has done MORE damage to this country and it’s military then any president we ever have had, and he is clueless about it.

He is only where he is because his daddy was president before him, and Cheney needed a front man.(and that supreme court overturning the will of the majority of the american people).

  29. kayinmaine says:

George Bush doesn’t represent one thing I stand for. He sucks and he’s not my president. The End. If you think I have to love him and worship him, Mike, then you need to do the same for Clinton. He’s alive, so therefore, you must not utter a negative word about him. Get it?

  30. kayinmaine says:

Carl, thanks for the info! I knew this Scooter Libby commutation had something to do with his meeting with Putin. Poor Georgie, everyone is against him and his cohorts so he throws a hissy and decides to tell the American people and our criminal justice system to fuck off. Gawd, I hate his guts…more now than I did yesterday.

  31. kayinmaine says:

Mike, move to Saudi Arabia where no one has any rights and people are killed in the town square. Right up your alley. It’s what your party stands for…

  32. Mike In Denver says:

I hated Clinton but I never disavowed him to a foreigner, nor would I. I am not afraid to stand up to anyone who criticizes this country ot our leaders but you and your lefty buds along with the democrats are selling this country down the river for your own personal gain. The Chinese? it was Clinton who pushed that down our throats. Clinton enacted The Fair Trade Act. The Clintons are lackeys for Wal-Mart and Tyson foods. The list goes on, but you won’t acknowledge the left’s wrongs, only the rights. Get it?

  33. [...] Clark Link to Article george w bush George Bush, the lead traitor of America, has commuted Scooter [...]

  34. clif says:

MiD news flash Bush is the idiot destroying both this country and it’s Military, including handing the Chinese over a trillions dollars in OUR currency to hold or use as they see fit, in fact because of Bush’s idiotic fiscal policy in a time of war, the interest we pay to China is enough for them to use it to pay a large portion of their military budget while we have to BEG them for money to pay for ours.

But such up to him some more son……

  35. clif says:

Because history will still see Clinton as a president who presided over a fairly good economic time and he didn’t entail the US Military if the greatest military fiasco since the Roman empire, Bush not so good, worst president EVER, and he and is doing to the Army in Iraq, what Afghanistan did to the Soviet military.

But you clueless reichwing id-jets still think he has a clue.

  36. kayinmaine says:

Me neither Asher! *bonking Bush on the head with a whipping spoon*

  37. kayinmaine says:

The republican party has pissed on our country. They keep telling us it’s raining but we know damn well they’re pissing down our backs once again!

If you love America, then you could not respect one thing George Bush and his Thugs have done over the past seven years. The End.

  38. kayinmaine says:

Mike loves the idea of trading nukes for mangos. He thinks it was a great deal.

  39. Mygawd, one would think the repuke trolls would be THRILLED at Dubya’s commuting of Scooter’s sentence.

Instead, they’re STILL FLAPPING THEIR JAWS ABOUT PRESIDENT CLINTON!

Repuke mantra: “But, but, but, but Clinton…..”

Does their PRESIDENT CLINTON PENIS ENVY never go away?

    Apparently not.

  45. Wordsmith says:

The bottom line is that Scooter Libby lied to protect whomever (Cheney, Bush) which obstructed the investigation. That’s why he was found guilty of obstruction of justice and lying to prosecutors.

Jesus Christ – we’re still bringing up Clinton. Nothing new – all the shit on the ReThuglicans, and they bring up Bill. Poor Bill….poor Clenis!

  49. kayinmaine says:

That’s weird, Wordsmith. Haloscan has been screwing up a lot lately and when the Libby news broke Haloscan went batshit crazy!

    Is AMERICAblog down?

We had a permit and police protection in the town that the Bush family vacations. Ha ha. Sucks for you, huh? You’d hate Maine because we honor the laws of the Constitution.

  57. kayinmaine says:

    5 felonies = Scooter Libby

    The End.

  58. Wordsmith says:

The day Gonzo was in town, the police were amazingly laid back. They barely had a presence. They escorted him to and from the airport – sat around and watched us. There were 3 when I first got there; two more came.

During the last HUGE protest we had with a couple of thousand, an Idaho State Trooper assigned to our statehouse told us in the 16 years he’s been assigned, he remembers two occasions where there was any kind of disturbance from peace/political protesters. It’s inconsistent. They’ve had more problems with the Right-to-Lifers causing problems by engaging in shouting or punching matches with folks, defacing property, putting shit on people’s cars (handbills with creepy pics, etc).

  59. Wordsmith says:

    You know my policy, Kay.

That is causing company grade officers to vote on this war with their feet and LEAVING the service as fast as their commitment runs out because Bush can’t figger out how bad he screwed up. I know people that were convicted of lesser crimes and received more time than Libby. We knew this was coming. Stupid Bush backers. You all should strap up and go fight in this illegal, immoral war. Most of the numbers in the Directory match what I’ve been able to glean from open sources, so it looks authentic. The offices are taken from the White House site, and the numbers are formatted like so: 1-202-555-1212 / 1-202-555-1212, where the first number is via internet search, and the second, italic number is from the Directory:

Here’s the Scooter checkmate in a nutshell: Can you lie about something that never happened? Did you ever stop beating your ‘unbeatenwife’. Can you ever stop abusing your un-abused kids?

The whole trial was frivolous. Especially since Patrick knew beforehand from whence the ‘Plame’ info was leaked.

Here’s the Scooter checkmate in a nutshell:

Translation here comes a whole bunch of reichwing bullshit talking points which have very little to do with reality or the truth, but pusface does that quite well.

Can you lie about something that never happened?

Yes asshole, because YOU just did.

Richard Armatige, Karl Rove, Scooter Libby, and Ari Fleisher all broke the law outing a covert agent of the CIA who was working on the non proliferation of nuclear weapons for the CIA so the CIA placed her in a very secret position of NOT OFFICIAL COVER, which means she was employed and paid by the CIA, but the CIA would deny that and so would she to keep her cover intact.

However because they denied what they did, and stonewalled th4e investigation Patrick Fitzpatrick could NOT prove that crime, however while he was investigation the crime of releasing information about a sensitive CIA top secret program which included spying on both Iraq and Iran about their attempts to acquire nuclear weapons, scooter Libby LIED to the FBI which is a felony and Libby was found guilty of that crime, and Libby LIED to a graqnd jury and Libbyw as found guilty of that crime so the crimes which he was found guilty of he committed.

Since this “operation” was directed by Dick Cheney which was also shown at Libby’s trial it seems scooter was doing what Cheney wanted, and with the way Cheney was running the day to day operations of the Executive Branch which the Washington Post showed, it seems Rove, Armatige and Fleisher were also doing Mr Cheney’s illegal bidding of destroying a very secret CIA program and outing one of the people who worked at the CIA which the CIA wanted to keep secret. At the same time the criminals at the direction of Cheney also “outed” anybody else at Brewster Jennings because when Valire Plame was exposed as an employee of the CIA working undercover, EVERYONE else who worked at Brewster Jennings was also “exposed”.

Thus in his desire to destroy the TRUTH, which Joe Wilson was letting the entire world see, about the LIES Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld ET AL employed to get their illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, Cheney was willing to orchestrate the destruction of a very secret program which the CIA used to keep track of the actions of people Bush has claimed wants to harm this country, to acquire Nuclear weapons.

In essence Cheney placed his desire for lies and obscuration of the truth ahead of the security of this nation and all it’s people.

People like YOU pusface just suck his ass as he does treasonous things like this.

Did you ever stop beating your ‘unbeatenwife’. Can you ever stop abusing your un-abused kids?

Meaningless plablem which this stupid foole throws in to try to HIDE the truths of the crimes and treason of the people he still backs for some unfathomable reason.

Typical reichwing attacks on the truth and the people who really endangered the security of this country and it’s citizens for political partisan purposes to hide the crimes they committed starting a war of aggression.

    The whole trial was frivolous.

No it was NOT numbnuts, ther trial was requested by the CIA and the US Justice Department found reasonable cayuse to try scooter Libby for the felonies of lying to the FBI and a duly impaneled Grand Jury. The charges stood up to the scrutiny of both the trial judge who was appointed by George W Bush for his tough LAW AND ORDER stance, and the jury found Libby had c0ommitted crimes which MOST people spent 3-4 years in a federal prison for committing.

BTW numbnuts, The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals has denied Scooter Libby’s request for an appeal bond. Which means they found the trial and charges had merit.

    Which means they basically are saying;

YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT SON….

Especially since Patrick knew beforehand from whence the ‘Plame’ info was leaked.

No son he did NOT know Richard Armatige, Karl Rove, Scooter Libby and Ari Fleisher at the direction of Richard Cheney had illegally give members of the american Press top secret information about a CIA agent who was working on non proliferation of nuclear weapons as political payback to Joe Wilson and try to use that information as a way to obscure the lies they told to get an illegal war in IRAQ and to keep some of the lies they told to get that war hidden from the american people in an election year.

See son in order to keep the lies they told in 2002 and 2003 to get that illegal war from being totally exposed in an election year they had the idea of releasing secrets of the CIA and who worked there, to the press to try to discredit the truth Joe Wilson had told them earlier, and to try to make it into another reichwing spin and disinformation campaign in the 2004 election cycle, and stupid moronic people like YOU still spread the lies.

So it did matter, the trial was totally justified, scooter got the same as around 1000 people in the last couple of years have gotten for lying to the FBI or a Grand jury.

What Scooter Libby did according to Patrick Fitzgerald, when announcing the indictment of Libby, said that what Libby had done was the equivalent of “throwing sand in the face of the umpire” and then asking him to make a call at the plate. He could not pursue the investigation of the leak because Libby obstructed him from doing so by lying to the FBI and to the Grand Jury.

So you nor anybody else do not know if there was an underlying crime BECAUSE Libby lied.

  74. Clif says:

    BTW pusboy as David Corn points out;

Mr. Rove did leak to Mr. Cooper and Mr. Novak. It was only because Time held its story for several days that Mr. Novak had the “scoop” and beat out Time. Had that not happened, Mr. Rove might have won the title of chief leaker.

Rove told Matt Cooper BEFORE Scooter libby told Robert Novak, but Novak published before Time, so the actual release of classified top secret inform, ation BY Karl Robve occurred before the release of cklassifioed top secret information by Scooter Libby, but until the Special Prosecutor check it out Fully he did not “know that” you winng nuts are so factually challancged it is incredable any body listens to you fooles at all, even if it is only 28% of the sheeple now a days.
